  1. For the first one, there should be a nipple on the intake pipe between the AFM and throttle body. As for the spring no idea, but most have one
  2. well home now...I am dissapoint with the quality of cars overall to be quite honest. a few nice XB hardtops and a couple of rods, but nothing jaw dropping RB30ET powered Corrolla was pretty cool though. Chatted to an old bloke about his '26 chev for 15-20 mins.
  3. So where is everyone?
  4. Perfect example of why brad should keep using front diff's white GTR front row of the grid
  5. NASCAR makes Toyota turn a camry from FWD to RWD and run a copy of the Yates 357 Windsor lol
  6. my brain hurts.... L plates? Exemption? seriously?
  7. there was a really good write up on EBC's on here from a few years back...but I cant for the life of me find it Basic gist was that a good EBC was worth 30 odd kws through the mid range over a bleed valve and full boost about 500rpm earlier.
  8. you lie!
  9. haha fair enough. I slept in the back of a mates HR31 once...was not a fun experience.
  10. THIS High-flows were good back in the days of Jap turbo kits for $8k or trying to adapt a little GT28 onto an RB. Who Remembers the Sliding Performance turbos Aaron was doing? Cheap and cheerful, but I dont think any of them lasted more than 12 months (I dont know of a single car that has one on it anymore) High-flows will always have their place and it is good that GCG are still doing theirs and Stao/Hypergear and getting some very good results now, but they are a compromise..and I don't really like that aspect when it comes to outright performance (I had a MTQ high flow on my 33 for a long time)
  11. Hmm crappy pic...but the only one I took today and there are not any photos on this page yet. Used the T78 to mock up the intake pipe, had some 3/4" push lock hose laying about so removed the funky 180deg metal heater hose bend (gives me more room and looks neater (see earlier pics of said funky 180deg metal thing lol) Painted the intake pipe with gloss black engine enamel, and went to paint the coil pack cover thing the same but, got one little spurt of paint from the can and it was empty...So now I have 1 big black spot on it..... Will finish later. Forgot to get pics of my epic angle grinder attack on the manifold so will do that tomorrow....If I remember. Going to marques in the park for some inspiration. Nate I see you reading, come say hi (and give me your wheels lol)
  12. are you staying the night in the car? lol
  13. should be interesting...and allow more road based cars to do well. Wonder if they will let open wheelers up there?
  14. Im a Toyota convert. but seriously my near standard 1JZ soarer will stick with a near standard R32-34 GTR in a straight line. It cost $7500, is much comfier to sit in, is immune to the wrong attention, sure the brakes aren't as good standard and lacks 4wd etc but imo a 34 GTR isnt $40k better, however if I had $50k to spend on a car a 34 GTR would be on the list (I would buy a 2001 model Supra though ) But dont buy one thinking it is king of the road. you will be embarrassed at the lights by an SS commodore, embarrassed at the track by a mild S13 Buy one because YOU want one, never buy an enthusiast car thinking you can sell it for what you paid, you will ALWAYS loose money. Perfect example I paid $16.5k for my old 33 gtst back in the day...I sold it for 1500 bucks after spending 10's of thousands on it Only you can decide whether paying 50k for a 12 year old car is worth it or buy a 13 year old GTR for half as much
  15. Whut? How do you confuse det and a leaky gasket. No leaky gasket I have ever heard sounds like marbles in paint tin????? Stop asking questions if you don't want to hear the answers
  16. Whut? No
  17. Actually I have one you can have cheap if you want to dabble It's a hdi spec r thingy Not sure if it still works so you can try before you buy
  18. Yes! Especially with an internally gated turbo Works much better.
  19. oh well....least I wont be able to drive off with a car full of your stuff unlike wakie lol
  20. This should give you an idea, stock internal 1JZ with 264 cams...this car hasn't backed it up on the strip so i'm not sure how genuine those 640 horses are (dynojet reads a bit higher than a Dyno Dynamics dyno) at 24psi...but should be high 500's out here on a DD roller Edit to add - 1JZs have smaller ports and half a point less compression than an Rb25det and tend to need a couple more psi in the intake to make the same power using the same turbo. So I would think that 600hp is there for the taking with a big (4") exhaust a good cooler and a good tuner on E85
  21. Ye the normal straight throw types do well, its just the return flow jobbies that hold it up at around 250-260 Even then the Blitz/trust/ARC ones all seem to stop not much past 300rwks without a huge turbo
  22. meh only 10% off...was a hot day when it was tuned His twin engined Suzuki thing from a few years back was cool
  23. Reece if you are still in Canberra you can borrow mine
  24. Could buy 2 r33 gtrs for the price. IMO they are over priced
