  1. just a quick question about the safc2; i was reading that they can display boost pressure so could it be used as an accurate boost gauge? im looking at getting one from negun also, how many people are looking at getting one? should do a group buy
  2. yeah, its increased after i changed the plugs for some reason, it cant be what im im wearing as i never got a shock before from the clothes.
  3. just spent the morning changing the plugs (well i woke up at 11:00 ), it had NKG PFR6G-11 in there already gapped to .81 (previous owner i guess); replaced them with the NGK BCPR6ES gapped at .81, everything runs good. .... however i dont if its just me but i seem to get shocked by the car now after i've been for a drive since i changed the plugs. would coilpacks arcing create this shock?
  4. picked up some sparkys today, BCPR6ES gapped at .8 however the neos are meant to have a heat range of 5 right? .... take em back and swap them or stick with the 5?
  5. would a SAFC2 be a better choice for the auto's? (as in, do enough with it to give it a decent tune) seeing how alot of people say the pfc doesn't work too well with them, hard gear changes or something.
  6. it makes that vacumm cleaner like noise at low/mid acceleration however, having an auto, when i kicks down and the revs shoot up it makes that noise similar to a supercharger belt. turbo still makes boost so i guess its ok...
  7. ah, yeah i might invest in one of those electronic types. btw, did your turbo make loud, almost like grinding plastic gear noises when you gun it after the splitdump/front pipe install?
  8. i've done the exhaust too, turbo back which increased the boost but i haven't experienced any misfire, going to change the plugs this weekend but as far i know there still the stock (1.1) gap ones. how did you restict the boost btw?
  9. ok thanks mcCracken, do you know if the heat range should stay the same? also, on that topic of coilpacks, i used to have a problem with them atleast twice a week however once i replaced the vacumm sensors hose (as it kept falling off) everything is now fine , i haven't had any probs with the coilpacks for a least a year.
  10. yeah im with G_Force on this one, as im looking at changing out the old plugs next weekend and need some idea of what i should put in. After the split dump/front pipe install the 34 runs at slightly higher boost now, should this slight increase mean i should gap down to say .7 or just stick with the .8 gap? also, im too woundering what the heat range should be.
  11. sounded good, i had the gfb mach 1 and didn't have any of those stalling issues like other people had.
  12. sorry for yet another hijack , but is that autospeed fuel adjuster and boost controller thing as good as the pfc (when i comes to air/fuel tuning and boost controlling)? would this be recommended as my next mod since after installing and splitdump/front pipe im now running at slightly higher boost than normal. hey lanky71, the first mod i did to my 34 was the FMIC and pod filter (yes i know its 2 intake mods but the 34 sedan is a sleeper kind of car, cops dont care too much where i am anyway ), then a split dump/front pipe and a custom catback system (including the cat, it came to about $650 - done by a local exhaust shop); and yes, i also got a bov and placed it in the 34 auto, bascailly i got sick of it after a few months and took it off ( its also a cop magnet) .
  13. yeah, supras are hard to sell. As im still trying to get rid of mine (a year later)...
  14. not a bad car, as im looking for my next set of wheels. if i could be bothered selling my supra and skyline i would buy it in a second. anyone want to buy a supra or a skyline by any chance?
  15. yay, the package came today! thanks paul! im going to install them on my lunch break...
  16. im guessing its hard coded straight into the ecu... maybe actually installing an aftermarket alarm could override that feature.
  17. yeah he used a little air bag thing he pumps up near the top of door to create a small gap, then reaches in with a piece of wire to pull the lock back; it took him longer to fill out the paperwork.
  18. nah it doesn't have an aftermarket alarm yet, and no the car wasn't moving at the time It seems to lock again after a few minutes of remote unlocking, i thought it might of been a nissan security feature... but if your cars dont do it then was there an optional security system or something that this might be linked to? after thinking about it for awhile though im considering taping a spare key to i/c piping inside the front bumper, that way i wouldnt have to, the next time this happens i wont have to worry about somehow getting home, finding the other spare key, then getting back before someone else takes it. sane idea?
  19. Is there anyway to stop that auto-locking "feature"? today, i had the unfortunate result of that feature happen to me, basically my keys fell out of my pocket into the car when i reached in to get something, long story short, the car locked me out and i had to call racv to come and break into my car (took him about 2mins to break in ). Can that "feature" be disabled or do i just have to live with it?
  20. PM sent, payment confirmation and delivery details. thanks again!
  21. thats not a bad height; low or super lows? ride any rougher?
  22. like you im still deciding wheather or not to just replace the springs with low kings or whitelines; however i have been checking out Slidewize auctions and you can pickup coilovers pretty cheap. Anyone heard of GAB coilovers?(any good) they seem to be all over the auction at cheap prices.
  23. ok thanks, i'll get myself some 3" pipe and extend it a little. A couple of questions for those that have the N1 System, does it drone on the highway? and does the siliencer actually work? thanks!
