  1. Thanks - will check an Exa out - gonna find one i can pop the stock gauges out of and fit oil temp and boost ones If it dont fit then ill prob do like SK and use the ashtray... u got pics of your gauge set-up in the ashtray SK ??
  2. Get my stereo stuff installed in a few days!... wasnt gonna spend too much originally - but got a price too good to turn down... so if anyone else has been thinking about DVD and roofmount screen (for kids) then I'll post the deal I got... Based on the pack in the summer Alpine catalogue... with the DVD head unit, 2 x IR headphones and 7 inch drop down TFT for $1999 reduced from $2799... Told em I only had $2000 max including fitting and needed normal tuner head unit too, so the guy rang the store owner - who just happened to be sitting down with Apline distributor looking over the new Alpine stuff hitting stores soon... including an 8" screen replacing the discontinued 7"... So he agreed to do the Pack plus a RRP $369 head unit ALL fitted for $2000! But it got better - I said I really wanted MP3 compatability in the headunit - and he said the lowest price was for the IPOD atachable unit reduced from $699 to $499... BUT then he remembered they had them further discounted that week for $299!! So the new price he agreed to all up including fitting is $2015, for: - Head unit CDA-9826 (Ipod system) - DVD player DVA-5210E - Overhead drop-down screen (not sure on part # but its the new 8" version of the TMX-R700) - 2 x IR headphones RRP of $3700 + fitting (~$350) all for $2015 fitted :aroused:
  3. Come up with another idea for gauge placement... I have also filled both dins with stereo/DVD head units, so was thinking bout alternatives... my clock doesnt work, so was thinking rather than fixing it (got a clock on the stereo of course) I might find a colour-matched dash-top moulded gauge holder to utilise the dip in the dash where the clock is... So thinking maybe finding a dash-top gauge holder like from an FTO or something and shaving the bottom of it to match the lines of the clock indent... will see how I go and post pics Anyone suggest any other cars that have stuck-on moulded gauge clusters I could try??
  4. Hey - another Stag owner in their first week! Congrats - I picked mine up Wednesday And yeah - head turner!!... prob extra stare value coz its a bright yellow series 2 ! Driving through Willetton yesterday and a group of guys were out front of their house with digicam taking photos of a new Supra and this guy with the camera just turned on his heels and started snapping shots of me as I flew by! Funny stuff... can imagine his train of thought "OK - a few shots of my nice new Supr ... WHOOA theres a new yellow STAGEA *click* *click* *click* *click* *click* *click*
  5. Hey this is a great buy fellas - tried to nab it for myself but couldnt get across the line so yeah - snap it up!! Good luck with the sale BB free bump
  6. Yeah - no figures (or mods!) for me yet... but for any1 who doesnt already have it - I've got the video clip of the 11sec pass if anyone wants it emailed (its also somewhere on here I think but cant find the link)... just PM me so we dont clog this thread with requests for it to be emailed.
  7. Thanks perfecto... nice rims - but not quite my thing - hope u get a buyer STILL AFTER RIMS - if anyone have some as per first post please PM or email me!
  8. Yup we are pretty lucky coz that tint is way darker than 'legal' - but as it isnt removable and factory standard it was approved for Stagea compliancing by DOTARS... but even with tinting here in Oz - I was told by several tint places that you are allowed the max legal dark tint on any rear side windows, but one shade lighter on rear windscreens and side front windows, and no tint on front windscreen.
  9. Need to get something better than stock rims... looking for BARGAIN rims 17 or 18 inch... max 8" wide... standard skyline GTST / GTT fitment required. Roadworthy tyres would be a bonus, but not essential. Not interested in: Chromies; meshies; too many spokes Interested in: Nice 5 or six spoke rims, in gunmetal, silver or white Budget dependent on rims - around $1200 bucks set aside - but could find the $$ if the perfect set of rims were offered (eg R34 GTR). Pref in Perth... unless you are offering a damn hard to resist price interstate that makes shipping costs worthwhile. Please PM me, or email pics and details and price [email protected] Cheers, Adam
  10. price of the Greddy FMIC ??
  11. $978 for mine But with these cargo covers - I have one - but the little clip on the rear upright that it clips into - its snapped - need a whole new little piece that goes in there.... anyone know how to source these specific type parts?? If I cant get the clip - then I might as well sell the cover I guess.... Back on topic... as said above - be careful how modded it is as it has to be returned pretty much to stock for compliance... but as you listed mags on your wish-list , as long as they are 18" or under you should be ok... and with rims anyway the yard that complies your stag will more than likely have a stock set to whack on... or you can buy mine with new tyres $700 !
  12. Got my car today - so you can add me to the list! (Perth)
  13. I can help u out with a run in my Series 2 if u want ... what suburb u in? I'm in Bayswater Adam
  14. This Stagea specific gauge kit for the glove box is available for 18,000 yen Available from: http://s108.secure.ne.jp/~s108121/ssl/stag...les/stagea.html Right down the bottom after their Stagea brakes and springs etc too!
  15. BUMP - still hoping for last minute rims
  16. Yeah SK is right... WGN doesnt just mean wagon lol... they are both Stagea model codes and the N signifies 4WD as SK said... so yes it does make a difference for suspension parts ordering etc.
  17. OK - coming down to the wire... have until Thurs to source a set of cheap rims... I am in WA, but my car is in QLD about to be loaded on the transport truck on Thursday... the yard will give me $500 for the stock rims with tyres - but in order to offload the stockies I need a replacement pair of rims for it to come over on... So pretty straight forward - I need to hear from anyone in QLD with a set of 17" rims that look better than stockies, with legal tyres on them for around $600!! Hell if its more a new set of tyres someone wants I could even swap u for the stock set (rims and tyres or even just tyres - 5 spoke 16" with BRAND NEW TYRES). Standard skyline fitment needed. So yeah PM me urgently if u have a set u r looking to offload! Cheers Adam

  19. Probably best to ring Hanson at Xspeed directly for specific inter-state quotes... say you got the price from "Adam" off this forum and just wanted to know an unfitted price with delivery.... Hanson goes out of his way - so if they do interstate Im sure he'll look after you.
  20. Hi Tigerleo Phoned Hanson at Xspeed who do all my work and he is happy for me to put up their quotes for Tein springs for Perth customers. As I said mine was cheaper coz of getting a lot of work done at same time, but his "Springs and nothing else" price for the Stagea fitment Teins are: Tein S-tech springs $450 fitted Tein High-tech Springs $650 fitted But yeah - better to call him for a specific quote on anything you are thinking about - have found them really competitive and great service. Hanson was saying he is actually looking at buying a Stagea for himself, so sure to be the next Xspeed project vehicle (which you can gaurantee will end up on a magazine cover!) so itll be good to know my Stag work would have been researched and experimented on by Hanson on his own Stag a thousand times over! Also just for anyone looking at exhausts - Xspeed also have a special on at the moment for the Stagea specific fitment HKS Hi-Power 409 WGNC34 for $718 + GST. http://xspeed.dreamhost.com/catalog/produc...roducts_id=1044 They have a shipment of these exhausts arriving in March. Hope that info helps Adam
  21. If it had an awesome bodykit and big thin-spoked bronze rims it would probably have been the same one that was on the Saturday night cruise - at 9pm in Leederville sounds bout right wouldve been on its way to the cruise start point in the underground carpark at CityWest. Awesome looking Stagea - chatted to the guy but didnt get his name. Said he bought it 2 weeks ago - think it was the one for sale in Causeway AutoWholesale.
  22. Just gonna go with stock shocks for now... in the series 2 stageas they seem a heap better - read somewhere they were upgraded for the extra output etc of the Neo6... and certainly seems that way having driven both series 1 and 2 stageas - much flatter cornering and minimal body roll in series 2. Will see how it goes and maybe get Bilsteins later on if I have suspension issues. The quote was cheap, but i think it was because it was part of an overall list of work worth a few grand - so they are probably making up their profit elsewhere - they gave me that price alongside all my exhaust work and air intake and other bits and pieces, when I told them Id been quoted $600 to fit King Springs (which I now find arent ideal for rear spring choice anyway). Ummm - I'll check with the tune shop about a stand-alone price and PM u mate
  23. Ahh thanks - didnt even see that stickied there! But I have posted what I found out there and will put it here also... rang around and rears from r33GTST should not be used - they FIT but arent rated for the weight of the wagon arse-end. Phoned Kings in QLD and they said flat out they dont even make a spring that is suitable for the rear end, and although they have MADE some specifically - they dont recommend them - said it isnt just length or spring rate but also that the actual fitment area/shape isnt right for their springs... they told me to get some specific Stagea springs from a Jap brand.... so looks like Ill get some Teins sent over. But yeah - dont reply here - we'll keep it all in the stickied suspension thread...
  24. Just rang King Springs in QLD and they actually recommended not using their springs in Stageas! They said the fronts are easy - but they dont have a spring suitable for the rears, and even manufactured ones were a bit risky in their opinion!! So looks like Im a gonna take the advice of a few of the tune shops here in Perth and get the specific Stagea Tein springs sent over from Japan... been quoted $550 fitted which aint bad I suppose.
