  1. The factory internal feed from the RB25 block is only 1.4mm
  2. FC Hako did the repair on mine after I fried it
  3. You can buy a bank of 4 brand new genuine ls2 coils for under $200 posted from the states. Absolute piece of piss to set up too
  4. My mate had an exhaust wheel destroyed on his brand new 6262 from 2 pieces of weld about 1" long which came from inside the manifold where the collector had been welded internally. It was cleaned out thoroughly numerous times before it went on the car but these were obviously right down inside a runner. Better off spending the extra coin on a decent manifold. It ended up costing my mate more in the long run
  5. The set of 8 x new LS2 coils I bought worked out to almost half that including post. Never had a single ignition issue with them either, even with really fat mixtures
  6. The fitting in the turbo has a restrictor built into it so you shouldn't need to fit one. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong though Just out of curiosity what is the correct thread for the oil feed fitting? I found 1/8 npt didn't seem to wind in as far as I'd like
  7. They are an absolute bucket of shit. Customer support is pathetic, you can't do a thing with them unless handing over wads of cash and the software sucks balls. We had to send a rb25 one back to get something as simple as a thermo fan output enabled, which is yet something else they charge you for. The vct can be turned on and off in the aux screen.
  8. LS1/2 coils have inbuilt ignitors so they won't work with your microtech. They are great option for coils though. Not sure if you can send the ecu back and get the inbuilt ignitors disabled. Just another thing they would charge you for though
  9. Have you considered running external coils and leads? The bosch coils microtech sell with the ltx12s seem to work alright Best thing you can do is run over the microtech and buy a decent ecu. The technology in a nintendo gameboy would be more advanced.
  10. A number of people use that washer fluid with the methanol in it in their set ups so it should be pretty safe in your washer bottle I'd say
  11. A mate's 6262 is quite noisy also but I thought it was just the thing with roller bearing turbos. It was actually really hard to spin when it first went on the car but seems to have free'd up nicely now. My brother's GT30 is noisy as hell, even after it was reco'd I've had a buggered precision 6262 roller apart before and it only had one hole in the centre cartridge for the oil restrictor to locate into, the drain hole on the opposite side was more than half the diameter. Wonder if there's a few different assemblies they use
  12. Who cares how long it lasts lol. That thing is awesome
  13. Thats all I ended up doing with the car I was working on as we couldn't find a 1.4mm either
  14. Buy a system with a good failsafe feature on it and none of those things will be an issue. I'll be wiring my aquamist into the ecu so it switches back to my soft tune if there is any problems. Thinking I may also use it to disable the boost controller through a relay
  15. I'd just bin it and buy a decent ecu. I just finished wiring a lt12s up on a 25/30 and it was the most outdated piece of shit I've ever tried to use. VCT won't be enabled as its set up for a RB30 and you can't configure the outputs yourself, which means sending it back to microtech and paying them money to change stuff which you can do with the click of a button in any other ecu. Unless you are prepared to throw good money at something that has the technology of a commodore 64 for a reconfigure, you would be better off selling it and going with something else. We even had to send my mate's back to get a thermo fan output added which is just a joke
  16. As ugly as these Maatouk spec RB30 plenums are the results speak for themselves, so they can't be too bad
  17. Here's the guts of a stuffed 6262 if anyone was interested in having a look. I can't understand why there isn't rebuild kits available for them as they are so simple to work on. The bearing assembly isn't even a press fit so you could do seals without having to spend a fortune. Would only be a matter of having the assembly rebalanced again
  18. First attempt at an aurora a couple of weeks back. Definitely need to find a new location with more of a horizon
  19. I thought it was a bit strange. Its turning but you can easily stop it by hand. I've had the oil restrictor out of it to tap the oil feed fitting thread a bit deeper but I can't see that causing any issues. I'll take a video next time the car is running. It's still about 98% complete atm
  20. Got a roller bearing 6262 to go on a mates 25/30 and it doesn't seem to spin as freely by hand as the GT35's I've had in the past. It actually hardly spins at all when idling. Is this normal or is there an issue somewhere
  21. Cheers for the link. Looks like it needs a 1.4mm restrictor installed
  22. Done a bit of searching but couldn't find an answer. Just wondering if you need to run a restrictor in the external vct oil feed on a 25/30? If so what size will it need to be? I've currently got it plumbed up with a -4 feed
  23. Best bang for buck is swapping to a set of 4 x LS2 coils with a set of custom leads. They have inbuilt ignitors which the wolf will drive fine and they have a brilliant spark. You can pick up a set of 4 oem surplus coils with loom for a bit over $100 off ebay usa
