  1. yep the STI brembo is better than the factory R33 and R34 GTR caliper (i think you'll find that the R33 and R34 are the same except for the colour). They're both leading calipers so at least that's ok. As far as I can tell, you'll want to: 1. measure the mounting point to centre of caliper distance of the two different brembos (i.e the distance from mount holes to rotor centre to see if you need to offset the caliper 2. consider the stock rotor sizes (the skyline is 330mm or something around that)... what is the STI rotor diameter? I'm pretty sure that hte STI rotor is smaller than the GTR rotor... 3. I reckon because the STI rotor is approx the same or smaller than the GTR rotor, it will be a pain to adapt a bracket... if the rotor was bigger you could space the caliper out further from the hub with a dog bone bracket and get some 2 piece rotors to fit 4 Unless... the STI caliper can swallow a bigger disc without too much pad knock off then you might be able to do a dog bone bracket to mount the STI caliper.... sorry for the random thoughts, hope that made some sense and added something to your deliberation :|
  2. Hi Guys I need some help.... I need to borrow an R32GTR front suspension assembly, inclusive of knuckle, upright, brake rotor, brake caliper - basically what's shown in the pic attached. Need it for a few weeks, to dummy up a brake setup. Case of beer for anyone who can help out Anyone with multiple GTRs or wrecking one? hello RowdyR32?... Cheers for some reason the pic isn't working
  3. it was strange they were all going 60 on the freeway

  5. so does The Mistu 380... and the Falcon... and the Commodore... and... and... shall I stop now? Well 'ultimate driving machine' does not necessarily insinuate 'fast'. It means as an overall package, it is excellent to drive - going around corners, day to day etc. Anyone can build a straight line car that is fast... 6.0L anyone? As i recall the original mini cooper wasn't 'FAST' in a straight line, but still kicked a number of 'pedigree' marques, and is still a hoot to drive. Have you driven a BMW? I have an E46 330i and, for it's designed purpose a comfortable 4 door, relatively rapid car, it delivers in SPADES. I wouldn't trade the 330 for the crashy cheap interior of a 350z. Horses for courses. Take your 350z and smash me - I simply don't care while cruising along in (soft) leather, comfort and quietness. Lastly, the focus should be on the package, and what the brand wants to deliver. Picking shit out of just hte engine is a moot point. That is all.

  15. I have a set of AP CP5555 calipers and 355x34mm rotors. I need to get the hats and brackets made up to fit an R32GTR. 1. does anyone know who can do this (race brakes want $600 for the brackets, $750 for the hats!) for umm... less? 2. is the 300zx mounting / offset the same as R32GTR, if so I may be able to use a 300zx set of hats and brackets from the USA Cheers

  20. if you run no wing the quarter panels will be exposed. by memory you can see where the panel wraps up and over, and see the spot welds etc ie. you won't see a neat flat painted edge... guess you could bog and spray the bat wing bits but that's alot of effort IMHO
