I had an unfortunate experience when i was travelling along a main road: Came out of a long slip way and could see that traffic was coming so I thought may as well speed up a bit... was doing 75 or so as I came onto the main road and as I continued up traffic slowed - and then I noticed the fagman in blue holding something. It was a 2 lane road - some traffic was told to keep on going, where as I was pulled over to the side and told that i'd been doing a substancial amount over the limit. Fine was written out to me then and there... Worst part was 3 demerit points:( So there ya go.

As a completely different car owner.... a corolla on my P's... I like nothing better than to see an import rev it up and take off quick. I would love to get an import but can't afford one, and the way I see it is like this... You have a nice car people will be curious, inquizitive and wanting to race you... that's part of the game and will never change. You can either choose to be pissed off and swear out loud at people who think they can smoke you - or you can simply be satisfied with knowing that you don't need to prove anything. my2c. daz.

Dam that's a hard one. Although I've never been in that position, one thing wrong during that 12 months and you're rooted.... 12 months is a long long time, and no matter if it's on purpose or accident that you go over the limit or something.... you're rooted. Opinion: Take the 3 months.

melbmaniac, sounds like a good plan... i mean ya gotta start somewhere right. Im 19 and i am looking for a 33GTS-T - but i don't want to be over power:weight in melb here... so i think i'm waiting until off P's. Anyway. I started driving in auto and it's boring man its like steering not driving. as stated before, i'm sure you can find someone - anyone - who will be willing to teach you the basics. My dad taught me manual, didn't need lessons... but each to their own and everyone learns differently. hell i'll come down and teach ya some basics. hehe. im in caulfield btw. :kewl:
