  1. Hey guys, i was just wondeirng what tyres did a ecr33 come out with from factory. i have 225 50 16's on mine, and i think its the actual size, i have never found actual evidence pointing at this. the rims are the standard r33 16x6.5" rims. I think there should be a specifications page on here somewhere for all the skylines from r30 - 31 up to the new skyline ... just an idea tho
  2. i think you should check what the lowest point of the car is before you go buying super lows, who cares if you get them cheap, go out on the weekend and get dicked over because they are too low. i think its 100mm or 110mm you can have at the lowest point. Most cars out there are illegal when you look at them, just make sure urs isnt, just to be safe or not to be picked on, (AS MUCH) you do after all drive an import good luck
  3. Hey, i am just wondering if this is at all possible? because upon working on my other far older holden, i was removing my stereo, all was well... took out the amp from the engine bay and accidently shorted out on the shifter, scared the shit out of me, and now a week later i tried to start it ... nothing, no ignition nothing. Checked the battery with a test light. Its dead. no power at all... its a drycell battery and is about a year old, barely old enough for it to pack in. any help would be appreciated regards James
  4. when i first got my r33 it only came with a spare key, so i called up nissan, unfortunatly they can only give you blanks, but u can grab the blank as they are rather large, remove the lock, can seeing it being to difficult, just remove the door trim and have a look, see how its attached and remove. I have removed a vl barrel, inclu boot, also another even older holden... Good luck with it
  5. I have heard that simmons wheels can actually widen rims, i dont know if the person was talking about alloy or steel rims tho, i remember he told me about 500 per wheel, ahem, not a cheap exercise. Try to give simmons a call and find out off them, or better yet, call an auto engineer, and find out there, and find out how legal it isnt, as putting certain size rims on your car is illegal, yet everyone does it
  6. Hello there, i was just wondering if R-SPL kit is actually an R-SPL HG (polished end tanks & polished pipes) kit. If it isnt how much is it for one of those intercoolers from you if they are availible. Also where abouts are you actually located? As soon as i sell my other car i will be interested in getting a R-SPL HG intercooler quickly Regards James
  7. bump, come on guys, just one more !!!
  8. One more people, just one more at least to go
  9. Yes its still going, need 2 other ppl interested now. come on people
  10. No i dont beleive these are availible in carbon fibre sorry.
  11. hey guys, the tyres on my r33 are starting to get a bit down, so i was thinking, before i can afford the nice set of rims that i want, i mite get some cleaner rims for my r33. i have the stock r33 rims on, and they are looking rather old, as the clear coat of paint is rather drap. I dont want to polish these up. I was wondering what cheap alternatives there is to just whack on some new rims with tyres? can i put s15 rims right on with out a problem? or are there any other suggestions?
  12. r33 rims and s14 rims look the same, is the offset different?
  13. just when i was just about to close this due to lack of interest :s they are just black, so once u get them, just get them painted the colour of your desire and place it on
  14. I'm buying one for myself, avoiding the fibreglass copies so im sure they are of good quality. Contacted the provider about these also. People interested ... 1) Coupe-This (confirmed) 2) _Ven (interested) 3)gR33dy (confirmed) 4)nickr33 (confirmed) 5)
  15. Pretty sure the rear shockers are fine, no excess bouncing or what ever you call it. ie, they settle quickly without excess bouncing.
  16. last night while cruising around in my r33 gts-t i noticed that when i took off with a bit of acceleration, as to not let the person (ahem) next to me get in front ... the rear end shuddered hardkore and felt like the tyres were actually bouncing off the road. I havent experienced this before myself. Could it be time to get some pinapples installed? Would this prevent the problem? Where can i pick them up from? And would anyone here have any good recomendations for an installer in vic? Close to melbourne somewhere as i live in malvern. But anywhere to get it done properly is fine by me.
  17. I can also get these grilles for about the $150 mark, but they are poorly moulded fibreglass copies, of a copy it so seems. I dont know about other people here, but i want to get good quality parts onto my car, as they say. Do it once, Do it right
  18. How much for the two door windows? can you do 20% or only 35%?
  19. I have a group sale for east bear plastic (GTR style) grilles. These grilles are plastic and not fibreglass. They are almost identical to the gtr grille. Obviously they don't have the mounting spot for the badge. They are availible for series 1 and 2 gts-t r33 skylines. These grilles are usually $330 and the series 2 grilles a little bit more. Heres the deal 5 - 10 people $300 + postage 10 + people $280 + postage Postage will be $12.50 Australia wide Series 2 grilles are usually a little more expensive but if we get enough interest they will be offered at the same price. I will put a seperate price for the series 2 grilles just in case as soon as i know myself. The grilles will be sent within 7 - 10 days after payment is received as its not a part they keep large amount of stock in. The seller is an sau trader (Kudos Motorsports)
  20. Hey guys, i have to take off my boost guage, so i have to disconnect the vaccuum line and replace the peice with another peice or else there will be a rather large hole in place. The area where i have to replace the vaccuum hose is between the plenum and regulator towards the front drivers side. Is there a trick to putting this hose on? as i think its a really really tight fit. Any help would be appreciated.
  21. hey guys, im in the market for an intercooler, and looking at buying an intecooler kit off the nengun website. Just wondering what the major differences are between these in quality and flow? i dont mind spending a little bit more for a better cooler
  22. Hey guys, ill be in the market for some work wheels soon in the near future and was just wondering if there are any places that actually stock them in australia, or more preferably victoria as i would like to have a closer look and actually try them on my car.
  23. Are you guys still talking about a second hand box??? Why bother putting in a box that has had the k's wound up on it already, and god knows how that was treated. Why dont you just get a box and rebuild it properly with all new bearing cogs, the lot. Of course strengthened parts. Might cost more, but hey, for that peace of mind ... and mx7's arent that bad, i had a vlt gave them thing so much shit, was on the way out when i got it, and was still going 18 mths later. with plenty of flat changes. haha
  24. How much power are you making, and what sort of rpm did u decide to dump the clutch at? Are you wanting a straight bolt up gearbox, im guessing you have an rb20 in a vl? what about the mx7? rb30et gearbox. You could always get anything, just depending how much money you want to spend. You could go all out and get a tremec tko 6 spd haha
  25. Where are you guages going? Why dont you just find the light switch wires under the dash or near the steering wheel (i did this) Its not hard to do at all, just get a test light, turn on and off your lights and parkers until you find a wire that gets power when they are on, and loses it when they are off. Quite easy to split the wire and solder into it. But if your guages are going into the bottom din spot into a shelf then the cigerete lighter mite be a little bit easier
