  2. lol i bet $100 on him too! Go Webber. I hope he can properly fight for the title!
  3. Defo I would want the TT's for things like hillclimbs or 1-2 lap sprints. SR2 all the way for 5 laps etc.
  4. looks nothing but impressive looking forward to seeing it on the blacktop
  5. thanks for the feedback there rowdy. I dont want to drag this on. i will take some time and make up a reply when i get some time. I do lack technical knowledge in the area, and as time has shown, i have approached this in the wrong way. its all fair. I think perhaps I havent spent enough time making my posts and have made 30 sec efforts. I still beelive I have cause for complaint. But thats okay, that can be between me and the shop. I have really appreciated all the feedback from guys in this thread with info. and yep, pwned with my own comment. My pet hate on forums is people posting an opinion as a matter of fact. when alot of younguns get on here and will take it as gospel... thanks rich, will be in contact soon. just waiting to get all my bits together and decide a plan of attack. cheers michael
  6. fantastic! now that would be worth some investment!!! michael
  7. i run 265's on my 18x10 wheel on an R32. On an R34 why wouldnt you go 285 over a 10.5 rim? Michael
  8. thanks for sharing. great vid!
  9. I can direct blame because the workshop told me at the time they had some troubles and made some slight damage around the keyway, nothing to worry about 'apparantly'. My suprise is that to me, this is more than 'slight' damage. thanks for your input. Richard - I am gunna have a chat with my builder he was wanting a new crank, but I'll have a chat and see about repairing and give you a call mate if I need those bits. Cheers Michael
  10. I was just going to buy a new one to be honest .. thanks though. no thanks to workshop for not returning my e-mail.
  11. mate, my 3 mobile has worked everywhere i have been in Japan for the last week. no coverage issues at all. I have a Sony Ericsson K800i on a 3 plan. Other carriers may have issues, but for anyone using 3, my experience has been great. I have extensively used my phone in Tokyo (all over the place), Nagoya, Osaka and Nara. So I challenge the fact you say its easier to get a sim over there. Why would you when it works perfectly. please dont post your opinion as a clear fact as it can mislead people using this website for info. cheers michael
  12. I called my provider 3 today and they have set up my mobile will roam fine in Japan when I leave on Sat. I think it may be mixed messages from the past with people taking older phones over when Japan is 3G network?
  13. Rh9 wasnt running... good to see marks car! was running straight as! heaps more in it once you master the clutch! Michael
  14. Hi, I assume normal N1 water pumps have that elongated hole. Do you sell an N1 water pump for a normal block without the elongated hole? Cheers MIchael
  15. crank is integral to balance of engine and subsequently with mass missing it wouldnt have perfect balance. Thanks Daz - have sent you pm. Interested in your crank. Mick
  16. while we are in this thread. any decent events on in Japan next week? thinking about an impromptu trip... ! Jetstar has hella cheap flights!!! mick
  17. yeah its out being rebuilt now. And after finding this, I am pretty unhappy. I need a new crank. This happened about a year ago (and car has run since) when I had Mercury Motorsport do some other work including replace the balancer with an ATi item. If I recall they had some probs getting the balancer off and had to use some force... My oil pump has just died, so motor is now in peices and this is what I find. I personally would have preffered to know at the time the extent and would have replaced the crank! Am I unreasonable?
  18. Hi Guys, See attached for some pics of the snout on my crank. Damaged by a Brisbane workshop when replacing a balancer. How unhappy would you be?
  19. I'm a maybe at this point in time. If I can get engine back together in time I will come! 1 month!
  20. Hi what condition is crank in? Please post some pics of crank including around snout etc. cheers michael

  24. so youve demonstrated by wasting money and running around chasing a few kw here and there that you should have been happy with your initial tune??? For me its not just the figure, its how they go about it. Would love to know how much timing those workshops have in the tune. Might suprise you.
  25. Mark should run a 7 easy today. looked pretty good last night.
