Coupe-This replied to ATTN's topic in General Automotive Discussion
been done to death this thing, do a search and u will find out more useful information, it depends if u want a quick sports car, or if u want a grand tourer with a fair bit of poke, room and comfort. Peace out -

what engine is in ur n13? u can buy a turbo upgrade motor, as one of my friends thought about this, getting a u12 or u13 engine, and whacking it in, about 1800 for engine, ecu turbo, everything minus the intercooler. If its a sr20 powered n13, do some mods to it, and being a lighter car should whip those n/a's a good view of ur ass ...

Quickest Way To Get A R 32 Gtr
Coupe-This replied to Bo05t3d's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
rite on vuster, i dont smoke or drink, my sister does, and i have said to her in the past, you spend ur money on ciggies and booze, and i spend it on my car. There is little difference, although the car can cost a bit more, hehehehe. But in my opinion, on a first car, some people dont like it. But buy a shit box, my first car was a camira, yes a shit box, but im glad in a way i had it as a first car. It was a manual, and it kept up with a few 6's. But my second car was a vl calais turbo manual, and i know if that was my first car i would of hurt myself. You dont realise how shit you are at driving for the first year unless some one else is in the car and can actually tell you that you have improved. You are learning everyday, never think your indistructable, always pay attention, and follow the road laws. But in my opinion, if you want a gtr, buy a car that will last you 3 years with minimal trouble, and then buy a gtr. They are more expensive purchase, and they cost more to maintain and run. The only car i didnt mod was my camira, hehe, modded my vl, and my munro was already modified and now im modifying my r33. Peace out ! -
Anyone Got Info On Gas Research?
Coupe-This replied to FuRkZ's topic in General Automotive Discussion
its not really rare to acheive the same power on gas than petrol, all depends on how it is set up. if your going to get a v8 and put it on gas, well first things first. Make it a straight gas car. Get a proper twin carby setup, or if its injected u will most likely need not 8 but 16 injectors (cause delivery isnt the fastest) The main reason you dont get as much power on gas as petrol is because of the delivery of it. Thats why in the old carby cars, when its set up, they have twin carbs, you look at a forklift, it doesnt have a standard carb, its got a gas dedicated one. But i've talked to people about it before, and you will most likely need two gas injectors in place of one petrol one. Dont know how true it is. But give gas research a call. There are a few fast turbo's out there running gas research, a vl, an xf falc or something ... running into or close to the 10seconds. -
What the hell is ICQ, i didnt think anyone in there right mind used that program anymore. ahaha, i personally think the number i had was lower than both of yours. heh, then again, i dont use icq anymore, as its a load of junk, and i just stick with msn. Godamn, all these crazy chat programs, i remember when i was young, icq was open, yahoo messenger was open, irc was open, and there was another one, meh, all shit ... Anyways, this is off topic completely Can we have a few different color schemes? The calaisturbo.com forums have a few different color schemes u can pick from. something like this would be cool
-
I've seen a v8 chainsaw chopping thru a massive log in the matter of a second, do that, show the greenies and see how impressed they are. Then maybe sell it to a logging company, eheh

Why would you floor it past cops, thats asking for trouble in any car, its as if saying im a wanker, please pull me over. Just drive normally, withing the limits, as you should be doing. anyways, does your exhaust have a flange for just the muffler? jump under the car and have a look, if it does, unbolt it. take it off, and start the carup, see what sort of noise it makes then go from there. My r33 is a bit loud, not heaps tho, i have a 3" cat back, and from the resonator it goes into 4" pipe inthe the muffler out into a 6" tip, godamn !!!! lol. Its how i bought the car, and sounds nice, i know a dump and hiflow cat will change the sound very little. But try unbolting ur muffler

well, you can get a stally kit from 2500 to what ever you want pretty much, maybe try something like 3200 for your car. a get a shift kit installed, tell the ppl how tite u want the gear changes, and they should do it foryou. Depends on what you want tho, how much are we speaking for the manual conversion? ring up, get some prices on a stall converter and shift kit installed, and then work it out if u want to make it a manual or not. Both transmissions have their advantages, just what are you looking at getting out of your car.

There is also a place in keysborough 'New Fujimi Australia' ph. 97981099

oi i was gonna say the blitz sbc id3 or u can also go the hks evc iv seriously, go look at the information for all of the mentioned boost controllers, then see which one suits u, and u like the look of, depending on price also, u can also get the ricey sbc color. meh.
-
omg, those welds are undercut something shocking, and they are supposed to be how good ? not picking on you, just the welds. hehee, the ones that hold the flanges look neat ... but damn
-
in my humble opinion, supercharging is for cars with enough torque to wind the pulley around with little loss of power, something like a v8 or large 6 cylinder. Thats just my humble opinion, u do know u can still get lag on a supercharger setup, depends what sort of s/c you put on ... blah blah blah. Oh and boost is measured differently i think, like 7psi on a turbo is different boost than 7psi on a s/c
-
def the fuel pump on its way out, try a general service and tune (i.e spark plugs leads blah blah, if it still does it, well then i dunno wot sort of condition your car is in, but get some contact cleaner, and go clean all the plugs out, by spraying the pins, plug and unplug them a few times to clean it all up. try this, i had todo this with heaps of stuff on my old vlt. Just to make sure every terminal is connecting properly. Can only cancel things out, and hopefully its a cheaper one Also, the car chug off boost at all?
-
sounds like some of it could be a fuelling problem, the load buzz u hear, do u hear it for bout 5 seconds and then it stops? get it on the dyno and see what its doing, also get a service and tune done on it.

I've lost my license in the past, not too long ago, and no insurance company bar just cars will really touch me, why i dont know. But full comp considering that its was 2500, and when i said i want my gf as a nominated driver, which she is 19, they said they have to go on the youngest person, and it was like 1900 in her name. but then i told them about the lost license thing Depends on your area, driving record, and age. Surprisingly, area has a bit todo with price. Ring up and get a quote for a vl calais turbo (which i owned when i was 19), they wanted 3500, now that was steeeeeep. Wonder if they have come down *shrugs*

Changing Turbo, What Needs To Be Done
Coupe-This replied to Kaido_RR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Truely sounds like more trouble than its actually worth. Not to mention, not everyone has access to tools like that, so best bet to be safe and just buy new ones, meh, they cant be that expensive really. And with the bolts, maybe give nissan a call, although they can be pretty useless at times, you will definitaly need hightensile bolts, and they will be of a fine thread. If you cant find the bolts, in the end, rip one out on a weekday during the day, go down to a bolt shop and say, i want x amount of these, gimme, and well if they dont have them they will order them in. Go whack the bolt back in. and let everyone else know wot size they are -
Hey, one of my friends has a sr20 powered sss n15 pulsar hatch, and atm he is thinking of putting a u13 into it literaly making it a sr20det. Now with the weight of his car he should probally blow my r33 gtst away i need some mods quickly !!!!! hahaa do u guys come or here this often

Gt2530! Where Can I Buy Them From??
Coupe-This replied to DriftSquad's topic in General Automotive Discussion
that, or go check out www.nengun.com and have a search through there. IF you want to pay more than they are worth, you can also goto www.hks.com.au and buy them directly off the australia hks distributers, they are a bit of a rip off tho, got quoted $1300 for an hks ebc 4 which i can obtion for roughly $700. -
Why do you need to spend $400 on led tail lights when the standard tail lites look good and do the job fine. If you want led lights, then sell your skyline and go buy a euro car that already has them fitted and they actually suit the car. Just my opinion tho, if you like them, go for it

Defects And Infringment Fines
Coupe-This replied to fLhayabusa's topic in General Automotive Discussion
to my understanding, isnt modding a car at all indeed illegal, to modify or change the car from factory specifications, even a catback exhaust, if even well below the db can be defected. I think it all depends on the cop. And pretty much unless your car is stock, if a cop pulls you over todo a yellow sticker check, you will most likely get one. Doesnt matter on what, if they want to, they will slap one on. There are many stupid rules, windscreen pitted (ey shit happens, day to day driving), no mudflaps (wtf :s) and just stupid things. All you can really do is bend over for them. Just dont be smart, and you may get off, and if you do get a yellow sticker, find out what exactly is wrong with the car, and fix it. I know when modifying my r33, ill be making sure its within legal requirements. Things like one intake mod, well theres my fmic. But then again, things change from state to state. Stupid, dont know why. -
What state are you in? In vic fully programable ecu's are a big issue, epa does not like them, so think twice, or make a few enquiries before you buy one thinking you mite get out of it. They go on the reason that you can tune it to blow smoke, run shit, and almost have no emissions, although i dont know why anyone would do that, thats pretty much their excuse. So make a few calls to some engineers, and maybe call up the epa in your state and ask a few questions.
