  2. All car yards will rip you off if they can. It's a known fact.
  3. Who drives PSI33?? I saw quite a few silver skylines yesterday along kelvin grove road around 4ish
  4. .... I would rather take it to a mechanics to have a service done because not only do they do a service... they also inspect the car for any other mechanical failures that might be starting to show By this I mean, for instance, how would by just doing a service myself that my radius arm bushes needed replacing because they were split. Or that my diff was going to cark it in about 5000k's and needed to be rebuilt. Or that some ****er had stuffed with the wiring and my abs and speed sensor and hicas weren't working. Does that make me less of a skyline enthuisiast because I like to look after my car and get someone who works on skyline every day of his life to do a service and check the car over for anything else that may be wrong? We have another car that we that is a shitter that we do servicing on ourselves. How dare I go and get someone to service my car because I care enough about it to give it the attention it deserves
  5. Where have you been?? A few weekends ago I saw two chicks driving your car, then I finally saw it back at the house! Have you been away overseas for work again?
  6. Dammit chris. You beat me to it. I hope everyone has a safe and merry christmas and a great new year. Remember double demerits guys! No speeding.
  7. My car was sent to chapman and chapmans to get a roadworthy. This was nearly 2 years ago
  8. My car got "Road worthied" there.. HA.. that's a joke. Wasn't even road worthy. That's my experience.
  9. That one took 1 month to organise. I gave everone 1 months notice and look what happened!! Hopefully when the club gets launched, slip will have the same support that that event did with 30+ skylines.
  10. Congrates JL.. It's not fair but. I want one
  11. .... Do you people ever learn?? Slip... the president of the club has just tried to organise an event 1 week ago... And now your trying to organise an cruise, 4 days before christmas??
  12. as i said in another thread, he's not booked out. the only day he's booked out is the 19th dec
  13. Your going to get gavin to install it but not tune it?? ... Are you nuts? Who else is going to tune it. As far as I know, Gavin is the only knowledgable mechanic around that knows apexi gear inside out. Some people say they know about it, but wouldn't have a clue, others have to read a manaul. To keep the costs down with installing items, Gavin road tunes them and then fine tunes them on Dysons' Rotary's dyno. Depending on what you want done is to how much time and how much it will cost. Remembering that sometimes they might need the car for more than one day, just to make sure it runs right. So you will have to ring up and find out all these things before you have it done.
  14. Nah, no ones allowed into the workshop unless they are escorting you to show you something wrong with your car. Which, come to think of it, I spend most of my time in the workshop than sitting down chatting to Amanda :| One good thing about Gavin's and his mechanics is they like to show you things so you are aware of problems or what things do. When my car had the power problem, he showed me the consult machine to show me what was going on. I kinda understood it, but not really. I learn lots of things when I go down there
  15. Unfortunately not. Although, he is very willing to give advice out over the phone if he has the time. If he had an email address, he'd be answering emails all day and not working on our cars I normally sit around and wait if I'm just getting a service. If you book it in first thing in the morning, it's normally ready around 10ish. If not, presuming you like shopping, you can walk about 1k at the most down the road to harbourtown and do a little bit of browsing/shopping. Sometimes if I know the car is going to take ages, I normally go down with my B/F and we make a day of it buming around the coast.
  16. AYAYA... My car is going down for a service next Friday. Cept Andrew is taking it down, so I'll assume that I will then need some new tyres by the time he gets back Just for anyone who is interested, they still have some spare time before christmas to get services done, but you better get in quick!
  17. Dangerous dave also forgot to mention that TSR also meet every saturday night at Springwood in the Crazy Clarks carpark at 8:30 (normally). There always a few cars going down the coast. Not sure about the next few weeks coming up, seeming it's christmas and stuff.
  18. I thank you soo very much for having taste and removing that huge oversized novelty wing that did nothing. Good work
  19. There has just been a downward spiral in the cruise scene alone. It's quite dissappointing that the cops can have such a huge affect on car enthuisiasts
  20. Christmas isn't the best time for a cruise
  21. RMA, I think that's where I got my A/C Compressor off. They are a bit on the expensive side, but they are apparently the only reputable import wreckers on the gold coast, so I gather they can charge anything they want. The addresses are: AllJap Autoparts at Underwood 62 Kingston Rd Underwood 4119 (07) 3841 0066 RMA 43a Egerton St Southport 4215 (07) 5532 7914
  22. Gav doesn't just do engine work, he also does suspension and stuff like that. I think they damaged your turbo to Chris. I think you may need a new one *wink wink*
  23. I think I'm missing something too!
  24. I can't. Prior engagements. Why do you always make these nights on ones that I'm already booked
  25. Theres me to!
