Their is a 4th of March in 2011 (but i've already got something booked) I've heard of advanced warning but this is a bit extreme.
-
Just having some fun (and with a spelling mistake) Nothing wrong with Italians (unless you need to go to war) And another mistake (by me) - its the crows v power thats on Foxtel (the only game that matters - so long as the Crows win)
-
What are you talking about, the NBA Cup is ONLY available on Foxtel.

But not following AFL and prefering the soccer makes you a WOG  We've all heard that about wogs, visit the loo and come back with a little bit of wog in you

how can you guys prefer soccer to AFL You can watch a whole game and no-one scores (its the sporting equiverlent of a Dungeons and Dragons social club) A possible reason for the low scores would also be that the rest of the team want to pack rape the guy who scored a goal, it would discourage me from kicking a goal. On top of that the fans make alkieda look tame when their team scores a goal (probably because they know it could be 2 or 3 more games before they score another) I guess if your a "Loud and Proud" Calvin Klien wearing, "Will and Grace" watching, hairdresser or Interior designer who likes to march in a mardigra then soccer is going to be your thing. But I'm just a red meat eating, beer drinking, girl chasing, high powered car sort of person, so I'll stick with the AFL. PS - dont get your nickers in a knot or start a gihad (sp?) over these comments, if you cant take them with a sence of humour your probably a "mens beauty product" wearing soccer fan anyway.

It was a great turnout and nice to meet a whole lot of new faces. Congrats to the organizers.

Whats The Cheapest Way To Hit 260-270rwkw?
4door_Sleeper replied to copycutter's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
More than likley they havnt upgraded their injectors, so 220-240rwkw is the limit with a rising rate regulator. I have the GCG and am very happy with it. At the time there were NO other turbos that came close for the price (and I didnt want to trust the second hand ones - who honestly sells these with only 2000km since upgrade? is that made up of 4000 quarter mile passes?? ) Dont forget to factor in the cost of mounting these other turbos. GCG is truly a straight bolt up, many others require fabrication of oil/water lines and modifications to dump pipes/exhaust etc. The GCG can be done easily by the home mechanic in the driveway, some of the others are not so easy. -
I'm happy with Bigpond cable (unlimited) I dont live next door to an exchange so I dont think I'll go for ADSL2 yet.

Hi I am in need of some help with MS Access, I have created a reasonably complicated relational database for work, but have become stuck generating a simple user interface. Since their seems to be a lot of other IT based people on these forums I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to get help. This is a work database (not a personal one) for school age students at the Womens and Childrens Hospital. If anyone works for a company who offers support, or can point me in the right direction it would be much apreciated.
-
Andrew, I already dobbed you in when I PM'd R31Nismoid earlier in the week If the job requires anyone with EBay expertise we will need you.
-
Thanks I apreciate all the effort you have gone to, let me know when they are available.

How do we decide who? Do we go by post whoring ??? Do we look at the longest member?? I Know - how about the owner with the most uniqe body kit on an R33 sedan

Dont give false directions If anything dont give them any information, but false information will only look bad on the club and hinder our future cruises. If you are expecting trouble from the police because of your driving or poor quality mods, dont come on the cruise.
-
Give them the start point and end point and the basic route ie South Rd, Main North Rd, Coast Rd or whatever and the expected times (we are always late). I advised them of the cruise we had a few months ago up north, and there were no problems. Anyone dooing stupid things deserves to be pulled over, this is a cruise not a qualifying sessin for D1. I would go conservative on the numbers (10 sounds better than 60) because we never get as many turning up as we expect. (and as mentioned some others are going to meet you there rather than cruise with the group)
-
Just a thought that is might be worth sharing phone numbers amongst friends attendind and/or picking a channel to use on the UHF for this cruise. Since it looks like it could be a good turnout I am sure others would like to be forewarned if there are any problems on the road up ahead. (perhaps have alternate meeting points/destinations selected if need be)

I am not sure of the specs for the 2 types of valve spring, so this advice may not be relevant, but .... Avoid the trap of putting in too heavy a spring. Heavy springs take more energy to operate, and have the added disadvantage of applying excessive pressure on the valves and seats (granted this is an equilibrium as the valves have to seat and the springs must force the valves shut at a rate close to the ramp drop of the cam.- too light and the valves may bounce or close too slowly) The other component to consider when closing a valve (rather than high spring rates) is the reciprocating mass. This is an old trick where the shaft of the valve within the sleeve is machined down to the thickness of the Collet notch, (along the length that remains within the valve sleeve) as this section has no effect on the valves travel. By reducing the mass a lighter spring is required. 4000 rpm isn’t that fast, and you didn’t mention having a ridiculously aggressive cam, so my guess is that you have a sagging/broken/week spring, faulty lifter(s) or a bad valve that has prematurely tuliped,. In any event it looks like its a cylinder head off job. Good luck, and let us know what you find..

Gap them at 0.8. 1.1 is a bit big for 13.5psi, and its an easy enough job to see if it fixes the problem. Whilst you have the plugs out, have a look at the colour and finish (their is a chart somewhere on the forums, or I can send you a copy of mine ) to diagnose any problems. Inconsistency accross the range will help you diagnose a fault.
-
At 400rpm the oil pressure shouldnt matter as the lifters should be full prior to this and I dont think you can over pressurise them (within reason in a motor) I agree that you should check the clearances and shim acordingly, but I would have hoped Chris Millton dit this correctly (he has a good reputation) Have you had it on a dyno, just wondering if one (or two) lifters have sh!t themselves.
