Tangles replied to boostn0199's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
same price as the ATS GT3076 .73 AVO rear housing, Garrett CHRA, nissan hiflowed comp housing Adelaide Turbo Services - rated to 280rwkw bolt on solution 100% has my backing as the perfect RB25det turbo upgrade looks like stock, goes 200% better than stock ie stock 120kw, modified 240kw, same fuel consumption -

Hey all on ebay I bidded on and won a S2 Stagea steering wheel and series-2 automatic shifter unit. won for $40 total. here we are: Quick question - how "possible" would it be to setup the auto shifter to work with the series-1 auto? Ive got the 1997 RB25det Stagea auto, series 1. 240kw beast. Ive got access to Mike from MV Automatics at Blackwood SA, just up the road for me; with him being the auto wizard for RB's Id think it would be possible your thoughts? anything special to it? or simply plug and play - ie install and use Id think Mike @ MV Auto should be able to set it up if I cant................... already using his valve body set, and I know he's got other options up his sleeve. when I 1st bought my S1 Stagea I really wanted the S2 for the larger op6 turbo and triptronic auto shifts, but 18k compared to 26k just wasnt in my budget. now, for $40, auto service from Mike with him doing some fiddling around to install, say $450 max(?), its affordable to do, and it'd make my powerful Rb25 that much more fun to drive. whats the go here ?

Hey all freaky, but I bidded on, and promptly forgot about, a S2 steering wheel and automatic shifter unit. won for $40 total. Quick question - how "possible" would it be to setup the auto shifter to work with the series-1 auto? Need To Change My Brake Pads And Rotors... What To Get
Tangles replied to chef_stagea's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
go for DBA slotted rotors and search ebay for good brembo pads I found a set of Panoz (Wilwood)4-pot billet aluminium calipers for $150del. + Wilwood Superlite pads for $100 cant wait to modify and install ! ebay: some cheapy pads http://cgi.ebay.com.au/GTR-200SX-300ZX-IMP...p3286.m20.l1116 and http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nissan-Skyline-Fron...p3286.m20.l1116 -
nice result adelaide turbo services rate their bolton rb25 GT3076r IW ballbearing garret turbo for 270-280rwkw, and is ok up to around 21-22psi $2500 with lines heaps of different types out there. mine features the AVO skyline rear housing and Garrett centre bb Chra / wheels with modified front stock turbo comp.housing. nice result, got heaps and heaps of punch. ask Kidafa his opinions after a little trip yesterday... http://www.avoturboworld.com/pdf/gts_exhaust_housing.pdf AVO is proud to announce our .73 A/R cast exhaust housing upgrade for the Skyline GTS models with the HT15 and HT18 turbocharger. This increases the A/R from the stock .63, and is designed to accept the standard turbine wheel. This improves response and provides a nice bump in mid- and top-end power from your standard turbocharger. Our larger wastegate also decreases chance of backpressure, which can lead to dangerous boost levels. This exhaust housing is also designed to run a Garret GT series CHRA. AVO will be releasing a complete bolt-in turbocharger upgrade for the Skyline GTS. The AVO turbine housing is designed for maximum flow with an internally wastegated housing, as we run the largest wastegate swing valve possible to reduce chances of boost creep in high horse power engines. The quality of the AVO turbine housing is far above the rest with thousands of hours invested into R&D to insure our turbo housing performance. We only use the highest quality, high-temperature casting, which are machined on a 5-axis CNC machine to insure we maintain the precise tolerances necessary for maximum performance and reliability. http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...R_700382_12.htm

I could take 2 of you..... no probs -
I always disconnect the battery after tinkering, service etc. get all power out of the cars system, leave for a while. reset battery and drive wont lose Toshi tune, or safc / sitc settings etc. about to change my 02 sensor too. no issue to it. +1 to Toshi !

a lot of parts from the 33 fit mind you so do a lot from the 34 .... same goes with GTR so obviously its greater than a 33

hahahaha ! on that point, I offer you Sir a ride in my 240kw Stagea setup for twisty-sprints, so it really shouldn't disappoint Q: how do you like it? Shaken or Stirred ?

chat to him via pm, he mailed me a chipped ecu, which we then setup on the dyno with safc-2, got 206kw then changed the turbo to a GT3076 now 240kw same remap chip

Conflicting Gt3076r Specs, Please Help
Tangles replied to conan7772's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
cheers for the info Dynamite ATS rates their version at 280rwkw, and frankly Im real happy with 240kw atm, seeing its auto & stock injectors. I would hope for above 250kw tho if/when I upgrade the injectors/ecu-remap/1.3bar boost tune...... seeing Ive got a strong freshly worked head, etc. With bottom end work (forgies, gtr rods, bearings) Id hit 270rwkw at 20psi Im sure. But then Id need to see Mike at MV Automatics again Comes down to who built/balanced the turbo, and If you've got a strong engine. And the gearbox. This current 240kw tune has no detonation, whereas a previous tune of 190kw with the ex- slide highflow had an 'ol rattle & shake'... -
I hadnt done the "secret squirrel" trick - had the bits right there, but wasnt game to DIY was awaiting to get the setup to the tuners, then at last minute convinced myself that while a) it was going to work after some wiring tricks, b) it wasnt worth it due to undoubtedly the auto seeing early death. had an offer to sell the P-fc, and before I knew it had the Toshi remap setup instead 1

Conflicting Gt3076r Specs, Please Help
Tangles replied to conan7772's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ive had headwork and got tomei cams/springs starts boost 2400 rpm full boost by 3500 - 3800 rpm depending on conditions (road/gear/standing-start or cruising-punch) very responsive. 180kmph overdrive gear @ 3200rpm with steady full boost, pulling full boost of 1.05bar (15psi) before 4000 rpm, and just pulls hard onwards holding boost the whole way (profec-b). rated for 280rwkw with S15 480cc injector upgrade and a re-remap of my ecu would net me 260rwkw+ 240kw is fine for the moment, but eventually will do this ^ and wind up for a 18psi tune (1.25bar) -
time for a dynotune bud !! good luck with it 6

Adelaide turbo services - GT3076 rear AVO .73 skyline 6bolt housing front ported Nissan 45V4 compressor housing 60-Trim centre Garrett bb CHRA 700177-3 very very very NICE auto, stock injectors, 240rwkw -
I plugged it up and it idled fine didnt want to trash my auto gearbox with the lack of ignition retard on gear changes, so didnt go ahead and did the remap instead 240rwkw from the remap + GT3076 better driveability with the auto than power-fc. difference is I cant drop in injectors without doing a complete fresh remap
-
hi ! yeah injectors are Stock. 370cc supposedly flow near 400cc with pressure - or so Ive heard from deatshwerks stock injectors with 040 Bosch fuel pump and an adjustable Nismo fuel pressure regulator I'll grab some S15 480cc injectors next, and do a remap for them to suit at Jeff @ Speedlabs.

hi Ryan how's 300 going for yah ? 240 is niiiice, 270 will be better
