  3. That looks quite different to my R33 manifold, but yes, thanks, that is pretty much what i have done. Will be getting my car tuned soon anyways so i'll get them to check it out for me. Cheers.
  4. Does anyone here run their EBC using positive pressure signal from the intake manifold? anyone?? surely other piping kits have this same "issue"...
  5. I have one of these i recently installed. Quick question to anyone who can help - where do you connect the positive pressure signal hose for your boost controller?? (the other hose goes to the wastegate actuator) the stock piping has a little "nipple" just after the turbo outlet that the tube joins on to. The Hybrid piping kit does not have this nipple. Almost every piping kit i have seen DOES have this nipple. Where did you guys plug in your positive pressure tube for the EBC?? At the moment i have it plugged into the tube for the fuel reg, but this sees vacuum also, which apparently is not that good for the EBC to be doing its thing. Any help muchly appreciated.
  6. Ok i'm preparing to be n00bish... I've got a genuine Hybrid FMIC kit installed. Now as most of you will know, for your EBC to work you need to have one hose plugged into the actuator, and the other hose plugged into positive pressure. In a stock piping setup this is a "nipple" on the intercooler pipe just after the turbo outlet. Now, in my Hybrid kit, the intercooler piping doesn't have that nipple to connect to. Most kits that i have seen also have said nipple Someone else out there must have one - what did you do? the only tubing comes off after the throttle body, which reads vacuum as well - apparently this sometimes screws with the boost controller if it's seeing positive and negative pressure (according to the Turbosmart website for their electronic boost controller). I can't find any positive pressure tubing before the throttle body. Do i have to get a nipple welded into the piping?? Can i source the pressure signal from the plenum/manifold safely (eg the vacuum tube to the fuel reg?) - i believe the EBC will still function when hooked up this way, but it more prone to spiking. The length of vacuum tube required is also about 4 times as much thsi way which must contribute to this somewhat. hope that made sense. thanks in advance guys and girls....
  7. I got all rice once upon a time and replaced my low beams with arctic blues. The first one lasted about 2 months, the other maybe 6. Bought another set, same story. Bought pure white globes, never looked back.
  8. From a C to a B Flat? don't know about anyone else, but i didn't notice a change. std airbox on my car though...
  9. If you've got an actual "bolt on" kit : angle grinder hole saw 76mm spanners/sockets/screwdrivers That all i used And yeah, give yourself at least 5-6 hours, maybe more.

  11. I'll throw in a free plug here, as a happy customer GENUINE Hybrid tube & fin kits. The cores are super light, aluminium piping which is also very light. Fitted one last weekend which ony took a few hours, fits up easily. At $745 i thought it was pretty reasonable, sure it was a little more than the copy kits but if you hold the genuine and china cores... well, you can pick up the genuine core with two fingers no problems http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=90632
  12. These are the 90 series gauges... any chance you might be getting the 270 series in stock?? 90 series 270 series thanks i'd turn off the flashing if i knew how, btw.... it's making my epilepsy play up! (Cross posted on NissanSilvia forums - thought others might like to know)

  15. Heh. I've got a rear strut brace so i just use an adjustable strap (eg like you would use for tying something down to roof racks) to hold my box in place. The box is black carpet so you can hardly see it
  16. Correct me if i'm wrong, but don't you have to modify the dump for these turbos to just "bolt on"? Or does the kit come with the modified dump in it? VV ahh okay, thanks that's what i thought
  17. Search!!! Since i searched this to death recently... : without cams most are getting 230-250rwkw, mostly 240-250, some are around 220-230 (and seem to have been a little disappointed) with cams up to 265 eg SK's cars I spent a lot of time trying to compare GCG hiflows Vs HKS GT-RS, but i can't find many power figures for the HKS item they seem fairly similar though...
  18. try http://www.hybrid-power.com/installation_/GTS/GTS%20kit.pdf and then the link works Excellent guide!
  19. I need to know this too. Want to keep my stock airbox if possible using a panel filter. Can it be done???
  20. ^^Thanks, good to know. I'm aiming for 250rwkw. Looking at track days and some advanced driver training with the car once it's all sorted. GCG hiflow rb25det's seem to vary from 220(base)-260(with cams)rwkw from what i've seen, whereas GT-RS cars seem to be consistently pulling around 240-250, higher with cams. I have a feeling i'd be a little disappointed with 220 if that's what i ended up with, is all. Price difference is about $600 all up, with a stock turbo to sell/play footy with. Resale value comes into it too - IMHO the HKS will come out on top when it comes time to sell the car.
