  1. All good mate, i too apologies if you feel like i "shut you down" a bit too strongly, but i've had a few expensive lessons learnt over my 8yr Skyline ownership. From what i hear only 1% of p-platers get hassled about the power/weight restriction. I know when i was on my P's, in the mid 90's, that law was enforced a great deal more strictly; it's like most cops have forgotten about it.
  2. Definately! - Real DJ's that used vinyl and knew how to beat mix, scratch, etc (no offense Jay) - The original Rap/Hip-Hop greats - The lack of speed cameras - The good old nights when Lygon and Chappel were huge and you didn't get defected for cruising you car up and down the strips (Hey i was young then and just got my license ) - Fuel prices - House prices Wish i bought then, sooo much cheaper. Plenty more but i gone blank.
  3. ^^That is what i was referring to. Anyone that got their license after 1 July 2007, can not modify their car's power output; whether they are on their red or green plates. You mentioned that you can modify you intake on green P's, which isn't true if you got your license after this date. \/ \/ Anyone that had their license before this date is still restricted to power/weight limitations. So ALL P-platers driving turbo R33's and R34's are doing so illegally. I know of a couple of people that sold their Skylines because the police kept pulling them up and fining them for this offense.
  4. 1. sorry can't help there. 2. All grinding noises are not at all usual and should be looked at as a priority. Should start and run like a normal rb25 or rb30. Determine exactly where the noise is coming from and determine what is causing it. 3. I just used all my rb25 brackets to fit the p/s, a/c and alt.
  5. For someone that admits he knows nothing about the new laws you sure talk a lot Keep your posts to yourself if you have no idea on the topic, it could be an expensive exercise for the person on the other end. Any P-plater that got his/her P's, after the date the new laws were introduced/enforced, can not modify their cars in ANY manner that would increase the power output of the car; as far as VIC laws are concerned.
  6. I am after a Q45 TB. - Must be in good condition - Must have the TPS fitted - Must not have the Traction control option - Delivered to Airport West, VIC, 3042. OR Melb Pick-up - Prefer a PM, with price (including delivery), if you have one for sale. Alan
  7. Hey Bec, Sorry to be a pain but since they are charging per person, I'll just grab a room with two double beds. Al
  8. Agreed Hamish: Don't you have a set of stockies to fit on your car while it's getting preped and painted. Don't want you to stain those nice rims
  9. If that's the case i want to see the R this time Bec, i'll take the double+3 singles room - 2 nights Thanks Alan
  10. +1 Definitely the best Harmonic Dampener out of the two. To suit RB26, allowed ALL factory fitted rb25 belts. Just had to modify my p/steering pump, by moving the pulley 5mm forward, as i was using rb25 parts on my rb25/30. Otherwise a straight bolt on.
  11. I have an R33, rb25det, fuel rail if you are still after one. Located in Melb. PM me an offer+delivery
  12. Photos came absolutely tops Jarrod, thanks for the CD!! 6+mb pics guys, well worth the $40 for the quality
  13. Al

    Clutch Problem

Could be a number of things: - your driving - installation - clamp pressure - clearance issues - etc
  14. If you neglect your car that much, that the fuel filter becomes that clogged, that your regulator isn't able to provide pressure and your pump unable to keep flow rates up, then you shouldn't drive a performance car
  15. Really................. I never knew SAU had a hoon/thrasher filter
  16. Just to note though: It's always good to use good quality filters (air, fuel, oil, etc) as they will keep dirty shit from entering into your engine. But will not add extra Kw; well only the air filter may
