  1. So after my car being off the road for 6 months finally got her booked in to be tuned Tuesday next week. Finished a few small mods and maintenance issues and last night I did my coolant. Only real modification's worth noting for this topic are: -removed aftermarket fuel rail and FPR in place of going back to stock. -installed recalibrated 'Nismo' AFM's after having Z32's. -removed 'Apexi' pods in place of going back to stock airbox. Now I'm getting the dreaded poor idle, running rich and it won't rev over 2500RPM. So after a search this all points to AFM's and the soldering inside (my units are virtually new though (refurbished) so I would like to think this isn't the issue) The only thing I can think is that when re-wiring the standard plugs back in I've possibly mixed up one of the wires? If I recall there was two wires the same colour... I've attached the best drawing I could find googling but naturally I don't read Japanese. does anyone have a better standard wiring diagram for the standard RB26 AFM plug?! ...Or does anyone have any other thoughts on what else could possibly be wrong?!
  2. will a new group buy be happening again on these? Interested in a carbon bonnet and boot lip for R32 GTR.
  3. Pm sent re: fuel rail
  4. As the topic says.....I have x2 Z32 AFM's for sale that I installed on to my RB26DETT not realising they wouldn't marry up to my standard airbox. Perfect working order. They come with plugs to suit. $325 + postage. Will only separate if I have a buyer for both.
  5. Don't have Titanium welded by anyone who doesn't have experience with doing so... You need to setup a tig torch with a trailing gas lens in order to protect the molten pool form atmospheric contaminants, Titanium requires the molten pool to be kept as cool as physically possible when being welded... Ti to SS is another level up again and wouldn't be recommended by most, as a few of the guys have suggested I would get flanges welded and join that way.
  6. Really struggled to get on here lately to update. Just last week finished my most recent 12 week program and tested......not good results. Couldn't beat my 160kg squat or 220kg deadlift, managed an ugly 110kg bench with ass coming off the bench. Doesn't look like I'll get that magical 500kg total I was hoping for by the end of the year unfortunately. Couple of other guys who are doing the same program with me I was out squatting have now overtaken me big time just in the last 12 weeks, ones squatting 170kg and the other 175kg with all of us doing virtually the same program. This new program I started this week is far higher in reps (between 5 to 12) where as my last program was between 2 to 5 but weight is still based off the same percentages of your 1RM. Just half way through the first week of this new program and its almost already destroyed me :-/
  7. Having this same dilemma but with R32 GTR... Have emailed the contact you linked in your original post with a few queries and now just waiting for a reply...
  8. ahhhh, modified pod adaptors :-/
  9. Any more details/pics on this Scott?
  10. Cheers Skidz, wasn't very clear sorry but you answered my question anyway. I need AFM's as I'm running a 'Nistune' ECU, you obviously get round that running a stand alone. The Z32's I purchased are larger in diameter and therefore don't mate up to the standard airbox. Now purchasing either Nismo items or refurbished stock items that flow more...
  11. slightly off topic skidz but just curious what you did on your induction side in order to keep your engine bay looking stock (currently undertaking the same process) and had issue with AFM's mating to standard airbox...
  12. apologies guys, been out the car scene for about 5 years............used Nengun many times before with my old car. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Air-Flow-Meters-Nismo-recalibration-service-for-NISSAN-SKYLINE-GTR-RB26DETT-RB26-/120491260709?hash=item1c0dd6bb25:m:morBSmTCVfVlh2-EkjyNAdA Anyone used these before? Seems like good value for money...
  13. Found Nismo AFM's on 'RHDJapan' for about $730 the pair. Just haven't heard much about RHD Japan, anyone used them.....had any dramas?
  14. Chasing a pair of Nismo AFM's as I wish to keep the standard airbox. Currently have Z32's if someone's interested in a swap with cash their way.
  15. will keep that in mind nizmo_man
  16. yep, just used my search skills. $400 each on Nengun :-/ and doesn't look like there's any second hand ones going around.
  17. Ok, Nismo AFM's are looking the way to go... We sure they're the same bolt up pattern to the standard airbox and which plugs do u use?
  18. mmmm, so may have to suss nismo AFM's then..........
  19. was thinking about that earlier iruvyourskyrine.......could be an option. Though I would have thought they too would be larger in diameter in order to flow more?!
  20. hindsight Hadouken.... it did already have the nistune ECU when I bought the car but a MAFless ECU is an option I'm considering......last resort though.
  21. Basically I like the idea of popping my bonnet and it looking virtually standard to the untrained eye. I had a fairly heavily modded R32 GTS-t with an RB30 twin cam and I was able to achieve this but I'm finding the task a little more difficult with my R32 GTR. My mods aren't by any stretch crazy..............R34 GTR N1 turbos, Nistune ECU, Z32 AFM's, 650cc injectors, walbro fuel pump etc.............. Now the issue I'm having which I'm a bit annoyed at myself didn't click earlier is trying to bolt up the Z32 AFM's to the standard airbox (sourcing this was a nightmare in itself), naturally they flow more as they are larger in diameter and therefore in turn the bolt holes don't line up, its not as simple as just redrilling the holes as one of the connection points for the AFM to the standard airbox is recessed. Basically I'm hoping that people have gone down the same path as me (trying to make the engine bay look standard) and have a relatively easy fix for me (adaptor perhaps?!) Cheers in advance.
