I presume the different RB engines under our avatars are our new Ratings based on number of posts??? Well I'm not keen on my RB25DE so i'll be spamming it up until there a T on the end at least!
Front throttle on "custom" read: cut and welded plenum makes your motor go boom boom! A Greddy (or other rep brands) front throttle plenum is actually designed to distribute the air in an even fashion. You wont get this out of your chop shop version.
I almost did this a while back but luckily did the research first!
Plus there is very little lost in one bend of the intercooler piping!
Agreed on the above... sorta.
It all depends on what you want I guess.
I would go for the PFC if you can afford it, however a short term fix like the SAFC would do fine. Remember though this wont fix your speed limiter problemo
$1000 for a ancient genuine part could well be right. I'm sure there are a 1000 RB30 oil pumps in canberra. Try all the Jap wreckers first before going a newbie.
As the FMIC is the newest thing in the engine bay I'd be looking at ALL the mounting brackets and anything close to the cooler that could have been obstructed and been knocked loose. The piping is another obvious check point. It will more than likely be something small and stupid but I'd also check the engine mounts and the exhaust manifold. Problems i've seen in my day before.
shit well spotted. It certainly looks like one. Not that theres anything wrong with that!
But again well spotted! I missed that after looking for said neon twice
Yeah you beat me too it andy. I was just about to point that out.
That 31 isnt my thing though! I would prefer a cleaner looking 31 with a huge front mount and drift dish wheels.
I need two (2) 235/35 R19's. I do remember someone saying they were mates with the manager of Bob Jane Belco but I cant remember who (sorry!)
Aside from that is anyone looking to ofload any decent second handies or does anyone know of some good prices for newbies?
Yeah? I might drop in and have a look at your ride. The boys will look after you though. I'm sure you will be more than happy with the work and the price.
