Well not sure if there's still many people on here from when I used to frequent this forum many moons ago. Basically the reason for the post is I'm looking to get back into a skyline (R32 GTR to be exact) have always wanted one and figured I'd better get one before they get too scarce or expensive. I've been looking for a few months already without much luck. I've come across a couple interstate that interest me but the main thing that puts me off these is getting through the ID check putting it into SA rego. Has anyone done this recently and what are the issues? I believe its easier than getting through Regency but how closely do they look at things in regards to mods etc.......?

Just seeing if anyone knows anything about the history of this GTR. Interested but struggling to get some info about it..... http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/adelaide-cbd/cars-vans-utes/r32-gtr-403-rwkw-/1072821178 Cheers in advance

Trozzle, do you consume foods with gluten/wheat?

pretty much nailed it revs and I am already doing the mentioned exercises working the shoulders, no actual bench pressing til things are sorted and I have the go ahead.
-
Leesh, planning on using a programme that focusses around the three lifts. Squats one day a week with supporting exercises. Bench one day a week with supporting exercises. Deadlift one day a week with supporting exercises. Strongman session one day a week.

Well I've been training weights for about the last three years with reasonable progressions in some areas and pretty poor progression in others... Have spent the last couple of weeks reading through Markos' thread 'Powerlifting'......much of the time in awe ha-ha. To date I've just been training at home and only had a proper squat/power rack that I built for the last 12 months or so along with one strongman session per week (yoke, farmers walks, log etc.......). My best mate is a PT and has just secured himself a warehouse where it will be focussed around 'Powerlifting', 'Weightlifting' & 'Strongman'. In return for me fabricating some of the equipment I will be able to train there for free which I believe/hope will certainly help me progress especially for those times where I perhaps haven't gone for that extra rep, set, weight etc. (we all do it even if only subconsciously) and just having other lifters around can only be a good thing...... My current stats are as follows: 30yrs of age, 175cm @ 82ish kg Current 1RM deadlift = 200kg Current 1RM squat = 150kg Current 1RM bench = 80kg (this is clearly the one that needs a lot of work) I always figured I just had a weak upper body, in comparison to my lower body anyway......but after delving a little deeper I have visited a Chiro (Does Strongman himself) and had X-Rays taken, I will try attach the X-ray's. Basically it turns out that I was born with a short leg (8mm shorter on my right than my left), apparently this is fairly common I am led to believe, so now all my right shoes have an 8mm heel. What this has caused is pretty evident in the picture attached and that combined with a poor posture has made my shoulders very weak and therefore overhead press, bench etc. hasn't progressed as it should or I would have hoped. I am currently seeing the Chiro twice a week and doing rehab everyday hoping to get things sorted as quickly as possible but these things take time. My goals I am hoping to achieve by the end of 2015 are as follows: Weight = 85kg max. 1RM deadlift = 230kg 1RM squat = 175kg 1RM bench = 100kg Total = 500kg minimum. What are peoples opinions on those goals? too ambitious? too easy? Love to hear peoples thoughts/opinions.......

just had my 2 properties valued. my live in house down south got valued about what i expected maybe slightly under but my property out north came in $30/40k under what we expected. Have to perhaps postpone building the new house now as I really don't want to sell in this market.

Thanks for that input Andrew. I think I will have to invest in seeing a financial advisor as I've just bought a block of land and once we've built i'm hoping to keep our current house as a rental. With whats left on the current house loan we should be able to cover the mortgage leaving the loan principal and interest but I think its time to as you said to get some professional advice and see what their thoughts are as I'm in this for the long term gain (30 years) not short term.
-
Very interested in this Andrew, most of the research I did prior to building my investment property suggested I make my investment property loan interest only and put any extra money into my live in house (which currently I am lucky enough to be paying double my repayments a fortnight) but from reading your comment maybe I should look at making my investment property loan principal and interst and pay extra off both???

i could probably do this for u. only issue will possibly be some slight buckling of the guard from the heat. i presume you will get it prepped and painted pretty quickly as it will rust fairly quickly otherwise.

built an investment property 18 months ago. costs me only $70/week (after tax breaks/rental income etc.) which I don't even notice, looked into shares but felt a lot safer with a house. also building is better with the tax man, depreciation etc so look into it but you can, especially now pick up some good value established houses.
