I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
Coupe-This replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
how the hell do u know where to adjust it to get the right amount of boost? do u turn it, take the car for a quick spin, then readjust etc till u get it right? -
you could try getting a 12mm bolt, drilling and tapping a 100mm thread in the centre of it, locktight the stud into the gearknob and then easily screw it onto the gearstick. Just makesure you get all the pitch's right as they may decide to make it an odd size. I'd go this way as its still piss easy to get on and off. Also if when its tight doesnt sit where u want it. Get some teflon tape (white tape used for plumbing) wrap it on the gearstick, and go around and around to desired tension and position

Hey, i was just reading a magazine and there was something in there about brake upgrades including rotors and calipers to just bolt on, no need to change your master cylinder and everything, and they are adr approved. The only problem, i went onto the website and found there extensive rage to go through, holden, ford, and glorified holen (HSV) I emailed them asking if they were ever going to extend there range to actual sports cars, heheh (not in those exact words). Go check them out, and send them emails, im sure if they get enough interest in skylines, they might think about it. www.pbrperformance.com.au

u might also need longer studs? so the nuts have some meat to bite and grip onto, because ur taking about 20mm off the length essentually. would be easier to sell off the wheels and get new ones. Where did you get the wheels from? ... take them back? etc, so many things u cld do *sigh* -
its good if u got some throwaway tyres, yeah i know its on a main road, thats the only downer to it, and of course the chunky surface !!!! you have to be bloody careful if u start to rip ur tyres up anywhere these days, cops hang around factory areas like vultures, down off greens road is a new business estate, SOUTH PARK. I know, they killed kenny but there is a good straight, and some circle work areas I just went out driving around, saw absolutely nothing, did see a 300zx prelude and commonwhore speeding along princess and turn up tooronga road ... All staring at me. Maybe a should get a mask

or the simpliest thing todo would be sell the gts-t and buy a gtr ... 4wd times
-
stock suspension setup? u may want to change and alter this as the car puts out about 140ish rwkw stock, and now its pushing 230rwkw ... suspension isnt made to put that amount of power to the ground, also, what tyres u have on the ass end? most people whack decent 255's on. So more money to spend

Hey guys, im after a hks wiring harness for a type 1 turbo timer to suit a 95 series 1.5 r33 gts-t
-
Unfortunatly, this group buy is now closed due to the fact that the company doesnt make and supply the grilles anymore ... Sorry to all involved and sorry to all interested. Best regards.
-
Why would i need a turbo timer for a v8? why do people need to be smart asses for, its a skyline forum, so obviously its for a skyline, if you want more specifics, just say so. its for an ... 1995 ecr33 gts-t series 1.5 white, manual, white instrument cluster, boost guage, and a hks type 1 turbo timer im wanting to install and i dont think the monaro has an ecu either, something about being a carby i think
-
Hey guys, i need to hook up my turbo timer, and i just need to find all these wires to hook it up properly. Clean it all up and make it look nice and neat and hide the wires, and make it look rather factory looking under the dash Need to clean up my boost guage wires while im there, but for the moment i just need to find those 3 wires to tap into Hoping to install it this weekend !!

to change the color of your car, and do it properly will cost you in excess of 6k engine needs to come out, just depends on how keen you are. i have a white r33 and if i was ever gonna get a respray i would just get a nice pearl into the white to make it look better and stand out more. But then again thats just me, go black, then you can see how bad the panels mite be and you can wash it and it can be dirty straight away

bump. anyone?

Actual trye size on r33 gtst skylines
Coupe-This replied to Coupe-This's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
thats really strange, cause im sure the tyre size plates on the car specify 225/50/16, will have to check again, speedo just seems to be out a little too much just from plain wear from the tyres ... wanting to know so when i organise my new rims what rolling diameter to get -
whoops, sorry guys, its a r33 gtst. I was thinking about waiting until i get the exhaust finished, intercooler, pod and cold air, which will all be done at the same time. Well just hoping, have to sell my old car first !!!!!!!!!! Oh and the pod will be completely boxed off in a new air box
