  1. I think rs73 recently changed from auto to manual....
  2. Gester, I had Dunlop FM901's on my last car and found them really predictable and stable when sliding in the dry. They weren't that great in the wet though, but still remained predictable. For the performance, the cost was quite reasonable. However they are quite soft; almost an intermediate compound so will wear quite quickly. Oh, and they were MOTOR's top tyre last year.
  3. Da Man, mechanical or electronic boost gauge? It is electric if it just says 'turbo' on the face, but if it says 'trust super tuning systems...' on the face it is mechanical. Let me know.
  4. Da_Man, is the trust boost gauge a mechanical or electronic gauge? If it's electronic i'll take it for 160.
  5. Steve, tops for getting back so fast, and thanks so much for taking such an active input into our cars. I can't wait to get my discs! -marcus
  6. Hey steve, just read the entire post and am a fair bit confused by the whole thing. I have a '95 R33 GTS-T, i want your slotted rotors front and rear with the 'skippy paw' ventillation. I've searched your website and found part numbers: FT: 926 RR: 908. Questions: 1. are they both the kangaroo paw system now? 2. how can i tell if my car was 32mm min thickness 30 OR 30mm min 28? 3. all the R33 GTS-Ts have 296mm diameter front discs, right? Thanks for your time.
  7. Benm, i just ordered a dump from JMS (japanese motorsport) in Adelaide and am waiting for it to arrive. They have stainless dump and front pipes for a reasonable price. I'll post some pics when it arrives and can let you know what the quality is like.

    DBA rotors

Are any of you guys using DBA's slotted rotors? Are you happy with them? If so, where did you get them from and how much did they cost you each? I've been quoted $250 ea for the front rotors. Cheers.
  9. So Doc, if the dyno day has been shifted to the 22nd, can i put my name down for that? I should have my dump pipe in by then.
  10. Stickers... ugh. Why would you ruin your paint anyway? If you must have stickers put them on the glass... I do want to change my series II wing to the low boot wing (like the one below that massive T wing in the pic above) though... makes R33s look f-a-t.
  11. can do. i'm going to get mine done in the next week or so though. Should be OK.
  12. Guys, spoke to HPC today and will give us a 10% discount if we have 4-5 jobs. The thread link is here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...=&threadid=9426 post there if interested.
  13. Hey guys, if anyone is interested in getting a bunch of stuff HPC coated they will give us a 10% discount if there are at least 4-5 jobs. Post your interest here.
  14. I'm with steve. If we can organize a group 'coating' maybe it will be cheaper. I will call them tomorrow and see if they will do a group discount, and if so start a new thread and will try and organise it with HPC. Not sure how we can logistically do it - send all parts to me and then to HPC? or send them individually? If i organise it probably keep it to the Vic boys and girls, just it is easier than doing everywhere. I will keep you posted, check here and if i start a new thread i'll link it to here.
  15. I've just ordered a stainless dump pipe, and have a Trust mild steel front pipe. I called HPC (www.hpcoatings.com.au) last week and the guy quoted me $66 per foot for piping. I figured that because hot gas travels quicker, and the next main restriction is the cat, that this would be enough of the exhaust system to do. PS they need 5 days to do the coating.
  16. Tailgaters are just jealous because you own a Skyline and not a white . Or they spent twice as much money on a slower car that doesn't get the looks, and is half as fast. Or they just can't drive. I try not to speed, generally, as points are an issue and Skylines attract enough attention as it is. Just remember, if you are carrying a baseball bat / machete / fake gun, who is to say the other guy isn't carrying a real gun? Just be careful fellas.
  17. I'm with Ken, its cool for about 5mins, but if you actually drive it around for more than about a day it gets pretty annoying.
  18. Soundproof = extra weight. Just get a exhaust with a decent centre silencer, and it will not be too loud but still give you the flow you want.
