  1. hahahahah i think every1 is hormonal from high petrol prices.
  2. dude how is the comment racist? im saying it resembles a flag on my first impressions, so how is that racist? would it be racist if the car was blue and i said paint the southern cross on it?? or if its was white and had a red circle on it. As i feared with the lack of maturity, my comment has been taken the wrong way. ppl have become stupid till the point that even the colors that resembles the Aboriginal flag can be deemed offensive. And before you call ppl red necks racist please consider your own chain of thoughts and interpretation of someone else post. you are after all posting your car ON A PUBLIC forum for everyone to see and comment upon. i didnt refer to anything racist other than my OPINION of MY first impression, you were the one that play the race card. i hope you CLEARLY see the DIFFERENCE between someones IMPRESSION and RACIST conclusion interpreted by yourself.
  3. ROFL, i have a spare r34 flywheel that was gunna go to my manual conversion until i lost my license. im willing to "invest" if i see some petroleum returns. and a few random bits and pieces in the shed, recaro bucket seats etc etc, its a start . quoting terry "Na ! All our problems can be solved LEGALLY ! Q. Are there enough spares advertised on SAU to build a car from the ground up? A. Yeh - some shitty, some good. Q. Do we have enough savvy members of SAU who can build cars faster than a speeding bullet? A. Absolutely ! Q. Do we have any members who can look Arab especially with a beard. A. I'd say so. Q. Are there any SAU members in Sales? A. Yep - sure are. Q. Well why don't we use our consortium to export Getaway cars to Iraq and swap them for full tankers ? A." its a start to a get away car
  4. please dont flame me guys but no1 has noticed this yet. in the fotos is looks more red than pink. Now just got to get a big YELLOW circle between the black and red/pink. you have urselfs a flag. personally i would like to see the finished job before commenting further, but its an odd lines to choose.
  5. ahhaahh, the high pressure makes a big difference guys, ive got neg cambers 1.5 deg fronts and 2 deg rears. helps abit with the camber wear when inflated around the 38 psi. on track days i have my rears at 40 and fronts on 36-38. depending on conditions. its a bitch to drive on rough roads though. Category 3: fronts 34psi rear 38 psi (havent check these for 3 months now, lost my lincense ) shit ass nangkangs z2 rears and sumitomo htrz3 fronts (quite like these tyres compared to my bridgestone z3) F235/45/17 R255/40/17 12.1L/100km standard turbo running 9 psi.
  6. THEY need to thank the "grey importers" for the popularity of the gtr, back in 92 when they had a hard time selling the r32. IT was the importers who started the nissan/gtr/s13-15 etc etc fan base. Who are they to heavily criticize them. the r35gtr applied for full volume import, but it haven't been approved yet. (correct me if me wrong)
  7. i think we should have a window of 2-3 months to import the r35 under sevs (if u have the $$$$ i think a few workshops are working at now it and its just a matter of time) before nissan get access to full volume. prob here is how many gtr's can be bought and sold during that time?. Colin if u are reading this, im sure most ppl who wanted a gtr will now source it directly from japan, so price it well DONT de-tune it like the s15. please learn from your mistakes. simple statement. WE are loyal to the car NOT the Nissan Australia dealership. here is a great opportunity to win back the enthusiast/fan base. This is NOT a good way to start btw. u are fighting the very ppl who have worship the legacy of the gtr and have brought the new gtr to the status that its at. this car will simply sell itself so ditch ur marketing team ,advertising etc etc and pass the savings onto your customers.
  8. makes me wonder about the tunning industry and what they can get out the the vr38, cant wait till it gets released here in AUS, by then the jap would have very nice parts ready for us "make me wonder why i bought the M3" LOL with reviews like this im sure poka's and bemmers will be more extreme in the future. f**k the worlds oil supply, we are going to have a "BIG automotive" world war
  9. LOL @ vid, man that was an awesome burnout until his engine blew. considering that thing was bouncing of the limiter for such long periods of time im not surprise it overheated and BANG! . what u have to remember in drift is that your car is traveling sideways, hence there isnt much airflow for your radiator to disperse the heat. keep an eye on your water temp and if it reaches pass 120 -140deg, pull it in and let it cool down. a larger or wider radiator would improve cooling. new radiator are cleaner hence would provide better flow as well has heat dispersion. if u have a stock front bar i recommend u either get an after market one for better air flow, or even better ventilated bonnet. AWESOME burnout!
  10. i think what he meant if that u would get a gtr u'll be tempted into the tracks and that would set u back heaps. but then again 30k is a decent budget for a well tunned 32. daily drive go for the 34 mate, simply less to fix up, newer more reliable etc. both cars would satisfy u on the weekend track days.
  11. the face of that Porsche is very intimidating, f**ken just happily smiling, i really hope Nissan bring out something serious and i dont think the rsr can be considered as a road car. :S i wont be surprise if Porsche does come out on top with this war, the first ever r35gtr to be imported (Europe) was sent to Stuttgart to the porsche factory engineers for a thorough examination. i love nissan head engineer statement though "why ask why our cars so are cheap, why not ask why our competitors cars are soo expensive"
  12. wog boy reading ur avatar and post above got me laughing. do u feel like a big man ? 32zilla let us know when nissan updates their info on pricing. i got a bet going with a mate on the price that they be selling for in AUS
  13. great read. it was like i was there with u..........BASTARD!! so jealous.
  14. no i drive on them. WHO the f**k would put chromes on a r35gtr? i guess the americans have diff taste.
  15. my left testicle would look better than the chromes on that white gtr
  16. uneven dish :S its like.......noticable diff size boObies.
  17. i thought it was 100,000kms not 10k. apparently (correct me if im wrong) somebody mentioned that Nissan recommends a rebuild after 100, 000km.
  18. woah! im on my uni breaks from mechatronics eng and physics still haunts me here LOL. please dont make me get my books out. lets put it this way, cars are approx 20-30% efficient. And in the worlds of todays technology, its not how much power u have, its how u put the power down that moves the car. i think we all can agree on that. just remember this..... NISSAN have NEVER overrated their power figures in performance cars. sure the car will get from 0-100 in 3.3 but its doesn't necessary mean it will last more than 10 launch. almost of japan workshop have been delivered their gtr's just give them a week or so to break in the engines before serious thrashing can begins on the dyno's.
  19. as expected, in future all of our cars will have gps in built and everytime we speed it would notify the police and we get a welcomed mail to our doors. im sure nissan prob labeled which wire to cut.
  20. we are really getting off subjects here. most of the power loss in the drive trains is through the transfers of energy. every time u transfer energy or force through gears or a change in direction (on different axis of rotation) u lose power/energy (read up acceleration, momentum and rotational forces). now how much u lose depends on the the design of the drive train and friction blah blah. BUT back on the weight of the gtr guys. i reckon the gtrs weight issue is its drive train. u don't get a 11 1/4 car with ordinary steel, most of the parts that nissan used are either/or heavy and tough alloys. they simply cant afford use light weight, high strength alloys that would simply but the gtr closer to the 911 prices. im pretty sure the v-spec will be equipped with cf parts along with carbon ceramics brakes which would be lighter than its iron slap.
  21. my IQ dropped by 50% after reading this shit. and thank u gary for saving the other 50%
  22. dw mate. their is a thing called economic engineering. basically all cars "in general" are designed to last 20 years. As for electric cars, the process of making the Li batt on a large scale is still expensive to be widely used in automotive industry. its still too heavy and inefficient. my advice is focus on the electrical side of things to the automotive industry as everything is becoming automated.
  23. well, im running 11-12 psi daily with 1.1mm ngk iridiums. so stock coils are very good. as for the coils holding up ive only starting to notice it flatting out around 6kish rpm. cant expect much from them since they are like 12 year old coils and running relatively large gap for 11psi.
