  1. Yeh, i'm sure i'll work it out... i think it's only a few bolts onto the water pump pulley, so shouldnt be too hard.... bully, I'll be doing it this sunday arvo methinks.. i'll give ya a holler if i need some brute-force turbo-gasket-style help
  2. just being at a rave constitutes prolonged hugs already ahh.. feel the togetherness.... of a hot sweaty rave-party!
  3. *sniff* :wipes tear" *sniff* oh, the humanity!

    Rust!!!!

That does it! I'm moving house! Living close to the beach some days I wipe the salt off my car! grrr! that can't be good for rust!
  7. Hmmm. That was going to be my next question cam, thanks for the heads up. I'd figure it'd be something like that. All that extra stress on those parts can't be good. Alright, I dont wanna spend loadsa cash on this project.... where can I get a new clutch pack for the fan on the cheap ?
  8. Strich9: Poison Racing THAT is art!
  9. Aight, My coooling fan clutch is officially shagged. It had a good life. Now the fan is really noisy all thru the rev range (sounds like an old VB commo now! ugh!) The fan no longer spins freely with the engine off... hmmm... ahwell. Anyone know where I can get a new clutch pack for these things in perth ? How much am I looking at ? Or can I repack the bearings and not spend much cash on this stoopid thing? What about a thermo-electric fan, how much are these suckers goin for ? DIY install ? -Kym
  10. ron, Nope. this is rev's V8 volvo wagon, ask him more about it. it's quite the sleeper... right rev?
  11. it's hard getting finance for an import dude. it really is. here's a hint.... if a loan company wants "20% deposit" ie "Security" go get a personal loan for a few thousand to cover the deposit... ie. then they only have to finance $18k on a $20k car... you dig ?
  12. ummm. "engine need repair" ???? it's probably fried ?
  13. awesome, looks pretty good too! a bit big tho at 48kb!! you only need a 7kb image for a wallpaper with a 7250!
  14. Car's are only to get us from point a -> b eh? Get a grip. Everyone buys a skyline/hsv/FPV to do it in STYLE. It's just that commonwhore's are exactly that, COMMON whores. And thus, have NO style! The XR6t however is quite a nice car, and mark my words, If i had the opportunity to buy a purple XR6t i would *sigh*
  15. no no, a 33R is the go.... seems VERY strange that they wrote it off hey... VERY strange! maybe ask them how much to buy the wreck ? you get your 37k back, and buy the wreck for maybe 10-15.. instant profit!! then sell it and buy a 34R with extra cash from your old lady!
  16. Ben, was that WRX white ? with goodies like FMIC, stickers down the doors and a GT wing ? if so, he now works at rocko bob jane
  17. MC day eh? Count me in... but the wet weather makes it a bit hard doesnt it ?
  18. smaller boobies = fit in mouth.... all the rest is wasted
  19. Well at last, a decent thread of conversation. Good point, as rev210 is the ambassador for "throwing lotsa cash into a skyline DOESN'T mean it'll be fast" (in all cases) I'm a prime example of spent too much already, and still haven't got a decent(quick) time. That said, the only performance mods I have on my car is, 3" Exhaust, POD, CAI, EBC, SAFC-II, and clutch. The rest is aesthetic. I'm not happy about pulling a 14.5, but what can ya do? My next mods are Dump Pipe, Wrap exhaust and Cam Gear... here's hoping for a mid-low 13.... Back on topic: If that fails, I'll be seriously looking at Diff Cradle kits for traction, rear suspension setups and more-so tyre combinations. Anyone seen that HPI video where they used different tyres and decreased 1/4mi times by nearly a second ?
  20. I get 550-560kms freeway driving at 100km/h off boost. The last 40kms the fuel light is on (hehehe) Hammering it constantly (ie, a cruise) I'll get 450kms (last 40kms with light on also) And mine throws flames out the exhaust when downshifting and accelerating being a leadfoot. Go figure.

    Rice...?

Now _I_ take offence to that! (back me up here guys, I'm NOT a shit driver) My last official 1/4mi. slip is for 14.5 sec (general rule of thumb is 14.2 STOCK), things like stock clutch, 10psi spiking boost, aftermarket (read: heavier) rims, different suspension DO make a difference. So to compensate for this i've further modded the car to hopefully crack a 13.... well then, does me modding the car to get just under a stock timeslip mean I'm crap? Sod off.:shake:
  22. lol @ niz.... "ellymae" LOL
  23. There's some nice little gains from an AFC! I'm hoping for around 260ish HP at 12psi from my AFC2.. p.s. I got 208 at 7psi with retarded timing and lotsa misfiring....
  24. Yes, i also want to know the same thing! Does it fit the stock pump mount ? Thanks for your help guys (has to be one of the most constructive threads in the last few weeks eh?)
  25. ahh.. i see now young padawan! nice score joe!
