  1. why not find one from an R32 GTSt? designed for the car, should be perfect. Make sure its done professionally or get used to a life of rust.....
  2. Having owned a JZX90 Mark2 I can't recommend them enough. 14 flat stock. I used to get about 14L/100 out of mine, not grand.....
  3. hmmm bizzare. All I know is it works for me so I'm stoked Maybe Nissan will hold the answers? Did you replace it with a bigger battery? Maybe the batterys are undersized in them? Who knows, did'nt hurt though cause my battery needed replacing badly. WOuldn't hold charge for more then a day.
  4. I'll update as I go but it started perfectly this morning Someone else a while ago suggested it as well as a new battery fixed his..... Maybe the stock battery terminals are stuffed? I changed mine to huge gold plated ones. Either way, its worked for me so far so if its goes back to its old ways i'll be back ,
  5. Cubes, I think this only really applies to stock ECU cars as I think that's where the problem lies..... Given the battery I replaced was literally half the size and half the CCA i think its definately an improvement.... the stereo is louder too
  6. Yeah Model Number is Bosch B57MF 440CCA Its on special at supercheap this week for $95
  7. HA HA Die from a car battery, heard it all..... I accidently earthed the spanner before when I was tightening the +ve terminal up, lotsa sparks, no shock . If you're dumb enough not to let a shower of sparks stop u from doing the wrong thoing you probably need a burn to wake you up I shit myself, dropped my spanner into the bottomless engine bay and hit my head!
  8. * DUE TO CONFLICTING OPINIONS, THIS MAY OR MAY NOT WORK. IT HAS FOR SOME, HASN'T FOR OTHERS* This came up a while ago and I have had the same problem since I imported the car 6 months ago. Basically when cold the car won't idle up on its own, you need to stab the throttle then its fine. When its warm its not a problem. I went through the whole lot, cleaned throttle body, AAC, air regulator, Plugs, packs the works. Today I bought a new battery as my old one was shagged, the new one is a Bosch Silver series, pretty bloody big, just fits on the battery tray and had to make up new terminals and such. Cost $99 on special so not a cheap one. Result? Car fired up straight away and idled up perfectly! No throttle needed and it turned over in half the time it normally takes. I have'nt driven it for a week either so this was certainly the test. It seems the ECU needs max volts to operate the cold start properly. The previous battery in there was about half the size of the new one, its a brute! Definately worth the 100 bucks as I think many cars, especially with most of us running fairly serious stereo gear can benefit from the biggest battery we can fit in the space available. Good luck!
  9. Almost 2 months are mine are still fine Siliconed packs and .8mm gapped plugs.
  10. ahhh no, the sound of a V8 rocks, there's still 98% of the car I hate. The R32 still sounds good, just not GREAT! that's 99% of the car I love. Plus spending $65 a week on fuel is already too much. That shelby in Gone in 60 seconds sounds mint..... Ohhhhh *cracks a fat*
  11. Do the test: Disconnect and reconnect each pack individually while its misfiring. The misfire shoud get worse on each cylinder until you find one that doesn't make a difference, that's the dud one. The ignitor CAN fail but the pack is more common, especially for R32s.
  12. This comes up so often. Its pretty much guaranteed that MOST r32 oil pressure senders are up shit creek. Mine works intermittently, sometimes sitting on 0 for half an hour, other times going up past 4. Its basically a case of the light, if it comes on kill the motor! That is the most important part. The proof lies in the fact that after 7 months on the road my car has read zero sometimes and its still going strong.
  13. Yeah same. The pack works when the motor is cold, as soon as it heats up it goes on the blink.
  14. A big V8 owns the sound of ANY japanese turbo car, no contest.
  15. This is a load of wank. ANYONE regardless of whether its a dealer or a private seller will tell you ANYTHING that is gonna result in the sale of their car.... Doesn't matter if its cleetus from the trailer park or some hot shot young lawyer. You just gotta know what you're looking for and get it checked by an independant party.
  16. think you'll find no-one has answered this as there are literally posts every day about it. I run Shell Helix Ultra, need about 4.5L, gearbox and diff, do a search....
  17. you're case is extreme though, that's almost what they quote for corollas and such... I've never bettered 11/12L per 100 in either of my S13s nor the R32. The chaser drank about 14.5l
  18. I dumped a bonus size bottle in mine when it had a quarter of a tank when I first imprted it 300ml or something It says on the pack, over concentration will not cause damage. I'll trust them on that
  19. My steering lock jams every now and then, make sure its not just this. Turn the wheel as far right or left as you can get it while turning the key. sorry to hear about your car, Scum ****heads.........
  20. sorry to hear dude, mine is free from rust everywhere but in these spots.... I don't think it will get much worse with our usually dry climate. If I see it spreading however I will get it looked at. Wonder how much it would cost to get rust out the floorpan, a left leg I think.....
  21. I couldn't get a price of Nissan for the seal but I need the get the window sorted before then or it will just destroy the new seal......
  22. I can't get under it to get pics but if you look at the car side on. Where the side skirt is at the front look underneath there and you'll see it. It will be about 5 inches in. If its not there you're lucky. Seems all the road muck and salt hits here first, hence the rust...
