how else would the ejector seat work???

hey, i had the idea to do the same thing only on a 25... being a fitter machinist and having access to full machine shop facilities i was able to fabricate a inlet manifold... as you can see instead of making the adapter flange one piece i made it 6 separate parts, bolted them onto each tb and then welded the pieces onto my modified inlet manifold... the main problem that i came across was matching the ports up correctly... you need to machine the manifold down enough that each hole almost lines up with its respected port on the rb26 plenum easy you say... perhaps not because the rb25 plenum collects together to line up with the standard plenum then opens up to line up with the ports on the head... derr you might say but take a closer look at the rb26 plenum and throttle body setup the ports arent equally spaced out see my intricate diagram below rb25 manifold 1 2 3 4 5 6 up the top- O O O O O O down the bottom - O O O O O O the rb26 manifold O O O O O O this spacing is needed for the mechanisms that operate the itbs to work properly i have since decided not to fit them as the standard plenum/ throttle body that is on the car at the moment will be able to handle the power that my engine/tune will be putting out looking at your sig it seems that you have all the required machinery to get the job done so i'd say go for it, what have you got to lose p.s. sorry if i told you information you already might have known but they were the problems i came across when i did my modifications

hey just thought id post my latest experiences with r34 injectors on here without starting a new thread so here goes... got a set of 660 cc (could be 630 not 100% sure... anywho) siemens injectors from unigroup engineering apparently they are for the xr6 turbos so i gether they are the same ones you guys are refering to on here... yavus told me they wouldn't be a straight fit and i needed to make up some 9mm spacers... knocked up a set on the lathe at work and wallah... everything fits, nothing fouls and unigroup engineering said that they have a good spray pattern... i havent got the car tuned yet but as far as i know everything seems to be in good order... i paid about 140 each i think with plugs its a heck of alot cheaper than paying up to 200 per injector and you have some money left over for the better things in life like drinking beer

Rb25det Neo Into My R31 Silhouette
Space Goat replied to R31_chick's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
conversion is pretty easy ive done it to my s3 wagon, umm cant think of any major obstacles i came across, you need to use the rb30 engine mounts and mounting brackets, and you'll also need to make up your own gearbox cross member mount... nothing different from an rb25 engine swap im pretty sure... the gear stick comes up in pretty much the right position and the engine sits nicely in the engine bay, nothing sits too high and there is plenty of room in front of the engine if you wish to go with twin thermos... it doesn't look out of place in any respect -
no spottage on my venture to falls creek last week but last night in my home town of the mighty panthers, Penrith. spotted the same white s2 i keep seeing with purple number plates driving out of the plaza... the lady seen me before i seen her but i still had enough time to get out the window with the big woot woot... the missus thought i was crazy but what the hey... i'd like to go on a meet some time soon... hopefully my r31 will be done in a few months and ill be able to take that out p.s. attention anyone who plays for the panthers tonight, give em hell

yar a bit of a bitch to sell... the three other stageas in the car yard where i got mine from over a year ago are still there... but being a manual it may entice somebody... its a shame about all the p plater restrictions, i remember back in the day vl turbos and tx3 turbos driven by all the p platers, skylines were still a lil out of reach for most of us but hey didn't matter what you went fast in as long as you went fast god i miss being young and stupid...

G'day my stagea has just clicked over to 85000 ks and with the snow season just around the corner i figured i should get any major service work done sooner rather than later The car is pretty much standard with hi/lo boost switch and a pod filter... its a series 2 stagea (rb25 neo) What i was thinking of doing was the following - timing belt - spark plugs - clean pod filter (k+n) - oil change - bleed brake system / new brake fluid - usual check fluid levels ect ect the brakes have been re machined and new lining on the pads about 5000 ks ago anything else i should do i usually use gulf 1 - 10w60 synthetic oil in it what spark plugs should i use?? any recommendations of which ones to use, or which ones to stay away from what timing belt should i get i have seen those gates timing belts but maybe i should stick with the genuine nissan one seeing how critical a timing belt is and the fact that my engine is standard aswell, although gates belts are usually pretty high quality belts i think i would trust a geniune nissan one... Thanks in advance Rick

yeap i got my insurance renewal in the mail today... i saved 61 dollars and they took almost 3.5k off the agreed value of the car... so i got on the phone to shannons and they wanted 2100 ... the bloke told me to go back to just cars and he will send the quote anyway out so i can use it to mop up an oil spill after servicing the car ... rang just cars had a go at them about the agreed value, they put it back up to 20500 so not too shabby only going to cost me 13 dollars more than the second quote $1537 oh im 23, male, living in western sydney (mulgoa), always garaged, only drive the car on weekends clean driving slab no claims... its pathetic... and you know what really screws us up is people who do insurance jobs on their cars and pety car theives assholes... our lives are driven by two things, oil companies and insurance companies and they got us over a barrel with the type of cars we drive

yea i bags not cleaning up after keeping the dog in your car and as this recession gets worse and more people lose their jobs its inevitable that the crime rate will go up as more and more people get desperate maybe i should carry round a club lock from now on

well at least ive deterred all yous from breaking into my car and stealing my chrome wheel nuts ... the plastic ones actually look better on the black rims guy did me a favour

i hate that shit it boils my blood when you hear things like that... the other day i noticed i had two chrome tyre valve caps missing after being parked at my girlfriends overnight... the only people that would knock off two are some little 12 year old bogan shitheads trying to make their pushies look cool... I had the shits the rest of the night after that i found out... i would love to find somebody poking around my car or in the process of flogging something i would beat the shit out of them so hard they'd be brushing their teeth through their asshole after they woke up in intensive care... throw a cheap alcohol on them so when they go to the cops they reek of booze and your laughing end rant

thanks for the advice... old mans got chains ill take them with me all will be good yer theres about 7 or 8 of us going so an apartment seems like the way to go... its looking as if we'll be saving between 500 and 900 dollars each if we stay in an apartment instead of a hotel with meals included (apartment works out 4-500 per person hotels 10-1400 per person) i wont eat 500 dollars worth of food in a week but sure as shit ill try drinking it is there national park fees to be paid??? i usually get a season pass try to get at least 14 days skiing a year plus the old man likes my car so he takes it down for maybe another 5 or 6 days on top of that works out heaps cheaper than buying a day pass every day but this year im not sure what to do since the national parks thingo is operated state by state will i need a victorian park pass aswell as a nsw pass since im going to perisher earlier in the season
-
Howdy, New South Welshman here... me and my mates are thinking of venturing south of the border this year for our annual snow trip... the last few years we have been to either perisher or thredbo, and for a change of pace thought we'd give falls creek a try... my parents went there a few years back and loved it... just wanted to see if anyone has been?? what did you think??? can you recommend a good place to stay? preferably stumbling distance from a good pub... would prefer to stay at falls rather than drive in/out each day... limits our drinking and boarding hours anything we should know before we make our way down eg. victorian laws regards carrying snow chains ect ill be taking my rs4 stag and when approached by the snow council people in jindy i have to explain that its awd and they let me go on my way... in nsw its the law to carry snow chains in marked areas for 2wd only, 4wd is not compulsory so i dont bother Cheers Rick

sorry try inserting this one i thought it looked not right http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e...ir=ja|en&u= if you use search in yahoo japan though, dont translate the search results... browse through in japanese and when you find something you like open it in a new page and translate that... i just tried the link above and it worked for me three times... search initially in english once you find what you are looking for find the japanese translation of the word (it comes up if you hover the mouse over the word for a while), cut and paste that in your search field and it will broaden your search hope this helps

ill take the blow off valves pmed -
g'day folks i am in the process of doing a number of performance mods to my rb25 det neo... i have spoken to my preferred engine tuner (uni group engineering giraween) and searched on here for what a good bov is to suit my car... the blokes at uni group told me that in order for the afm to function correctly, a plumb back blow off valve is required (no problem here i prefer not to hear the ptschhh)... upon searching on here for a decent blow off valve, i have come to the conclusion that the general consensus is that the gtr blow off valves are awesome and upgrading to an aftermarket one is considered a downgrade... also after searching i have found that gtr bov's are rare as hens teeth and when they come up for sale they are gone within days... i have my standard blow off valve off my motor (r34 RB25 neo turbo) lying around... just wondering how much boost they can handle before they start having problems??? i guess the r34 blow off valve will suffice until i get a gtr one??? thanks in advance
