  1. Cool the housings are cheap for these things so might grab both the 8 and the 10 for the 20G and see how they go?

  6. yeah ive seen those times, but what most of them arnt saying is that they are on their 2nd or 3rd set of turbos, I want the same sort of performance but with reliability, rather than running 200000k old ct12a's hence wanting the td06 a 25G would be the best bet I know, but like I said they are harder to get, A new manifold is no dearer than a set of decent dump pipes for the stock turbos etc. the 1jz are quite lethargic below 3000rpm with the stock twins so I think a 20G with a small turbine housing will make an awesome streeter, and if Canberra ever gets it drag strip back I have a rather modified TD-07S sitting here if I ever want 400rwks there are a couple of guys on here with 300rwks using the L2 so that might be the go for what I want. Oh PS there is a set of brand new jzz30 spec ct12a's on Ebay.com for about 900 bucks if you are intersted.
  7. I forgot about this thread, only looking for aboot 260rwks outta the 1jz Also now looking at using a td06 so circular flange. That is if I cant find a suitable manifold cheap off the shelf. But I do like the idea of not having a stupid high mount manifold, stealth ftw lol

As it says, I'm after info on all the Mitsubishi / Trust TD-06 turbos incuding all variants such as the TE-06, T67 etc etc Looking for one for my Soarer and there a billion different options but mainly looking at the TD06 20G with the small 8cm turbine housing, due to the car being auto I want stock boost response or better and be able to make ~260rwks on Pump Unleaded through the auto. (yes I know the stock turbos will make that, but for how long?) So i know there are a few RB20 guys making around the 260-280rwkw through a manual. But will the little exhaust housing choke the 1jz (2.5L)? Should I be looking for a 25G or an L2 model? the 25G is quite hard to get compared to the 20g and 20GL2. Then there is the T67, which shares the turbine wheel and housing with the L2 but runs a td07 comp wheel and housing, so may be a little laggy for what I want? SO who can add more?   10. Interesting that they are using MHI turbos and not garrett by the looks of it, those turbos look very similar to td06's

  13. MAtty - use some bolts in the head where the brackets were and slip the chain over those, just make sure you have some washers big enough so the chain doesnt slip through.
  14. aboot $100 bucks, I was more thinking just for the mean time, but the effort involved in swapping them over and then havng to go it all over again when I up the boost means I doubt Ill grab them. just worked it out, the 2jz 440's are only 19% larger so no go for e85 even now, need 550s minimum oh well.

  17. Reckon factory 2jz 440's will be enough for the standard turbo's there is a set going cheap I can get my hands on. Thinking I really should get some big ones straight up to make sure I have enought fuel for the future. While Im thinking of it, would rb25 injectors fit the 1jz fuel rail, the plugs are different but thats an easy fix, asking cause I have set of high flowed 25det squirters sitting in the garage.

  19. Thanks, was going to use the plug in loom to save hacking up the factory loom. Im guessing it needs a bucket load more fuel when cold over factory.

  21. Trent - by any chance has you tried E85 on a 1jz with the EMU? looking at doing it on my soarer cause we get 2 E85 servos here in the ACT this month and I have the Emanage lying around. I still want to be able to run 98 so trying to figure out the best compromise of injectors that are big enough for upto the 300rwkw mark on E85 yet still be able to control the injectors with the EMU, The car is Auto so no chance of being able to use a real ECU

  25. They are designed for use with distributors, not individual coils, no knock control or anything like that. what motor is it going on?
