  1. .. unless the controller is that old there is no manual available. I use a blitz twin-sbc, no manual for that old bunky. what model is it?
  2. straight pipe won't fit. go with what WRRR and GeeTR have said.
  3. As a possibility, maybe get kermit to make you up one? Thread in wa section.
  4. Have you seen an 044 mounted under there? I might be looking at doing the same and would like to know if it has actually been done before safely.
  5. probably for the retention clip.. otherwise how are you going to lock them in there?
  6. different injector shape/length. it wouldn't be wise to be offering advice unless you were sure of the information..
  7. no. in the centre bit, where the oil and water holes are, there should be an id plate. steel with punched label.
  8. plate on the catridge, look here for serial numbers for reference... http://homepage.ntlworld.com/tbroom/Turbos.htm
  9. Steering wheel angle is one of the inputs the hicas uses to calculate to response. If the power steering is fine for about the first ~5mins then goes hard, then the fuse is definately allright as the control unit obviously has power, fuses don't come good again after the car is restarted. james.
  10. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/HI...icas+diagnostic your problem looks to be more related to the steering wheel change, the boss kit should have been hicas compatable, if generic then it probably wont be and won't have the *bits* for the steering wheel angle sensor mechanism, then faults.
  11. if that was for the op, r33's have electric hicas. The res in the boot of 32's is for the 4wd system, hicas uses the normal power steering res in the engine bay. vinnie32gts4: have you tried doing a hicas diagnostic to see what faults have occurred?
  12. Mine is just like this, cut/shut. As bought. Pity the nasty bastard that did it left a real mess behind, can't see it with the lip on though... Best thing is you don't need to buy a gtr catch, but the gtr grill will foul, but with a bit of a file you can create enough recess for the bonnet catch assembly to fit.
  13. have you tried a hicas diagnostic to see what it brings up?
  14. Could you remember to post up your results from your tune as well? Almost identical parts going into mine and I'd like to compare once it is running again. thanks. James. ps were you turbos labelled 2860r or 2560r on the punched plate on the cartridge?

  16. Sydneykid, in your post above you mentioned about providing info about fitting 324mm discs and calliper adapters to a 33gtst. Having had a thorough search I didn't uncover any information about this. Did you post anything up? If not is there any chance of you being able to? Looking at the most cost effective way of increasing the braking effectiveness on my car, currently running r32 gtr brakes. Thanks. James.
  17. I couldn't remember where.. but here it is, the thread I wanted to show you in particular.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Lo...ar-t103158.html
  18. Watch out for hitting the bump stops.. can lead to cracks forming in the load areas. Mine with the kings and std (gtr) shocks would bottom out real easy.
  19. Kings lows on standard shocks is a bad idea unless you just want it for looks. Uncontrollable suspension, my wife wouldn't ride in the car it was that bad, seriously. Not good handling either. Shocks have to be matched to the springs for it all to work together correctly. Had a set of adjustable koni's installed with the kings lows and with a little bit of adjustment found a setting that I liked, by seat of pants feel. Would be better to buy a matched setup first, even if you have to save a little bit more money..
  20. http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f32229384 i like.
  21. Wrong way matey. Zed box will make it rev higher at 110. Looking at it, even dropping in 3.9:1 diff gears will be the only way to do it nicely (hopefully the speedo can be corrected with the speedo sender cog or something else) but even then its only about ~150rpm difference.. If you were looking for an increase in fuel economy i'd be looking somewhere else. As an aside, I don't really mind the 4.375:1's in my car at highway speeds. aussie zed specs.. http://www.nissan.com.au/z/specifications.asp

Still consider it good value for money compared to when it was at the dome.
  23. Parraburdise, west angeles, port headland, panawonnica, tom price. Also barely escaped going to brockman, newman, karatha / dampier. Probably not for much longer though. Electronics tech / Instro tech and also in my last year of mature age lekky apprenticeship makes me wanted by every division. After working away for so many years, I like having a quiet airconditioned lab to work in and being able to go home each night. mongolia.. had an offer to go there when I was still doing siesmic oil/gas exploration.
  24. as another option, what about a t56 on a crs custom bellhousing..
