  1. I put the Cusco Adj rods in mine, I do a bit of track work, and they work well and eliminate the bush altogether with the rose joint. But, I am not sure whether they are worth the money for the occasional weekend racer, but they do look really cool!
  2. Bad luck man, that really sux. I have just hidden my car in the garage as we have had hail warnings across the TV all afternoon up here in Brisbane. If you have insurance, definately claim this one, it will cost a bit to repair. If the hail was a big as you say I can imagine the size of the dents and there is really no easy way out. I have been caught in a similar situation in my work van with cricket ball size hail and it made a real mess. All the glass in the car was smashed and the dents were everywhere. That was an insurance claim for me. That was bad enough I couldn't imagine that happening to my line, bad luck mate.
  3. I have been told by a couple of tyre guys that the are road legal, plenty of people use them.
  4. Yeah, I saw Ernie last week as he said he won't let anyone else touch his cars, only Gavin
  5. Yes remove the back seats. The bottom part of the seat has a couple of bolts that need to be taken out then grab each end of the seat about 300mm from each end and give it a swift hard yank, this will unlock the two clips under there. There are two more bolts for the back part of the seat, take these out then remove seat. The rear shelf, from memory, then just lifts out. You need to press the two ends though as the plastic quarter interior trims are keyed into the parcel shelf. Just watch those, it took me ages to work it out.
  6. 5 minutes out of the Brisbane CBD, Taringa

  8. Thanks nismoman18, hey yours was a pretty snappy sale!
  9. I will try and organise some more pics soon
  10. Time to sell the GTST as I am importing a GTR next year and need to start collecting funds and getting rid the current batch of cars. Its a regretful sale, I have had the car for 2 years and have done 45000ks in it. So here is the description: 1994 White R33 GTST series 1 106000km Sunroof GTR Style front bar with genuine clear indicators Nismo clear side indicators GTR side skirts Gracer rear wing (I think) 17x8 rims with Yokohama A539s 235/45 Cusco OS strut bar Front and Rear Cusco Adj radius rods Whiteline camber kit (front) Bilstein shocks all round with lowered springs DBA 4000 slotted rotors front and rear Bendix ultimate pads O2 Race pod filter with UAS cold air box 3in 5zigen cat back exhaust BOV (not sure what type, was on the car when I got it) Alpine HU and EQ 3M black carbon tint Soundstream SA164 AMP Pioneer 6in speakers Front and Rear It has been a great car, strict service regime (oil and oil filter every 5000km and major service every 10000km). Have all receipts, spent a little too much on it last year, but it was fun. Would like $20000, but am open to reasonable negotiation. EDIT: And it has rego till july next year
  11. The amazing thing is the rears go black with dust nearly as quick as the front! Gives the wheels that black chrome look, and think some people pay good money for that. They will be filthy after 300-400km. And when you hit them with the hose a stream of black filth washes down the driveway, easily the dustiest brake pad I have ever used.
  12. That would be me, Ultimates with slotted 4000 series rotor = dust city. My wheels aren't the easiest to clean either. They have performed well at the track, but yeah the dust is REALLY, REALLY annoying.
  13. I got my car back today and am very happy with the level of service. Pricing seems pretty good too, and it is always good to see skylines there everytime you go there.
  14. All fixed, it was the crank case seal. The whole inside of the seal (the bit with the little spring in it) was gone all together, just the outside was remaining which explains the severity of the leak. New crank seal was $23, and he also did the two cam seals $29. He also put a new tensioner on as the bearing was a little noisey. All is good!
  15. Yeah, I parked my car beside one of the skyline imports' wide body GTSTs and it made mine look pretty ordinary.
  16. Well, I have heard many good thing about Gavin Woods, from here and other random locations. His name always seems to crop up in a positive light. I hope this is all true as I shall drop my car in there tomorrow (hopefully) as it has shat the crank case seal big time and is spraying oil everywhere. They seemed good to talk to on the phone so he is off to a good start!!
  17. Yeah, I was hoping it was the filter not done up properly, or just some spillage, but alas, its not. Its completely dry around the filter. I had it up on ramps wiped it down thoroughly then started it, and watched it flow, not pretty. I talked to my mechanic today and he said it wasn't that expensive for the parts, just a little labour intensive and probably do the timing belt while he is there even though it was done 15000km ago. He also said it was quite rare so I am interested for him to see the problem and get his take on possible reasons. Hopefully I will get time to drop it off tomorrow afternoon.
  18. I first noticed the oil on the floor about a week ago, but I thought it was left over oil as I changed the oil and oil filter about a week and a half ago and have yet to master taking the oil filter off without dropping a bit of the oil and thought nothing of it. I have hardley driven the car since and have done quite a few ks this weekend and it really became a problem quickly. This has suprised me also as I have had the crank seal go in my Gemini panelvan as well and its was gradual thing over a few months and even them it was only a couple of drop over night. This really flows once the motor is started but doesn't drop a thing when sitting (if you wipe it down of cource). I am hoping it is as easy to change as the Gemini was, but unlike the Gemini I won't attempt it, I will leave it to the pros. Having to remove the donk (shudders) has crossed my mind but hopefully not. Should get it to the mechanics Monday or Tuesday hopefully. Thanks for the input guys. Has helped to put my mind at ease, a little.
  19. I am taking my car to the mechanics ASAP anyway and it won't be driven again till fixed, but just wondering what it could be??? My 33 is leaking LARGE quantities of oil from behind the pulley on the crank. It took a while to find, as there is oil everywhere under there now. Do you think it could be the crank case seal?? Is there anything there or just above there that has oil pressure?? It doesn't leak while sitting there but as soon as you start it you can see it dribbling out to the floor. Obviously when on the move it sprays the whole underside of the car and man does it stink! This is very uncool, it sprayed about 1 litre of oil out over a 45km journey so it is no small leak. I am a little concerned but I am thinking it should be just a seal or an oil line. What do you think? You can say the worst, I am already thinking them!
  20. Yeah, he wants a hell of a lot more than thirty grand for the 32 Vspec, try more like 45. I am leaning more towards the 32, for the driving experience but, as personal preference I like the look of the 33 GTR more but this 32 looked real nice. I have thought long and hard about the maintanence factor as I am aware that GTRs do require a strict maintanence regime if you want it to stay healthy, and this has hit home more today as my 33 has just shat a seal (looks like the crank case seal?) and is spraying out oil everywhere. When I mean everywhere I mean everywhere, from the front of the motor to the rear underside of the car! And doesn't it stink! I regularly service my car (oil and oil filter every 5000km, everything else every 10000km) and have still been caught out by this. I am hoping it is nothing too serious as it may put a delay on my plans. At this stage my choice would be the 32 Vspec, a rare car, was in vgc, very quick with all the benfits of the vspec extras.
  21. Went for a drive in a 32 V-spec today. Wow, what a rocket. Very nice, would have to be one of the tidiest 32 I have seen in person. I am now torn, what to do???
  22. MMMMM, hurry up paper work!
  23. I got A539s on mine and they are excellent in the wet also. Yokohamas tend to be a little bit $$$$, but I think with tyres you get what you pay for. I have got Yokohamas on my skyline (235/45 R17 A539), my gemini van (175/70 R13 S760) and my mini (165/70 R10 A008) and they are all great and do exactly what I needed from them. A539 - good street performance with excellent wet weather properties, S760 cheapish quality tyre that gets good mileage, A008 STICKY AS HELL!!
