  1. Does the skyline line up against the audi wayne?? I'll swap you anyday Or if you like, you could donate your old engine to me.
  2. I saw this post and got a little worried I've spoken to "The Man" (read: Gavin) and he said there shouldn't be a problem, but if there is, the fault can be diagnosed and a there will be a way around it. As I said in my pm. I might search a few more avenues first.
  3. Gavin does use Dysons Dyno but only because it's the best one within the immediate area. I mean, he could drive a few k's to get to one, but I'm pretty sure he'd have some type of deal with them. I gather that Gavin can install the SAFC's seeming he can install the PFC's. I think it would be harder to do the PFC. Just a question, why have you's choosen to go the SAFC and not the PFC? Genuine question because I'm looking at doing the upgrades soon myself.
  4. So it's a good thing that the light never comes on! Thank god for that.
  5. What exactly does the A-LSD light mean??? My A-LSD light has only ever come on when I was on an uneven surface and I went to accelorate to get up the drive and the car kinda went into spastic mode and the ABS and A-LSD came on and stayed on until I turned the car off and turned it back on. My slip light comes on all the time when ever I loose traction. Moanie, does your slip light still work as well?? or is it just the A-LSD light?? I'm a little confused
  6. I have the hydrolic diff in my car as well. The two little lights on the dash. That is a really interesting question that I never really thought about then thinking about ordering a pfc. I've just asked my mechanic and he's going to be back to me and when I have an answer I'll let you know moanie. PS. Dont break your diff. They are ****en expensive to fix! Trust me.
  7. His poxy proton that he thinks is cool :uh-huh: :bahaha: Sorry marko
  8. Hahah.. It's like I go there all the time or something!! IIRC James (belgarion) was charged around $220 for the installation of his AVCR.
  9. As it's coming up to his Christmas break, I dare say he'll be pretty close to booked out. I can't go in for a service until after Christmas. Mainly because I can't make it there before they close for christmas. I think they are only open for another 3 weeks. IIRC the closing dates are from the 19th Dec 03 - 5th Jan 04. Their address is: Gavin Wood - Auto Tech 23 Gibbs St Labrador 4215 Ph: 5529 2313
  10. The Apexi AVCR is only $672.669 AUD from Nengun. So your prediction of $900 - $1000 is a little bit over
  11. I'd love to have "With or without you - U2" and "The day you went away - Wendy Matthews" I don't know, but I'm one of those people that play sad songs at sad times. I'd also like to be cremated and have the person closest to me do a huge burnout beside my resting place.
  12. Got the car back yet Niz? I gather you are happy about your gold star Strich9ine?
  13. Are we meant to be quoting hoon squad cars? Or just general undercover police vehicles. I can tell you right now that some of the vehicles posted above ARE service vehicles, but are cars that the heads of sections use as a personal vehicle.
  14. These questions are getting too difficult. I can't get hold of my contact either so I can't damn well find out.
  15. They are just doing their job. After just resigning from 3 years of service with the QPS, there are some really good cops out there, but their are some bad ones as well. Just think if you went to work and then ended up having to find a dead body in a house (been locked up in the heat for 2 days) I was told by one copper that this is the worst thing he's come across. The smell, the flies, the everything.... It's a tough job, and they are tough people to get out and do that job. There are different departments within the QPS, one of them being the STTF. Just like theirs the JAB, CIB, Prostitution Bureau and many more. We normally don't hear about any of these things because they are normally involved in court cases and underage people. What ever is going to get the QPS the best public publicity, and recognition, they are going to do it.
  16. If I were you, I'd just keep the one you've got. At least you know what condition it's in, what's been done to it, and how it's been treated.
  17. Refer to the thread below in regards to information on Maximum Car Performance. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=26793 The local police stations around the area are: Runaway Bay - Morala Ave 4216 (07) 5537 5099 (probably the closest to Labrador) Surfers Paradise - 68 Ferny Ave 4217 (07) 5570 7888 Southport - 96 Scarborough St 4215 (07) 5571 4222 To dial this = international access number + 61 + 07 + 5537 5099
  18. Strutto.... remembering that knore got a new water pump and genuine bovine GTR timing belt. Adds a few $$ to just a normal major service. Also depends on which spark plugs you choose to put in.
  19. Silver S pac commodore (stationed at Upper Mount Gravatt Police Station). Number plates are 177 GUH. It frequents Logan Road and Mount Gravatt Mountain. It also has a hairdryer on the side of it.
  20. That is very interesting JR. We should look into this. But in all honesty. Loosing points and giving them back within 1 year isn't really a deterant is it?? I'll look into it today.
  21. That means, if you LOOSE, 4 or more demerit points within 1 year, you loose your licence.
  22. You are given 4 points for THREE years. If you loose 3 points within those three years, you have 1 point until the end of those three years when you are accredited with 12 points on your opens. If you loose that last one point within those last few years, you loose your licence. So, basically. 4 points for 3 years. So if you got your P's on the 31 July 2003, you won't get your opens until 1 August 2006. As of the 1 August 2006 you will have 12 points (if you are not fined within those three years) If you do get a fine, the points are given back to you after 3 years from the date of the offence. Comprende?
  23. Err.. In QLD you get 4 points on your p's and have your provisionals for 3 years. Yes. The police officer was correct. I've just come off my p's onto my opens. Also remember, while on your p's you have a 0.00 alcohol reading as well. Not that you should be drinking and driving at all. I detest any type of drink/drug driving. But yeah. 3 years for your provisionals then you go onto your opens. Unless I think, if your over 24 you go onto your provisionals for 1 year, then go onto your opens.
  24. That's a bit harsh. Yeah he shouldn't have advertised in your thread, but theres no need to say that shit. How about "I think that was a bit inappropriate".. Not all of us have $125,000 to spend. NB. Target ain't that cheap anymore either.

As I said in my post, with my car, the wire from the speedo to computer wasn't connected and there for resulting in the HICAS, ABS, speed sensor (HICAS and ABS use the speed sensor to function) and the speed cut wasn't working. All because of this one wire. When I had that problem, the light used to come on after a few minutes of driving. Everyone kept telling me to check the power steering fluid but that wasn't the problem. I have a spare HICAS computer here if you want to check that out. I got it.... "FREE" lets just say
