  1. Yeah, I care not for fragile un-rebuildable ball bearing stuff tbh, ill sacrifice 50rpm of spool for a turbo I can rebuild for 100bucks in 5 years time
  2. Jimmy Richards' Javelin should be done by now, will run in the muscle car masters instead of his Falcon Sprint And Marko, Anything MOPAR is worth a fortune in the states now...have been for around 5 years
  3. Hahaha If I had the money I wanted to have I would get something with fancy ball bearings etc...but alas I am poor atm...so spending around the 1200 mark....still considering a BW airwerks but they are even bigger physically than the T78-33d lol So yeah...6262 with the .84 split rear...had a look at some results on the net, but they are all dissapointing (car setup not turbo + tiny open t3 housings) but even with just a AFC and injectors they are making 400+hp on around 20psi and PULP which is fine by me...not fantastic but gives me hope that a decent tune will net 400 DD hp on less boost. If it doesn't I will forever keep rubbishing PT turbos lol
  4. the diff is on the wrong side though Why VG30 I still dont know...you could build a VERY angry RB34DET for less that it would cost to have a stock VG30 thrown in the car
  5. Im thinking a 6262 may be a better match to the stock 1jz with a 7200rpm limit...but with only .84 split t4 housing available may be a bit small if I go 3+L later on
  6. lol...well 2 hours later the turbo oil drain is fitted....sounds like a simple job yes......LOL 1JZ Soarer = same a TT 300ZX lol had to take out a steering rack mount bolt, turn it upside down, so the bolt head faces the sky and make up a washer for it. Looks like the oil drain kit I bought is for a front or rear sump JZ and not the mid sump engine....oh well...its in now...goes around infront of the bottom radiator hose to make sure it clears the manifold (plus its a bit long) Also discovered the front crank seal is leaking a bit (common JZ problem) so I am covered in oil after being under the car. Now just have to elongate the holes in the manifold flange (lol flange) which will be fun using my pissy little dremel on stainless....mind you I have ported cast iron heads using it lol
  7. Ye SAU:NSW track day Bris http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/365952-s-a-u-n-s-w-wakefield-trackday-number-3-for-2011/
  8. Video is cool...but who picked the song?
  9. hahaha....I just hit the call button on my mobile when I read this
  10. Shake Shake Shake So anyhoo Ive had the t78 on ebay for a few days now...just to see if there is any intrest..and because it looks look bloody hard to get it all to fit in nicely...and yep...reserve has been met Sooooo on the hunt for something that is maybe a bit more responsive on the 1jz....thinking maybe a PT6262...but dunno yet...will see what happens I guess
  11. yeah will see how I go
  12. yeah Im trying to attempt the same kinda thing atm, my HPI piping wont work with the highmount
  13. So.....Differences between the 6266 and the 6265? is the former just an update? price differences and what Split T4 rear housing should I be looking for on a 1JZ? was thinking 1.00a/r? Or Should I look at a 6262?
  14. Its funny though...i threw it up on ebay the other day (like I said looks like a pain to fit)...someone has bought it lol
  15. they arent that laggy compared to other turbos of the same size and...........age lol I am kinda regretting it though...they are so bloody big I have no idea if it will fit and look neat....bugger all room for a dump pipe! I have seen plenty of results of them matching GT40R powered JZ's for response and making a touch more power, but we shall see how she goes lol pic related
  16. Looks good...I love the 345 tyres Did you have the intercooler pipe work done here in Canberra or in Sydney?
  17. Nope...been made redundant twice this year f**k you GFC
  18. do you have an ECU you can tune with? If not I dare to to put a tank load of E85 in the car and run on the standard ECU....post video's for lulz
  19. How do you plan on fitting a diff to the VG30 sump? and R32 engine bays are narrower than Z32s wont be very easy to fit in.
  20. hmmm after reading both this and the EFR thread...Im going out to spoon my T78
  21. haha, out of money atm, rego and a $500 buck electricity bill
  22. If you were limited to near standard power in the dry at a track like Eastern Creek than yes. 600+hp and wakefield park....no way
