  1. I've heard that Tein Super Street's are pretty good. Thanks mate. LOL Funny you mention the footrest. I've got it all double sided taped but haven't put it on. Additional job for this weekend
  2. What have you got in there now and what's wrong with them? LOL. I hear you. But it'll look like the one I got within 2 track days, plus no moving parts and I need it this weekend
  3. Bilsteins are out & the Racepace Teins RE's in. The first thing I noticed was how much lighter each coilover was compared to the Bilsteins. Good initial impressions on public roads. Goes to show that spring rates are only half the story. Bilsteins 7/5kg Racepace Teins : 8/4kg Have had them on the softest setting so far. They’re less harsh with better dampening than the Bilsteins. They do soak up minor bumps on the road rather well. Dips in the road, railway tracks and speed humps don’t have that big jolt that you’d expect. That said they’re still a track orientated coilover so they’re still very firm. All said i’m still impressed with the Blistens as there is quite a price difference between them and the Teins. Am half tempted to keep them in storage. Will post up some on track impressions later. Hopefully get it out to some SAU 2015 events starting with the motorkhana coming up, to get a better feel for them.
  4. More induction noise is a good enough reason by itself Actually I'm amazed when power levels are increased how much noise there is just with the standard airbox+bov setup.
  5. I confess to reading the Jap newspaper that comes in the box. Sweet, does the hard pipe kit help or is it just for looks? (My one came with it so I've just left them on)
  6. Pretty cold (so far). Cost me 205 dorra. How much was it across the road? I gave them the history of the car. They put an amusing disclaimer at the bottom of the receipt. Don't blame them really. Seeing water temps at around 100c (on the HKS gauge), (93c on the Power FC), sitting in traffic. I'm dropping it off @Racepace to get a couple of things done including taking a look at the fan clutch which might not be engaging. Also going to get a radiator fan shroud.
  7. Got these interior storage mats today. Thanks for the heads up Anfanee! Was 30c today. Finally got the aircon sorted since I got the car. Regassed with new seals/valves with Hychill. As far as i'm concerned. The car is as luxurious as a Bentley now.
  8. Cool. I thought toluene was an additive used in Jet fuel?
  9. Cool, go for the +22 's. Your car is too nice to have the wheels scrape the arch.
  10. 18x9.5 +22 is recommended for 32R's. As long as the car isn't excessively lowered. (with 265's) You can do 18x9.5 +12 but once again make sure the car isn't excessively low. (looking at that photo of your's it'd be on the limit for +12's without scraping)
  11. 36c Day in Melbourne today. Booked in to get the aircon checked out, at a place that does Hychill. Let's see if an aircon system that hasn't been used in 9 years can still work :-/
  12. Roll cage rice? It's one of the more comprehensive bolt-in cages I've seen, out of Japan. Apart from being bolted into the floor, it's also bolted into the front, upper seat belt bolts on each side. Made by a company called Carbing, probably long out of production. That sticker on the top bar proudly proclaims in Engrish something like "Carbing - Enjoy Motorsport Spirits" (or something to that effect) Still have the parts for the front section. What's the deal in VIC with having a full cage on the road?
  13. Yep that's be worse. Much worse. Came from Japan with it. It's a fibreglass bootlid with the lip built in to it. Haven't seen another one like it. Possibly some sorta custom job. I like it and will hang on to it but i'm planning on getting the standard rear boot lid/spoiler combo with nismo lip sprayed up and put on.
  14. Got the side skirts and rear pods on. Still waiting on the plastic clips that hold the centre skirt in properly. Went for a drive up to Mt. Macedon with a mate. Black is an amazing colour. Amazing at hiding every single curve and showing up dirt. Nismo Rear pods are nice and subtle. Gotta make time to get the coilovers on.
  15. Holidays is a good time to get work like this done. Was recommended this stuff by the paint shop that I bought the matched paint from. Cutting compound for idiots. Works remarkably well. Spray on wax afterwards.
  16. Yep, it's correct. Thanks mate. Speaking of Christmas. Decided to upgrade the coilovers. The Bilsteins were pretty decent but it was hard to say no to these. Racepace re-valved & setup Tein RE's. These will have better control and improved comfort. Can't say no to that.
  17. Before I forget : the part no.s for the front section of the skirt passenger : 76853-05U00 drivers : 76852-05U00 edit : got the part no.s the wrong way around
  18. Busy busy last weekend. Got the skirts in primer, starting with the rear pods. All painted ready for fitting.
  19. Been trying to get a definitive answer to this one for a while. Does anyone know if an R34 GTR steering wheel will fit an R32? Wanted to get something OEM looking, 32 steering wheels are a tad too big to my liking and my Sparco 353 with horn kit although nice, attracts too much attention and it doesn't have a padded centre.
  20. In short not much. They are however pretty cool, especially if you keep them bone stock and clean. Also, there is another post on here where someone gets a reply from Nissan regarding the differences. They state ATTESA is the same as the standard model. http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/415962-r32-gt-r-v-spec-differences-and-specs-nissan-japans-advice-to-me/
