  1. I have no idea how the HKS Ignition System works but spark is directly related to this issue. Does it have full voltage to it? Try splitfires and standard ignitor etc. Back to basics. Its a longshot, but possibly the IGN system is faulty and not burning all the fuel that is going in, but burning just enough to make the power, and blowing the unburnt fuel out the back. The AFR meter will only read burnt fuel. I cbf reading above but how is INJ duty compared to the last tune exactly? If higher than last time more fuel is going in, but if its making the same power and running the same AFR as last time, somethings up.
  2. offers? Also, when we removed this turbo we found the gate flap was incorrectly set and was not completely shut when it shouldve been. This means once you repair the oil seal and reset the flap this should greatly increase response! Will be one hell of a turbo!
  3. Dude intake side! Not exhaust! An air leak wont give hunting. Just high idle. 25's make a hissing sound all the time inside the plenum. Its just something they do. Hunting is caused by rich mixture or possibly dirty IAC or incorrect timing or incorrect TPS setting. Might need injector clean, or trying cleaning the afm and IAC, reset timing and TPS. If its happened all of a sudden and nothing has been touched its most likely fuel related.

  7. FARK ME so many damn keyboard tuners! Awesome! What does your tuner suggest the problem is? Does he think there even is a problem? What EXACTLY changed since it started making the smoke? Start looking there.
  8. Ive done both ways and I reckon top out is better. Sure it comes out the bottom way in 2 hours BUT then you gotta remove the engine and box off of the k frame, put k frame back in to get the car mobile, disconnect suspensions etc etc. I know you have to do at least the drivers side, but still.... Once you get the intake piping and cooler piping and radiator out, theres plenty of room. Drop the box xmember down to get the top bellhousing bolts then put it back up. A ratchet spanner is your friend for the top starter bolt. Each to their own. Try both ways...good practice
  9. impressive, but, to me it looks laggy for a std 33 housing! never thought id say that about a factory housing lol. a bar at ~3700 and full boost at ~4000. looks very similar to a OP6 / 3076 curve. a good cheaper? alternative. nevertheless a good achievement for a 33 housing. good street only turbo. dont worry about the heat, its not like you would have it that hot on the street...

  11. Hey folks, As stated, I have a Nissan Intake manifold gasket kit here to get rid of. Kit includes: 1 x Head-to-manifold gasket 6 x Throttle Body Gaskets 1 x IAC Valve Gasket Every gasket on the intake assy. Good to buy if youre rebuilding or just replacing those old ones that always go hard and blow out!   17. Unless the tuner is really SHIT i doubt they would go through and change everything to make it really rich...could be wrong. Coincidence, but failed Fuel Pressure Reg? Depending on how they can sometimes fail it could make the thing rich under low load and lean on power...or rich everywhere = sluggish. Take it back and get them to SHOW YOU while cruising on the dyno that the AFR meter shows either 14.7 or 1.00....shouldnt be anything other than that....
