  1. Hey guys, same problem as most the little tube is cracked so its not gripping the cable. I'm trying to glue it now but not sure if its gonna work.... Anyone know how much a new one is? Is the VL one the same? thanks laddys.

  3. That's bad, I'm getting 400+ in a turbo!. Sounds like your 02 sensor is stuffed so its running rich.
  4. Yeah when my plugs were new they were fine at 1.1mm but as they get older and blacker they need to be set at the proper 0.8mm.... Its worth the time to do it. I'll try and remember next time

  6. ha ha, I can't do anything its pissing down here. I have to fix my speedo first anyway, it took a holiday this morning.... weird. I was thinking about getting the underneath of the car sprayed with a sealant like 4wd owners do to prevent the spread.
  7. Hey guys, I've noticed a rattle for a while behind my dash when its cold.... It was doing it really badly today on the freeway then all of a sudden the rattle stopped and the speedo needle dropped to 0. Um, any ideas? Obviously its come loose behind it but is there anything I need to look for or whatever when I take it apart? I've never looked behind the guages before.... thanks people!
  8. That's ridiculous. 15 minutes is too long 5 minutes is too long If they're windows or car was smashed they'd narrow it down to the knob who's car is always running with no-one in it.
  9. Having had 2 SR20DET powered Silvias I can tell you the RB is more then a match is pretty much all aspects, they all had the usual filter, boost, exhaust, nothing serious. The RB sounds much nicer and you don't feel like your killing it at 6000rpm like the SR. The RB25 is obviously gonna make more power as its a bigger motor but the car weighs more so its not really a comparison anyway. If you wanna compare, then compare the RB20 and the sr20 I would choose the RB20 over the SR personally.... Most people put RB25/26s in R32s rather then do up the RB20 when it comes to drags.

  11. Where are you getting a replacement seal from? Nissan? My rear seal is stuffed so I wanna change it....... The only rust i've found on mine so far is Underneath the car on the floor plan directly behind the front wheel about half a foot back. Its where the grey sealant stuff has come away. Doesn't look major, maybe sand it back and bog....
  12. The top one is not an M spec and it looks shit. The silver one for sure! Ks are quite high on both cars, so same dog different leg...
  13. On the same note. When I jack up my r32, whereever I jack it, it crumples slightly! I do it on the factory jacking spots and it creases. It scares me, never had any problems with the S13 like this, used chassis rails and everything for that... any ideas? ITs not rust related from the look of it.

  17. Hey guys, Mine like some others it torn in the corner from years of exposure. Apparently Nissan want something like $300 for the seal. Do spectrum rubber in NSW make a replacement or has someone found another solution apart from Nissan? cheers!

  19. there is no REAL R32. They're two different cars for two different purposes. One is a factory supercar, the other a turbo grand tourer. Same as saying, don't get a rex, get a REAL Wrx a STI.
  20. Bingo, WRXs are fast, they are also 4 times the price of mine and can't hang it out. 2 deciding factorts for me.
  21. Sounds like the shop are talking shit about the oil pressure. THe R32 guages are notoriously bad. How did they "test" it to see if its was working properly? Mine works one day then sits on zero the next......6 months later....
  22. they're also missing 2 cylinders and half a litre of capacity. They're apples and oranges really, better to compare the rex to a S13. Whoever said rexes have short gears is on the take! They're pretty bloody high geared actually. The reason it won't pull from 60KPh in 4th is because it'll be around 1500RPM. My mates WRX turns 2400RPM at 100 in 5th as opposed to my R32 which is almost at 3K at the same speed. I also know for a fact the RB20DET will not out accellerate a WRX at 60 in 4th as I've tried it. If ever a car needs revs its the RB20.....
  23. I've had mine to 8K and it still doesn't cut, not risking taking it any further! Stock ECU..... does go past 180 though......well past.....
  24. On the same subject has anyone seen or used the AEM setup advertised in HPI occasionly? It has a plug for the ignitor to connect to and then it used leads like an ordinary setup. It claims superior performance to OEM coilpacks. Anyone know the cost or had any experience with it? I imagine from the sounds of it the Bosch is a similar setup?
