  1. Is this a fact or just a guess? Don't forget they're also the oldest.... I'm not game enough to test mine, 11PSI will do.... lol
  2. WHAT? you're not serious? $900 for a drivers window?
  3. Mine don't arc or jump Silicon is your friend...... as is gaffa tape, cable ties etc
  4. Hey guys, anyone got a newish stocky battery they don't want? let me know, the Bosch in mine is phuct..... Something cheap please! cheers!
  5. Guys, I went against the trend here and used Roof/Tile/Gutter silicon. Its rated to 150 degrees C and I covered the entire pack in a thick coat leaving ony the plug clear. I also gapped my plugs to 0.8mm since they were at 1.1mm. Seems fine so far but early days yet.... Update in a few weeks. PS: Be careful when you put the coil pack bracket back in (the metal strip that hold 3 packs) it goes in a certain way. It even says UP and Front or rear on it. I missed it and almost cracked my coil packs whoops..... just a heads up!
  6. I gapped my BCPR6ES-11s down to 0.8mm. No wonder it was backfiring They were still at 1.1mm. Backfire fixed. ALso coated my coilpacks in roof sealant. Works as good as Araldite, temp safe to 150 degrees C and is only 7 bucks. Car is running mint (touch wood )
  7. Mine is still running fine, it was holding perfect boost at 13PSI for 2 weeks, maybe varying half a pound.... Are you sure its installed right? Too bad the car wasn't up to that boost and decided to backfire like a whore.... Back to 11PSI
  8. Seriously guys, you need to own/drive both cars to make a fair comparison. I can tell you stock for stock,a GC8 WRX (Old shape) will kill a GTS-T. At high speeds the WRX shape becomes wind resistant big time so a GTS-t will probably win from 140+. Up to there though there is no chance. Power means nothing, WRXs have good bottom end and punchy little turbos. 0-100 the GTS doesn't have a chance..... Accept it and move on. This is providing the driver knows how to handle the car. Give a rex 3K feed in the clutch quickly and it cuts. Get it wrong and its over.
  9. Heaps if its from Nissan. THey quoted me $850 for a S13 drivers window....
  10. Nah, throttle body, AAC and AR have all been cleaned, didn't make SFA difference. Gonna try the plugs tomorrow, I think they're 1.1mm in there woops
  11. Probably cracked/stuffed coil or six. This is the single most common problem with these cars I think. I have a similar problem at the moment.... Try gapping the plugs to 0.8mm instead of 1.1mm. SUpposed to cure it as long as the coils aRE okay.
  12. Selling my Blitz Super Sound BOV, with adapter and pipe to suit stock intercooler RB20DET. R32/cefiro (I think) its off my R32... In very good nick, works perfectly. Pics: http://ajbell.customer.netspace.net.au/blitz.jpg Price is negotiable at $180. cheers!
  13. sweet thanks mate. What about the gap? Can you get plugs in certain gaps ie: I need a 0.8mm. If not how are plugs gapped down?
  14. Anyone had any problems with the window seal ripping from the window closing in too far? I tried adjusting mine but it closes in too soon and spikes the seal in the middle. Its retarded and now the costly seal is stuffed! need help, not gonna buy another seal till I can stop it ripping it...
  15. In my experience, a stock MANUAL rex will chop a R33. An auto rex will be a dog....
  16. Sorry to sound like a dope but does the "6" in the code refer to the heat range? Can you get BCPR5ES if that is the case? A 5 heat range was suggested to cure a bad start when cold....
  17. hmmm I was gonna change my plugs cause I think they're the wrong ones and are causing this mis fire.... thanks NEd,
  18. Woop de doo, Problem is back, just like before. Barely lasted a week. I think mine may be air flow metre related. It seems to happen every time the it rains here in Perth which at the moment is a lot. I think the HKS filter lets through too much moisture. I'll clean the afm and get back to you.....
  19. Again same here, R32 though. Been like it since I got it 6 months ago.....
  20. Hey guys, anyone have the part number for this? Its a window regualor adjustment/alignment bolt from my R32. The end is stripped. Pretty sure S13/S14/S15 are the same. If not has anyone got a set unmolested? cheers!
  21. the turbotech ones are good for 20PSI+ i think. Look em up! I doubt you'll find anything cheaper then $35. Lots of people can vouch for them too...
  22. I'd love to know predator if you can. Only my drivers side one it stuffed. Anyone know what the part number for the little threaded nuts are that allow adjustment for the regulator in and out? Its the same as 200SX and one of mine is stripped. I'm gonna get 4 new ones and take it to Novus to get aligned properly cause i'm at my wits end. No matter how I adjust it it closes too far in and the seal is torn now cheers lads!
  23. reagardless, the car runs fine now and the packs are nice and shiny. How ever its done doesn't really matter. I tried with all sorts of cleaners last time, they did sfa. I think after 15 years it was beyond it. The dremel took 5 seconds on each coil to bring them up like new so I still stand by the method if you have access to one. whatever works for you
  24. Dude, make sure you see the compression/leak down results yourself. My Silvia was using lots of oil, blowing bucketloads of smoke and it was the turbo seal that shat itself. There was NO oil around the exhaust housing as there is simply too much heat and it gets burnt off. Every turbo car i've seen including mine has some degree of oil in the pipes, its just a normal thing. make sure you aren't getting the wool pulled over your eyes!
  25. Go the turbotech ones Mark is selling in the Forced Induction Performance thread. I bought one for $35 and it works mint. Hold 12PSI perfectly, no spiking and no boost loss. Don't be a weenie, u don't need 2 settings, you just need to be able to drive better then strich9 Yeah EBCs are sweet but a whole lot more then this controller....
