  1. roy we had that unstability feeling in the rear too under power and hard braking, (if you can get it on a hoist get a big bar in there and check all your bushes, our lower control arms were moving around and like duncan said the rods ends were also moving, so we changed them to polyurethane and it still actually had just as much movement !! and didnt fix the problem, we then put in solid alloy bushes in the control arms pivot points to check if we were on the right path and bingo much better, so we bought control arms with proper solid rod ends and the car is heaps better for it! also with you going through brakes it means you are working them hard because you are driving hard and also proably getting great grip on semi's, we could get about 2 or 3 mm a side on the rear in bush movement (even though they looked fine) with a big bar in there, can you imagine whats happeing when you go hard under brakes and both rear wheels move back and outwards generally heaps of toe out and very unstable. hope this makes sense ( getting late) cheers russ
  2. thanks for the support mate!! it is much appreciated! and really hope we get a good run at it and can show what the aussies can do!! hey mate (9krpm) there the TE37's 18 X 10 1/2 ( I THINK + 22 OFFSET) and they fitted straight on! our guards have been rolled before we got the car , i think they would touch otherwise also the negative camber front and rear helps tuck them inside the guard , but they dont rub at all. (they were bronze and we painted them black and had new decals made. cheers russ
  3. good to hear , you have it sorted. when running it in, one good way is to not run any boost at all for first 500 kays or so( many different theories but thats how we do it) cheers russ

  8. also you have to be real careful with fitting of brake caliper mounts and mods! i saw a brake mount break away and the caliper swung around and took out the lower control arm ! driver was at speed & in an instant had limited steering and loss of brakes.!!! cheers russ

  14. i dont have a pic, but they are similar to the unique auto ones but made of rubber and bolt to the castor arms, pretty effective.
  15. backing plates must go! you can buy the original n1 brake air guides for the gtr r32 from nissan they are rubber and very effective, we have them on our 32 and it has extended disc life. we couldnt get 6 laps out of qr on a set of rotors without cracking right through! (genuine nissan disc's brand new and bedded in) cheers russ

  20. Yeah good spotting roy, steering ratio is standard so fair bit of rotation required but the car was pushing a fair bit in these videos but got better as the day went on and adjustments were made. russ
  21. i have every touring car video i could get my hands on of the gtr days and it really is great to watch them carve up.!!
  22. is that true! if a 32 still runs a faster lap then thats simply awsome!
  23. i have just bought a smart tring set up out of the states, but up until now have been using curtain rods and string (cost about $30) another big issuee with laser stuff is attachment to the rim, if there not careful or if your rims dont have a good lip on the rim( eg r34 rims), they fu@#k it up everytime. russ
  24. good luck mate! hope you get a good run at it!! russ
