  1. I am guessing no. I had a set of 18x10 veilside rims available, but they are too wide at the front. Check meggala's site for reference - i think it is www.meggala.com
  2. The old air cooled 911s (up to the 993 model) had their intercoolers mounted above the engine under the 'whale tail' rear wing. The wing was designed to both aid downforce and duct cool air into the intercooler. Not sure where the 996 model turbo intercoolers are, but i think they are on either side in the flanks, with the ducts behind the doors feeding air to them. Either that or down low as HSVKLR said.
  3. Any1 got pics of a nude R33 back end? I am thinking of doing it because it should look heaps fatter without the wing.
  4. I'm thinking of selling my silver S2 wing, and was wondering what ppl think it will be worth? Didn't want to post in 'for sale' yet
  5. thats like the HKS exhaust adjustable butterfly. Excellent work. Rossco_Grey33 i have a stock R33 exhaust. If you want to borrow it just PM me or post here
  6. Thats pretty good. I have full exhaust, and am looking at FMIC / EBC / Power FC together at around december. Let you know how i get on.
  7. Aybee, do you have a pic of the tread pattern? Upload here or [email protected]
  8. Grepin, where'd you get this one from? All the ones i've seen have no brake light. I know this isn't the right section, but cheers for the help.
  9. Matt, i am quite interested, but won't have funds for about 2 months. I'll PM you then and if you still have them i'd be happy to take them. Good luck anyway.
  10. aybee, interested. How much you after? oh, and they're S01's, i have them on my car. As i know there are no S07's.
  11. Kamikaze, don't know if this is the most cost effective way to response and acceleration. It would seem to me that the best way is to exhaust your easily found mods and power gains on/in the motor, then when you have done all you can with that then start playing with reducing pulley loads, etc etc. I have made this comment in the assumption that you haven't done and aweful lot to your car.
  12. Endless are mega $$$! JimX, lets be honest - for the money, the performance of the RBs are up there with some of the best. Yeah the sqeal (i have slotted rotors and RB74s) but not nearly as bad as my old car, a E30 BMW 323i. It had piddly little rotors and single pot calipers but it never faded at the track (don't put RB74s in the back, they are REALLY noisy there). Once they are hot, they tend to keep relatively quiet. They require quite a technique to keep quiet - either feather the brakes or full-on. But believe me, you will be able to live with them - they DO NOT squeal all the time. Another downside you might want to consider is the better the performance of the pad, (generally) they will eat rotors. RB74s eat rotors. It is not really an issue to me as they will go for 50K kays before they need replacing. You may want to factor that in if you are doing alot of track work. In terms of performance, i did about 8 100-0k/hr stops on the freeway when bedding them in, and there was literally zero fade; just on the last 2 a little puff of smoke. After all that ranting, hey, don't trust me, just try them. They are easy to change yourself, and for about 100 bucks, you can always junk them if you don't like them (or send em to me coz i need some new ones!). Oh and one last thing, make sure you use some decent brake fluid; i've got Motul dot 5.1 (methinks, but will check in the morning for ya) -ronin
  13. Great to hear it, JimX. My high beam still points prettu high, but thats ok because it doesn't dazzle anyone. Lemme know how you go with the globes; i recommended Bosch Silver Evolution globes in another thread - thats what i have. They give off an almost perfectly white light, with a very very slight tinge of purple at certain angles. The only reason why i would like to hear what you use (and how they look) is because these globes were about $150 from sonic racing before they closed down... although i got them from Hong Kong for like a third of the price. I want to change my high beams, so keep us posted
  14. BANG! Flames! scared padestrians. All part of the skyline experience
  15. JimX, my right h/light was screwed - the light pattern was all over the place. I actually changed the globe and it was much better. They also seem to be really sensitive to getting the globe in properly. For 5 bucks a new globe is worth a shot rather than new light? Hope that helps.

    Bodykits

you recommend your importer after losing a wheel?!? ok then.
  17. top secret gold flake. the business
  18. Dremen, i've had a couple of oil changes, and it has steadily gotten better. Apparently the sensors are quite sensitive to crap oil. I've used Mobil 1 5-40W, and just last change went to Motul 3000 15-50W. Just use a quality oil, you should be right
  19. 180 - 200 rwkw? mine only has the full exhaust and cold air intake and it makes 174. Twins look good on a skyline, it is a bit different to the generic 4" tip like mine.
  20. i've got a separate waste dump, 3" front pipe, 4" cat back. Definetly more top end. Sydneykid, how much louder is a screamer dump, and what does it sound like?
  21. I'm now 99% sure they don't fit. But the tyre placard in my door says i can fit up to 18x9.5 - i assume they used the same placard for R33 GTS, GTS-T and GTRs for simplicity.
  22. Thanks 51jay, so i guess thats a 'no' to the 18x10s. the dream is dead
