  1. Exactly... (be prepared to be abused by the moral higher ground now champ)
  2. Ummm very dependent on how you drive it mate. The turbo can be your best friend or your worst enemy. (fuel consumption wise) You can fill the tank for about $50. Well given the price of premium fuels at the moment maybe $60-$65 On a whole, very good considering the kick in the pants power it offers when you need it. Cheaper to run than a V6 commodore and a lot more fun.
  3. Spotted a Silver R34 last night on Ginninderra drive. Very friendly mum and son team at the wheel. Got a wave from both and we exchanged compliments! Nice to see!
  4. The intelligence shown in this post doesnt really require a response... However I'm the first to admit I bite easy. The last two times you have piped up with a post you have been completely negative and completely discounted the other persons opinion/description/explanation. The bloke obviously posted up here to get the word out and grab peoples advise and opinions. I have no problems with you having your opinion and we live in a beautiful land that allows you to express it however you see fit. Just dont expect to make any friends out of it. I dont know you mate and I aint about to make an opinion of you over the internet, but perhaps when a young SAU member leans on the club a little after having lost his car maybe we could lean back a little with some positive feedback and advice??? "A cup of shut the fcuk up" and "Your a homo" are very funny but constructive??? Oh I wasnt taking a stab at you btw I was simply defending the young bloke as nobody else was. I'm sorry if you took it like that.
  5. You can only "fuse pop" in the out dated technology used in the tin cans they call R32's...
  6. Your not the bloke with the missing front bar are you? Regardless Welcome. We'll spot each other about town i'm sure.
  7. Sorry if you have said it before but what car do you drive anyway?
  8. I also have stealth tyres andrew! Well the stockies were stealth but i'm not sure about the 19's... Ewan that was completely un called for and not relevant! I honestly believe (given that I know members of the traffic squad here and in Syd) that they are taking cars in an attempt to show some muscle. The "60 Minutes" and "Daily tele" campaigns have put an image in the public eye that is a complete misrepresentation! I agree that if you get caught doing a burnout then hey you got caught... However this new system of officer Joe Blow caling in a burnout is ridiculous! 000 call " I saw a Black Skyline, Number plates *** *** doing a burnout in braddon tonight. There are marks on the ground to prove it...." I mean seriously! That could be someone who doesnt like you calling it in just to get at you! I'm sorry but if they ask for my keys based on a Officer Joe Blow report they can get stuffed!
  9. Sweet. Yeah that place has a bad rep at the moment but if he's prepared to look after us then i'm sure we will look after him! I'll PM you for that Mob No.
  10. Is there any kind of discount or "mates rates" involved with this recomendation or is it purely an advertisment? I ask because I need new 19 inch rubber and I'm looking for a good price.
  11. Hot 32! I love the parking arangements also!
  12. 4 Skylines??? Thats what this has amounted to? Maybe I should do your PR next time Oscar. I cant give you a certain answer sorry. So I will be the first prick to say "maybe"...
  13. Yeah unfortunatly operation hoon is in full effect! Anything as much as a car reving out can be reported and you can lose the car! It is discrimination like we have never seen since the days of segregation. It must of been you because your young and own a fast car...no proof needed. I know this has been happening recently to others. Proof isnt as important as it should be.
  14. If I went to Ed's I'd be worried... Jokes
  15. Spotted Terminal when I was at footy tonight. I love those crazy volvos!
  16. OR another 34... Maybe a GTR? Speaking of which! Whats the G.O Sin? RB25DET??? What the...
  17. Yeah where did that little rant come from? Whens the wedding? So the guy can drive, i'll be honoured to stand in his corner representing SAU on the kart day then!
  18. I may or may not be out. I agree totally guys. It gets to the point where you just think "i'm getting pulled over and abused by the general public for doing nothing, why not make it worth it???" I hate the thought of putting anyone in danger when I drive but to be honest my mum has had a thousand accidents in her stock as a rock commodore and I havent had one in my super dangerous HPI... An interesting point to note is that on "Australia's Worst Driver" the reality show and infact on all the "worst driver" shows from around the world, there has never been a HPI owner. The drivers are usually clueless middle age people in stocker day to day cars! I think you cause more of a problem if you sit in the left lane of the highway doing 20 kmph under the speed limit than if your in the right lane doing 20kmph over! I'm sure we all have a rant to rant on this topic but I think my 2 cents is in.
  19. I love this argument... I think we are all blessed to drive any skyline (r32 onwards...lol) But yeah the common misconception is that whales are slow... I'm quite happy to demonstrate the flaws in that theory!
  20. Spotted that gold 33 again this morning! Not as flash as I first thought (I couldnt see properly and thought it was the wildest thing ever) BUT it is very nice.
  21. Yes AutoSalon Sydney is on the weekend of the 14th so dont think about changing it to then!
  22. Yeah I wouldve been very tempted to keep fighting it. Oh well we'll all be counting down the days. You can always come cruising with me in the next month or so!
  23. Queanbeyan - 2 Weston - 2 Tuggas - 4 Belco - 2 Gungahlin - 3 North Side (Dickson etc) - Kingston/manuka - 1 Woden -
  24. Damn... That sucks. Sucks big time!
  25. Yep if your boost gauge hoses arent holding pressure 100% then you will suffer problems similar to those you have mentioned. And most aftermarket boost gauges run the same hosing as the standard gauge. Do you have a turbo timer? And is it playing up also? I had the same thing happen to me and a dodgy boost controller hose was the prob. However you may have another problem but i'd fix that one up first.
