I suggest you do a search on this forum for "hicas" and you will find out everything you need to know. The only real way you can test out your hicas system is to get the car data steamed by a consult machine. It's the easiest, simplest way to find the problem. I had problem with my hicas when I first got my car. The wire from the speedo to the computer had been disconnected meaning lots of things weren't registering with the computer (including the HICAS). There is also another problem with my HICAS being that when the car isn't doing hard turns (as in cornering), just driving along the freeway, my light comes on. It's because the connector in the steering wheel isn't making contact so the computer can't make a connection betwen the sensor and the computer. I found this out by getting the car data streamed. You can either get this done at a Nissan dealer, or a mechanic who has the machine. The only mechanic I know that has one is Gavin Wood Auto Tech who is at Labrador down the coast. I'd suggest if you don't know alot about skylines or cars in general, take it to a mechanic/dealership that knows what they are doing.

You have to be really careful around any car you think is a cop car. Most highly ranked police officers (usually superintendent and above) are issued with police service vehicles. These are either a S pac brand new commodore or a Ford Fairmont Ghia. All cop cars have a little sticker in the bottom right hand corner of the window. It's a white sticker with a Q and a V in green and a border of green.

He's built many skylines for Skyline Import at Loganlea. The guys names Ernie. Gavin has buit him many cars actually. Including a GTS-t with all GTR parts (IIRC) including all guards and stuff. Also a stagea. And every other car that Ernie has built for Zoom magazine, Gavin has done.

Gavin is a fabulous mecahnic who doesn't "blow his own horn" so to speak. That's why everytime someone says somethiing about servicing, I say Gavin. Best advertising is word of mouth. I was put onto Gavin Woods in March last year when I was searching around for a good mechanic. I found him and I haven't turned back. As for people in Brisbane. I'm not really sure. I know Zero (old member off this site) recommended someone from the northside of brisbane in one of the threads. Just do a search in the qld forums for service. might take a while to find it, but you will. Just look for posts that Zero (or Zer0. can't remember) made.

We met a few people over the southside and because it was raining, everyone decided they wanted to be drift kings. But their were no cop cars around.

In the 18 months that I've owned my car, I've had to spend $3000 just to make it road worthy. Clutch, diff, odometer, lots of wiring, bushs, and many other little things. They know how to make their money and unfortunately we didn't know much about skylines when we bought ours and we've had to pay the hard way. Hence why my car is still stock.

Maybe they just decided they wanted to rip a chick off?? I'm not going to start with the things that's happened. I've mentioned it many times before. Do a search on streetmachines on here. I really can't be bothered wasting my breath again. We hate them, and apparently they hate us, as they nicely told one of their customers who happened to be our best friend. Good service eh? Telling someone the hate us for us trying to do the right thing and them rorting us?

I know they traffic squad have got some XR6 turbos on the way. They may already have them.

The known red magna's number plate is 365(I think) IAC. It's a red VRX Magna. Don't think they use it anymore but.

I really doubt the magna would be one.

I could have gotten a few of the numberplates from my old work, but me being an old hand a cop cars, I just know the look of them.

Amanda (Gavin's wife) is a gem. She keeps me entertained while I'm sitting there waiting for my car to be fixed. You won't be dissappointed.

We had our camera, but if we had started filming them, they would have pulled us over and raped our arses. Double standards, they are allowed to film us, but we aren't allowed to film them.

It's a Consult Machine. Gavin is the only other person I know of, beside Nissan Australia that are LEGALLY allowed to have these machines. They are worth emormous amounts of money and they do their job perfectly. If something with your car isn't running right, he will hook this machine up to see whats going on. My car is data streamed everytime I go down there.

There was an Andrew who was there. He's gone. Their was a David, he's gone now. Theres now two new guys. Really nice guys who own skylines somewhere in their families and have a genuine interest is skylines.
