  1. Off to the shop to check out some nice head work by Rashid(lots left)before we machine the surface and send all the head parts for wpc treatment.
  2. One last drive with the boy and my patient wife in the old gtaaaaaaaah to the shop for the engine build to start.
  3. thanks again mates. without you guys there's no way i would of tackled this. 1.1 restrictor nitto on route. wanna keep my manual transmission was thinking of doing a 1-5 rebuild just dont know which company to go with yet. i know my gearbox wont last... i have 2 r33 transmissions that i can play with both in great shape.
  4. beauty mate, thanks for getting me on track today i was a f**king mess doing circles with my build...
  5. hey ben, yeah i blacked out. full supertech valve train double spring 182-C Camshaft Set - Nissan RB26DETT - Kelford Cams i dont think i need to grind the casting for these cams but forsure reshim obviously. i was thinking about what you said no point in going for a mild cam mise well stay stock cam at that point, or go the whole nine yards. so i said fak it and just did it man. the cams i got are the ones i posted 272/272 10mm lift. i did this all not so much as to make my head rev all crazy and make crazy power, but more as a refreshment and a increase in seat pressure for my boost. the kit was a great price and seemed like a no brainer. 1400canadain. hks camshafts in bin. just kidding will try to sell them. i am just a stupid canadian but i feel like my engine will be a good setup in the end for a descent budget. cheers mate thanks again glad you pushed me to kelford great service too they were nice to me.
  6. 182-C Camshaft Set - Nissan RB26DETT - Kelford Cams these are the camshafts i got if anyone else is using these please let me know if i need to grind the casting down on the head for these cams or just a shim job for valve clearance? im sure ill find out when they show up but any advice in advance would be helpful. im exhausted from research lol
  7. Supertech Complete Valvetrain Kit Fits Nissan Skyline RB26DETT RB26 GTR R33 R34 | eBay i bought this kit today. i didn't like the idea of using different companies for different parts so sad fak it this is it...best kit i could find with everything i wanted. ive had enough of forum research and clicking away at this computer for 7 days straight with no sleep. ben (BK) has been a great help through this and i ended up getting some kelford cams as well. mechanic requested. cheers mates this build will be nuts im wpc treating the whole thing and will be able to give some real good data on it once we run it. and thanks for your help mate. this has been a huge learning curve im finding out how much of a newb i really am ha. trying tho, working hard, putting in th eresearch, paying for parts, talking to lots of mates, pumping tree jobs out, living low. cheers chap thanks again your a good mate.
  8. nismo bearings. im still trying to figure out which coating is on the bearings cause they may not accept the the wpc properly. the new king bearings have a coating on them that are pretty good but im staying, my engine was line bored and crank machined a bit so will have to go one size over Nismo bearing on the rods and mains. but yeah wpc the whole rest of the engine pretty much. will post pics and lots of success or not success videos. the process was much cheaper than i thought. its simple less friction more power more smiles.

  10. yup n1 pump will be in the bin i screwed that up.....gunna go with a nitto pump and a 1.3 head restrictor. thanks for help cheers mate. i ordered a complete dual valve spring supertech kit with hks 264 9.1(8.7) camshafts last night....will the double valve springs be to much for my setup and screw anything else up? i will be shimming the camshafts too if needed obviously. i couldn't find a kit with the single valve spring so said fak it and ordered the double. Supertech Complete Valvetrain Kit Fits Nissan Skyline RB26DETT RB26 GTR R33 R34 | eBay HKS Uprated Step 1 264° 8.7mm Lift Cams Camshafts - For R32 Skyline GTR RB26DETT | eBay
  11. yeah i researched the process pretty intense. i think its well worth it im gunna give it a shot. about 1000 bucks to do the entire rotating assembly plus shipping. seems to me that sa great way to save bearings, etc from the rb's crank walk issues. ive got a prp brace and with, the wpc i hope to pull my new engine down after 2 years and be able to confirm the results.
  12. pretty straight forward i haven't heard a bad thing about this product yet so really I'm looking for anyone that thinks wpc treating my rb26 or any engine build is a waste of time...from what i see which is only online content it is a god saver for metal and makes engines last at least 50 percent longer...looking for only the top dogs to put up some info here nothing shady/no newbs please!
  13. ya it gets the blood pumping every time mate. i work with my wife my dad and have 2 good friends for workers. its all i know. and at the end of the day a little gtr action is well for me. cheers mate keep the rb roaring.
  14. F**k Covid can’t stop the beavers! Got a 800hp rb that needs some love so the show must continue through the -30 lol
  15. Will cut for parts! I’ve owned my small little company busybeavertreeservices.ca since hischool, Sometimes you gotta black right out to pay for parts! Jobs like these are gold for getting builds done, this is my other passion than my family and my cars. The trees keep a guy well and out of trouble!
  16. post above was meant for you i bunged up the post...sorry mates
  17. i have been in the gtr scene for almost 15 years now born and raised in canada. you couldnt of said it any better im sad to say... they were sold as ditch cheap "rice rockets" and i bet 85 percent of them were completely beat on or lost through years of driving and no maintenance, crashed, and with poor storage or winter driving and salt destroyed. canadians never knew or respected the history of the cars and they were esentially used as toys with little respect. supra's were always expensive and the r32 or 33 was a great alternative and everyone fell in love with them regardless of there issues compared to a mk4 cause they were cheap and could keep up to anything. When the states could legally get them, the prices triples and all the good skylines went straight to the states. the only nice ones that stayed in this neck of the woods were the die hards that kept them. my black one being of them but my others needed much work to get well again. when you go to the states you see head turning r32 and r33 all over the place, thats where they all are now.
  18. hey mate i know for a fact your knowledge is heaps and above mine. im going to run 30 psi with a prp brace motor fully built, is currently being machined, maybe grout fill half. not a budget guy but I like to keep things very simple if I can. i have always ran a completely stock head and only replaced valve guides when motor is apart. i dont plan on revving it past 8 thousand ever so do you reccommend any other head work i should do other than the guides? maybe double valve springs from supertech with some mild ass cams. again i dont two step the car, i don't over rev it, occasionally drag it once in a while thats it. 8 litre sump with oil cooler head restrictor and spool gears in a n1 pump
  19. thats how i fixed mine....was a simple job. much like fixing the atessa computer when it fries from leaking boot.
  20. ya ill keep you posted on it mate. build will be done in no time im just waiting for my 6boost manifold, im going to use the motor that's in the car and push to 22psi. when my built motor is done i will try at 30 on e85. let you know my results.
  21. i may have went overkill on the exhaust side but ill try it and swap it out later if no good. i went with a 1.15 a/r...
  22. One last pull on the twins before we rip her apart and add another couple hundred horse power. this is as roughly 500+whp 22psi. pulling it to about 7800...listen to the 4" exhaust just cracking the earth! almost makes me sad to go single but i think im done with the twins. i hope my 6466 has same spool as my -5's. GOPR3375_Trim_Trim.mp4
  23. thanks mate straight to the point good help. wont poach your thread anymore. your a gtr beast thanks for your help good chap. i think its great you are doing that for your dad, thats wellness right there.
