  1. I just finished installing my nismo 555cc injectors, i set up the injectors settings in the PFC like this: injectors correction = 66%, latency correction = 0.18msec (when i worked this out i came up with 0.19msec but the PFC latecy correction only goes up in 2's so i had to choose either 0.18msec or 0.20msec, i tried both and they didnt seem to be much different). Started the car and it seems to run ok, i havent driven it, have only had it idling, it seems to idle "ok" but it is a bit rough, does this sound normal? is it just running a bit to rich? it dosent seem to smell overly rich. Im dropping my car off to the tuners on monday so imtrying to get everything running the best i can so he dosent have to spend to much time stuffing around with it.
  2. Just finished wiring up my z32 afm using a tomei plug, was easy as after reading this thread ,one thing i did notice was my "signal" wire on my loom was orange and blue instead of orange and black, my car is a 98 r33 so it might possibly be a little different or it could have been rewired sometime before i owned it, i tested it and yes it is was the signal wire. Also just to clear up for series 2 owners about joining the 2 grounds together, i joined wire c (12v ground on the z32 afm) and wire d (signal ground on the z32 afm) together and then joined that up to the white+blue wire (ground) on my stock loom and it seems to work fine, car idles perfect and dosent seem to run to rich ,i didnt want to take it for a drive though but im pretty sure it is working perfectly! Anyway thanks to all the people that put up this info, it was very helpfull! Cheers
  3. Hey Just wondering if someone could please confirm if i have hooked up my PFC boost controll kit correctly (car is a ecr33). I know that pressure sensor plugs straight into the power fc so that is fine, but ive just wired up the boost controll solenoid and am not sure if i have done it right (the pfc faq dosent explain it very clearly) , from what i understand it tells me that i need to wire it straight up to the stock boost controll solenoid wiring loom , which i have done, i have wired it up like this: Pink wire on apexi solenoid = white wire on stock boost controll loom Black wire on apexi solenoid = black wire on stock boost controll loom So i have wired the apexi solenoid straight up to the stock boost control solenoid loom Or is this completly wrong? my tune is on the 10th so im just trying to make sure everything i have done is correct. Anyway if someone could confirm if i have wired the solenoid up correctly that would be great Cheers Jason
  4. Have you looked on www.jps-trading.com? he normally has a few kits in stock Also try www.rhdjapan.com
  5. Just a quick question How much should a wastegate flap actually open, i am using a hks 3037 pro s turbo kit which comes with the hks dump that Cubes posted a pic of, but i have noticed if i desconnect the actuator arm and try to open the wastegate flap using the part that the actuator rod clips onto i can only move it about 1cm untill it hits the dump pipe. Does this sound normall? Im sure it would be fine as HKS surely wouldnt have overlooked this and would have desinged the kit to work perfect.
  6. So having the rod on that angle can damage the diaphram? , ive been driving the car like this for about 1month ,it seems to drive fine, although it does feel a little laggy
  7. Yea it is adjustable, i put the red mark on there as i spent most of the day trying to adjust to to see if i could make it any better, everything i tried didnt change the angle of the rod much and it was still nearly rubbing on the bracket, im 100% sure i have been sent the wrong bracket (not sure how) as even the instructions show the same bracket that you have. I have just emailed JPS to see if they can send me a new bracket before the 10th of march (car is booked in for a tune and i dont want to piss my tuner around by cancelling it as he is always pretty busy) hopefully the get back to me with a solution, dahm i hate when people dont send the correct parts
  8. Hey guys Fitted my HKS 3037 Pro S turbo kit from JPS a while ago, everything has been running smoothly so far, only problem i had was trying to get the wastegate back on after i had rotated the housings, looks like i was having trouble because JPS have sent me the wrong bracket, the bracket that i should have got would have been angled, but the bracket they sent me was an adjustable bracket that isnt on and angle, so the when the actuator is bolted up the actuator sits flat but the rod sits on an angle so that it can clip onto the was flap. if you look at the pics bellow you can see how much of an angle my actuator rod is on compared to ''SLYDA's" who has the correct bracket, in my pics the rod acutually looks like it is rubbing on the mounting bracket, but it isnt, it is very very close though, is this going to cause any problems? should i leave it how it is or make a new bracket? My wastegate setup Here you can see the pretty extreme angle the rod is on See how the rod is nearly rubbing on the bracket, is this going to cause any problems? And this is "SLYDA's" setup with the correct bracket I would contact JPS and ask them to send me a new bracket but my tune is 14days days so i dont really want to be sitting around waiting/wondering if the bracket will arrive in time. Would really appreciate some help. Cheers
  9. Go to www.ripsltd.co.nz He does rb20det plenums for about 1000aud, you wont find much better, the quality and fit is perfect! I had one on my old r32 gtst, i can try and post some pics if you need them?
  10. Hehe i dont have a gt-rs, that was my orignal choice and i was dead set on it after reading what everyone thought about them, but after doing hours of research it seemed the hks 3037 pro s was the better overall option, so thats what i went for , my aim is 270-280rwkw with a nice safe tune, only downside is im going to be running 95octane (all we have in my town which sucks) so i might need a little bit over 1bar to make that power, should be perfect for the street/track in my opinion. Anyway awsome result man!
  11. Has anyone here used the adjustable Ikeya Formula tension rods from nengun, i can get these with a bush instead of a bearing which will be better for street use for around $310 nzd
  12. You mean the Apex Performance/K sport r33? The one in this video Search "k sport r33" on youtube for tons more vids, seems to go pretty well
  13. Nice result! cant wait to get mine tuned , only 25days away lol What fuel? and are you still using the stock dump and front pipes or after market?
  14. Hey SK My front tension rod bushes just started leaking, do you have any upgraded bushes avaliable for a ecr33? if so what price and would you be willing to ship to N.Z? Cheers Jason
  15. Hey guys Just noticed that my left hand side tension rod is leaking out lots of clear grease from the bush, is this just normal wear and tear or have i done something to damage it? And should i just replace it with a stock bush (knowing nissan they will probaly charge me an arm and a leg) or upgraded them? i can get brand new nismo tension rods for $441 nzd from RHDjapan, or Some adjustable IKEYA rods for a bit more money, should i be looking at something like this or just replacing it with stock bushes? if i do upgrade them what are the benefits? Cheers
  16. Looks good, pity about the wheels!
  17. Like everyone else said thats a resonator, you are talking about the little bullet shapped thing yes? There is no cat converter in that exhaust, hence why its called a "catback exhaust", its bolts to the end of the cat converter!
  18. Bump.......
  19. Thats not a JJR catback, its a HKS Silent High Power catback, its says SILENT On the exhaust tip (you can see it in the pics but not very clearly) ,i have the exact same one on my car. And yes they are a bit loud (not drony though) ,far from being "silent"
  20. Thats a HKS Silent High Power catback exhaust, will fit your r33 perfect, i have one on my r33 gts25t, gave a decent gain but the biggest gain i got (after i had installed the catback) was replacing the cat converter with a decat pipe, which is illegal in aussie from what i know, so even just fitting a highflow cat should give you a decent gain to.
  21. Heres the vid, sounds better in person. Has Xforce 3" dump/front pipe, 3" decat pipe and HKS Silent High Power catback in this video, now has a hks split dump pipe (came with my 3037 turbo kit) and a hks front pipe which makes it sound alot different, sounds way better now! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GB1E4-0ePJE
  22. Any chance you took some decent pics while it was off the car? would be awsome to compare them to pics of the cheap manifolds that are out there. Make sure to take some pics when its all fitted to, im sure lots of people would be interested to see what its like!
  23. Im using the HKS Silent High power (see link in my sig for pics) sounds pretty awsome, looks awsome to! I have a video on my laptop of me taking off from a mates house that i could post up if i figure out how, will give it a try tonight
  24. Sounds good , would be good to have your settings just incase mine dont work when i put my numbers into the power fc Any idea why yours only work on 0.30msec? did you try the 66% and 0.19msec (using the formula in the power fc FAQ) before adjusting them yourself? Is anyone else using nismo 555cc's able to go into there PFC and check what settings they have theirs set to? would be a big help! Cheers
  25. Yes they fit perfect
