  2. Hey guys. So I’ve bought the JJR front pipe and bought a blitz Nur spec cat back. Just waiting for the cat to get delivered and I can get it installed! Just before I do, I’ve never seen this in an exhaust before. What is it? And can it/ should it be taken out? thanks!
  3. Hey guys, So turns out that the JJR cat backs are out of stock for the next couple months (emailed the manager today) can anyone link me to somewhere I can buy a cat back? cheers! Dan
  4. And just to confirm if I buy the jjr front pipe and the venom cat I’ll only need the cat back section and it’ll all be good to go right? thanks!
  5. Hey mate. thanks for the links! Do you know where I can buy any other brands for the cat back part of the exhaust? Haven’t been able to find any other than that JJR part that you mentioned above. i don’t want to buy a full exhaust just to use the cat back section?
  6. Hey mate! Thanks for the quick reply. I’ve looked into the parts you mentioned. Does that mean if I buy them I will only need to buy a cat back system? If so, can you recommend one? cheers Dan
  7. Hey guys. Might be a dumb question but I couldn’t find a definitive answer on the internet. Im looking at buying an xforce turbo back exhaust in the picture I’ve attached but I don’t know if I will need to buy a front pipe (also attached)? Does the front pipe and dump pipe do the same thing or will I need both? Thanks for answering the newb question!
  8. Hey guys, My car ( series 2 r33 gts-t) has been making this strange farting noise anytime it's over 3000 rpm and under boost. Doesn't seem to be there if I just cruise up to 4-5000rpm slowly but when it starts boosting is when I have the issues (the rpm's go up but doesnt feel like it's pulling harder at all) I have attached two (shitty) videos of my attempting to capture it on video. You may need headphones but it's right at the end of each little pull. Some other symptoms I've notice which may be related: -Terrible fuel economy (i get around 280km out of a tank!) -Slight smell of fuel when starting the car (most the time) - Massive decrease in power (Noticeably worse with A/C on) Car seems to pick up quickly for a second and then goes really sluggish. Also worth mentioning that the sound appears to be coming from somewhere between the middle and drivers side of engine bay. Ive attached this video link from a previous post because it shows the sound better than mine: https://youtu.be/UmogggtKUd8 A lot of people say it could be the GTR blow off valve (I had one installed) what are the chances that could cause all my symptoms? The car only has exhaust, front mount, pod filter, splitfires and all the other usual noob mods. Thanks for the help! and apologies for the longer than expected post ? - IMG_6486.MOV IMG_6487.MOV

  12. HELP! ECUtalk readings r33 gtst Hey guys, Got an ECUtalk consult cable delivered today. Sorry for the bad quality photo, had to take it on my phone because the screenshot and video functions on the computer weren't working. I was wondering if anyone was able to tell if any of these readings are off. The car was sitting at idle when the photo was taken. I had driven it around for around 20mins to get it warmed up beforehand. Not sure if the O2 sensor and the Fuel pump S/V and F/B O2 Lean readings are correct as i don't know what they are meant to be? Any information you can provide on any of these gauge readings would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, (will try and provide additional photos/videos if needed) dtrants
  13. OBD scanner for r33 Gtst S2? Hi All, I have read a lot of stuff online about OBD scanners and how they work with most cars post 1996. Would an OBD scanner work on my 1997 Series 2 R33 gtst? I have read a lot of mixed information online about it. Thanks! Dtrants
  14. Thanks again for the replies guys! Having a few issues with the car at the moment and would like to find someone who can fix it properly! Appreciate all the replies.

  16. Mechanic in Sydney Hi all! Looked through some older posts and found some answers to this but couldn't find any posts from the last few years so wanted to start a fresh one. Can anyone who lives in Sydney/NSW recommend a good mechanic in the Sydney area (doesn't matter where in Sydney) I have a S2 R33 gtst. Not overly modified but i want to start building it up and I want a trusted mechanic i can take her to! Thanks everyone! dtrants
  17. Thanks for the replies guys! will look into them both
  18. Hi all, I need to replace the o2 sensor in my 97 r33 gtst. Can someone suggest which one i should get/what they have? Thanks!
  19. Hi all, I remember seeing a really good list which had the names of the bulbs you need for the R33 gtst including interior. I can find the names of a lot of the headlights, dash, boot, etc. But can't find the sizes for the interior lights, dome/map reading bulb etc. Does any know what size the interior bulbs are? Thanks!
  20. To anyone reading this, i have done some more research online and found that a lot of people have videos with a similar sound under 'misfire' and most are caused by spark plug related issues. Seeing as this started happening soon after i changed mine i think that might be the problem. Can any recommend spark plugs for a lightly modified r33 gtst. I think i may be running the wrong ones. Thanks!
  21. Thanks for the reply! What sort of rubber do you mean? If i had to explain it better i would say the duration of the sound is similar to a BOV it is short and sudden and then disappears. I have been told that one of my engine mounts was worn, but from memory this sound started soon after installing new spark plugs, could either of those two things be responsible?
  22. Had the same issue on my rb25. Changed coil packs and spark plugs and still idled rough. Problem went a way slightly when i cleaned the AAC valve and completely when i replaced the MAF sensor.
