  1. I've had experience in all kinds of car clubs for the last 5+ years, and seen many of them go down the toilet (and I don't mean just shut down) due to silly things like this. A lot of people feel left out when an even like this happens, and when people get told they can't front up for a group shot just cos they're not a member..... *sigh* I digress. There's nothing wrong with including EVERYONE that makes the club what it is today, and so what if Rick (the almighty god-kisses-my-shoes photographer) says he won't do a group shot? It's all about promoting a healthy/community based club, denying people an opportunity to partake in events like this doesn't help. As the committee you all should have raised a thread seeking the general member consensus, before setting a date, and going ahead straight away. The committee, whether they like it or not should represent EVERY SAU forum user in WA, not just the 20+ who have a membership card. I guess that's the difference with a club like RICE, compared to SAU.... There. I've said my 2c.
  2. fane, with all the burnouts you do, you should just weld yours up!
  3. Many of us have
  4. Better than an elite'st Skyline driver anyday.....
  5. Rick is a good bloke, and I'm sure he'll accomodate. We had 40+ Modified Hyundai's turn up for a Hot4's club shoot a few years back and Rick took care of it all As part of the committee, you should be one lobbying for a group photoshoot
  6. no biggie ... Just didn't understand the logic
  7. :wtf: Just because people sell intercoolers, boost controllers, doesn't mean they don't see any use in them!?!?
  8. Wrong way to go about a photoshoot if you ask me! I say get EVERYONE along to the motorplex for a giant group shot as well as the smaller feature articles that go along with it. You can be picky with which of the cars get more features. There should only be limited spots for the individual car shots, etc. Not the entire event. Make the event open to everyone to wash thier cars, bring them along, no matter how stock, how N/A, how dead clutched etc. I'm sure a panoramic group shot of 50+ skylines in the pit lanes taken from the dragstip overpass would be a big win. Just my 2c. Knowing all the long-time SDU/SAU'ers would probably think the same.....
  9. I'll copy it off someone after they fork out the fold
  10. I don't see how it can help camber either :| What I'm saying is.... you don't have to drive your car hard to notice and appreciate the difference a strut brace makes!
  11. ric777, I disagree, It makes a tremendous difference to the way the car feels on the road! I can feel the extra rigidness just coming up my driveway! Cornering has vastly improved, and the car stays flat a lot better now! (of course, Nismo suspension helps!) Roundabouts are no probs at 50+ kms now, overall, it's worth every cent IMO...
  12. Shaddup Dan You had a Magna!
  13. all this talk of "wet factor" and "legs opener" appeal is so true. Altho, I got my car while I was with my gf (yes, still) without too much effort I could use her "wet factor" to polish my bonnet It's the Image.... It's the Style... It's the class... It's the Skyrine... and after 13.9seconds of "wet factor" it's all over for me.... That said, I've already decided what my next car will be, and it won't be a Skyline!
  14. They're clearly worth more than 60-coin Fanny!
  15. Thank god for phone's that can back up 150+ numbers to your PC w/ Infrared. and thank god for pin codes/phone locks. Don't forget to register it's lost with the phone company properly, and get them to block the IMEI number, so the thieving bastards at least can't use it anymore!
  16. OMG. When I hear about this kinda crap, it sickens me. Take it to the courts, get a lawyer, and not only get the money out of them, but sue for damages! P.S. Did they even call you when they saw it like that, or did you just notice the damage when you went to pick up your car?
  17. One question: Slotted AND cross-drilled are prone to cracking? WTF ? How the hell can all the rally cars/supercars use cross-drilled if they are prone to cracking? If the stock rotors were drilled then I'd probably agree, but aftermarket (and specifically designed) drilled rotors should be better, and cracking shouldn't be an issue... Anyone shed some light on the subject? Plus the fact that slotted/drilled look WAY more horn!
  18. Yeah, another thumbs up for these type dials, over the full-faced ones! And I think you'll find that our style ones are easier to read than the others!
  19. Yeah, Dam nerds. I never read _any_ book on VB, now I design commercial-grade apps... go figure. There's no substitute for experience
  20. hahaha. Riaz and fire have a bad history eh! As for the "You only need 3rd party" line. I know I'll sure as hell stay WELL far away from you on a cruise then! Don't go bangin' around yo busted-ass vehicle with no insurance! It's not cricket! I'll repeat what many have said on this forum. Can't Afford the insurance, Can't afford the car!
  21. Chris, Was recently killed... just last week so sad when you gotta pick up RB26 pieces from the road!
