Been recommended to Knox Auto's. rang them told the dude i have a nissan stagea auto. he asked r33 or r34 auto ? so he know's his cars. and a few dudes here in Vic had work done there. taking it there tomorrow get the seal fixed and a service kit installed and car should be all good, and i dont like your 4 digit price tag dave

cheers guys. rang Knox spoke to burt. there not open for business today but he was happy to listen. even wanted to know a code of the plate in on the firewall. (most blokes would give to shits and tell you to ring back) quoted about $140 for a service kit, but i explained to him what happend and he said it sounded seriouse. later check the dip stick. basically nothing left only like 3ml on it ..... must of lost alot of fluid last night .... only just had the 100,000k done last week

maybe i should not of said anything today my auto trans started playing up, wouldnt down gear and had no overdrive and A/T light is flashing ! anyone wanna swap their manual stagea ?

mine is being stupid today. have had a slow leak for a while now (2months) been no problems with it. but starting from last week, it i take a corner, no matter wat speek 15ks 30ks, it wants to drop back on gear and rev it out untill i set the wheel straight it will move up a gear. and then today it reved out 1st gear and went into 2nd gear really rough (like quick shift, Thud) then went into third took a corner, id didnt drop down a gear around turn. but i didnt drop down a gear at all, stayed in third, up hill in third, didnt really move, had to pull over put in park and back to drive, still wasnt moving out of third. shut the car down check fluids looked a little low not major, turned car back on A/T light flashin for about a min. drove it home like a granny, but had no over drive at 80k's so i was doing 2,200rpm. anyone know the part number for a service kit and a good place to take mine in Melbourne South east, and hopfully this week, need it for a long haul this weekend coming up ... thanks heaps

My auto has decided not to work propally to the point where it wouldnt down gear out of third and found it very hard to move uphill in third. turned the car off for a few mins, turned back on, the A/T light was flashing for 1min then off it went, but have no over drive. and its had a slow leak for about 1month now, but nothing went wrong now its decided to. Any of you very helpful people know any good places to get a service kit installed ? Fast , quality work and affordable ? South east would be preferd too Cheers TJ

nup only went to about 160-170kph from what i remeber. think my fuel cut is at 190 or so

might need to do a written test just to get up to scratch with the road rules, not too sure vicroads will help you with that. and yep P plates for you buddy.

welcome mate. yeah we tend not to see anything prior to the EVO3. although my mate does own a evo2 and its the only one i've seen. being 19 2yrs before turbo's and v8's. and score a skyline after. you'll be a cops best mate. cause of all the idiot hoons who drive them giving them a bad name and making the law's tighter for P'platers. other then that its a great city and state. what area are you in ?

keep the water pump. i just did mine, and im keeping the waterpump. just incase the new one decides to blow. i've got a back up and a little bit more time to find some cash

im hearing ya. my first two cars . 84 MR30 skyline and a Vr 5spd holden. biggest money sponges ever, put a few thousand into each just to keep them running. flogged the MR30 for $800 bucks (break's alone costed me that much) and the VR $1,800 without plates or RWC ( band new timing chain 2000km old and 4new tyre's costed that much) feeling your pain. my stagea is my first turbo car. and its been good to me, although have noticed tranny fluid dripping here and there, and its down gears for no reason around corners and rev's out untill i have straightend the wheel up. i think my import fun and games has just began to start!!

ah series one. well its already has less power at the flywheel to start with, then through the drivetrain and four wheels lost more again. but yeah just making the whole thing breath alot better is a good shot. its yours a stealth cooler ? or are you going to cut the hole under the battery ? and yeah i was paying for mine as yours was backing up to the dyno, didnt make it out in time to see it. good that you rocked up though
