  1. thats what i thought... they're just SOOO fat - they're on my mate's Soarer at the moment
  2. Thought i'd start a new thread on this one - I have a chance to get a set of Veilside rims but they are massive; 5 x 114.3 18 x 10 +24 offset. Does anyone have an idea if i've got any chance of fitting them under an R33 GTS-T? I am willing to roll the guards, they are too good to let go. Here it is below
  3. I potentially have my grubby mits on a set of Veilside 18x10 rims, offset +25. Can anyone tell me if i can squeeze them under an R33 GTS-t?
  4. so they can't be separated?
  5. I have one very simple question: if there were 20-30 cars on this cruise, can anyone on this forum put their hand up and say "YES I WENT TO THE CRUISE"? Surely ONE person can say 'yes i did'... maybe?!?
  6. Umm, as the subject states, i'm after the power window Auto switch on the drivers side. R33 (not sure if the R32 is the same, but hey, if it is then sweet.) Cheers
  7. i'm 24, just cars, rating 5 - $2500. i've got unlicensed driving, so they're the only ones who will insure me. Get your own rating now, dude, it will be worth it in the long run.
  8. Name: Marcus Age: 24 (19 mental age) Location: Camberwell Car: '95 GTS-t MSN: [email protected] email: [email protected] image... that one is me, with the headphones on...
  9. Go Motul. I changed to 300V at the last change and it feels really good. 2000K and it is still like new, oil is still clear. If you take the old oil down to the local servo (with mechanic of course, no point taking it to shell select!) and give them 5 bucks i'm sure they can get rid of it for you

    RS Turbo

hmm, we are not sure if it can be complied in Aus, due to the model being available here. I will talk to him tonight, and pass on your number. Do you have any details of the car: *year *kays *grade *colour etc etc? thanks troy, -marcus

    RS Turbo

how much would it cost landed and complied in Aus? I have a mate who would be VERY interested.
  12. nah i think he just needs the dB test, not complete EPA anal intrusion.
  13. There are many schools of thought on the warm up issue. Some people like to warm their engine up till the temp gauge rises, and then drive off, ensuing their engine is protected. HOWEVER, you also must remember that the diff and gearbox oil are NOT at optimum operating temp from cold, and even though your engine is warm, doing burnouts etc with cold gearbox / diff is a recipe for a large bang - trust me, i've blown up a number of diffs in my time, a couple backing out and squirting it too hard (not a skyline though). So, while i think it is important to warm up a bit before driving off (say 2 mins), you should really take it easy for the first 5-10 mins of driving time (under 3000rpm) to make sure diff and gearbox are happy too. my 2c
  14. En_One, i have a GTS-t full stock system, i don't know if the cat back seciton will bolt on... i have a feeling it MAY, as i don't think nissan would reshape the sheet metal under the car between the two models. Just check with a performance shop (give gerald a call at Ice Performance 0414359888) and see. If it fits you're welcome to borrow it. Also Daalder in Box Hill tests them and they're reasonable fellas. Talk to matt.
  15. adz, i'm running just a repco filter; thats what heaps of R33 GTRs run. I've gone with Motul 3000 this oil change, but it is about 70 bucks... if you're changing every 5000k it probably isn't worth it; just go with a quality synth
  16. what are the respective tyre sizes and makes?

    How Loud!

hey relax inasnt, didn't mean you weren't qualified i think you should set up a side pipe, just behind the passenger door. I'm pretty sure it is legal, as long as it exits behind the rear most doors. Thus, you can scare pedestrians with sound and flames. Just cut a hole in the side skirt - CSV had their version of the monaro with side pipes.
  18. talk to me, dj, i have dealt with them many times - i work down the road from them and they always give me trade price. PM me if you are interested.

aybee, didn't mean to jump down your throat, but i think this guy is a little confused. I know inasnt is an engineer, and i'm a qualified mechanical engineer, but i don't think many cars would benefit greatly from the increased flow to 5"
  20. inasnt, nice one. so when is the new turbo coming?

    How Loud!

yeah... for 300rwkw you need at least a 6.5" exhaust. i mean honestly... how many V8 supercars have 5" pipes?
  22. it is just a bit of a worry given that we don't really know the real number of kays - a mechanic mate of mine looked at it and suspects the timing belt is slack and needs doing... better to be safe than sorry. Meggala, can you suggest any shops that are good, and how much would you expect it would cost to change?
  23. for the part? or can they actually change the belt too? I didn't think they were any good with working on imports
  24. As the title states, i have a noisy cambelt and even though the odo reads 57K, i think i should get it done ASAP for fear of a big bang. So... Where and how much? Cheers in advance.
  25. umm terrance, i think there would be plenty of dissappointed people on this forum if you were to drink drive. Frankly it is irresponsible and put not only yourself at risk (though if you are that stupid then...) but more importantly others at risk. If you have a skyline don't tarnish our reputation any more.
