Forget about rb26 pistons. HIGH COMPRESSION Lewis engines have Arias pistons for RB25/30 neo heads and engine listed on their site for $1375 Just spoke to quantum racing and they want ~$1520 to get CPs made 4-5 weeks they said. About to call lewis engines see if they have anything in stock....

Neo engine, same problem as you; no one has off the self pistons except for Jun which would probably be 1900-$2000. Got quoted $1390+delievery from spool for CPs.

You can get CP pistons made which take 4-6 weeks. I'm trying to find out if anyone else will aswell. Speaking to a few machinists/engine builders; getting the combustion cambers machnied and running a thick head gasket (2mm) they were still getting big compression. The only way to do it properly is to get pistons made.

Engine fan would be the best way to go. What did you do underneath the radiator? did you move that forward aswell?

Been searching trying to find out what the differences between NEO turbo and non turbo heads as I and trying to find out if I can use a Non turbo head when I build my engine. I am not worried about cams or springs as I will be replacing them. Are the inlet and exhaust runners and valves the same size? Is the combustion camber the same volume? Cheers, Alex.

I managed to fit a 13" slim spal puller (just) on the drivers side of my china spec radiator. The bloke at PWR said that probably wouldn't cut it by it self but there was zero chance in fitting anything else next to it. I'll be surprised if a 14" puller will clear the engine, I have a 14" spal here and it doesn't fit the dimensions of my core height wise.... 378mm between the tanks, but you have a different radiator. the 14" spal is like 399mm by 410mm. I could only fit a 8" spal on the passenger side as a pusher because of my oil coolers infront of the radiator but you could probably fit a 10" spal? as a pusher without anything in front. Whats aircon? My memory is a abit hazy but the 13" and 8" gave something close to the same amount of flow as the 14" which what the bloke at PWR was wanting me to run, can't remember is that was the slim version or not.

I was trying something new......... Air cooled RB25, didn't work out for me Massive split in heater hose/turbo water line and cooked the engine bad.

Turnthe engine on its side on an engine stand, one cylinder at a time turn engine until cylinder is in compression stroke (vavles closed) break away nests, air blower, hope for the best. One of those fibre optic cameras would handy be handy aswel

Shouldn't be a problem leaving it disconnected and getting the car retuned? Ignoring the computer codes/engine light or are there any other problems with this?

A few pictures of my setup; Tps and throttle body both work nicely but not getting any values from the computer for the idle control valve yet.

I recently did this using Q45 throttle body and Q45 TPS, HKS RB26 fuel rail with machnied up spacers and sard 800cc injectors and r33 idle control valve Black red and white are the three that you need for TPS the green, yellow and something else i binned.... I am yet to get the idle control valve working......

haha just when i get my car running if I found out they started making 1.06 and 0.82 split housings I wonder how far away untill they release the full series of GTX-R turbos
