  1. A rebuild can fail as well. Less likely but it still can. Price up some rebuilds first but when I did, it was the difference of $600-$800 for another RB25 or rebuild mine for $6000-$9000.
  2. I think you'll probably be able to buy it for $100. It's worth about $500 in parts. I'm considering buying it if the timing suits.
  3. Or you could just drive your car. I dropped by on the way back from Sydney but they stopped early. I saw Robs car in the carpark.
  4. Replacement engine is the cheapest. Unless you're prepared to put a bit of money into it, there isn't much point going for a rebuild. The different between a build motor and a rebuilt one is just the cost difference in parts. Labor is going to be the same.
  5. I have one, not sure which side it is tho lol. I won't have time to look at it until after WTAC.
  6. I did get in touch with the guys organising SPIN about drifting and they were very interested to organise something for us to do. However their nominated weekend is the same weekend as World Time Attack Challenge, and we couldn't make it back down from Sydney at a reasonable time. So i guess I'll have to wait another 100 years for the next one haha.
  7. Where are you taking it?
  8. What wheels does Rob have? I have R32 GTR wheels. And some other 17's.
  9. Seeing as the weather has become warmer, we will back back at the park tonight.
  10. Is that Front Lower Control arms?
  11. Doesn't look like there is a forecast for rain. And have been meeting every week without a break since last year, thanks to covered parking and portable heaters.
  12. You will be fine with stock. If you do struggle, check cable adjustment and brake shoes. In line hydro handbrake is terrible. It should a separate system or valving should be used. Agree with this guy I do. It's not wank factor. Most people that use them rely way to much on them which can lead into bad technique. If your serious about drifting, start standard and when your skill improves, then increase the performance of the car. A standard R32 handbrake is fine, if it doesn't work you've got problems you need to fix. I would hope Handbrake isn't the most common entry technique.
  13. Is the fan itself okay? I have a few hubs but the fans are cracked. The hubs are different sizes so need the fan to suit.
  14. We did talk about moving back to the Park. However 9 Degrees and a chance of rain.... just saying.
  15. Call Canberra Connect/Roads ACT. They'll be able to tell you how.
  16. Yep, we are still meeting at Deakin at the moment. The weather is starting to warm up, so we will probably move back to Gravellia in a month or so.
  17. I should have radius rod mount brackets....... but I should double check. I can't remember if I threw them out.
  18. This thread is too long and I skip posts. Just let me know if you want me to have a look .
  19. I can check it out some time. I have alternators too.
  20. If you want me to have a look, send me a PM. I still haven't read the thread.
  21. I can still come and take a look. Otherwise I might buy the wreck off you
  22. Wow, $70. I'm entered in Team Drift so I'll be there the whole weekend.
  23. Send me a PM with your number. I can drop by after work one day, or on the weekend. Easier to diagnose in person.
  24. Didn't read the entire thread. Where are you located? I have S1 parts.
  25. 300,000 is a lot of k's. You could probably get between 5-8k for it, if everything is in good working order. Difficult to say without looking at it and it also depends on the buyer. They might not be that attentive and just see the 225kw car. Did a dealer give you a trade in price?
