  1. what did you expect lol...
  2. Yeah I'm in good old Adelaide, already converted the 32 to a 33 25, but putting a neo in as it shit itself so hopefully will just be the CAS plus I need to rewire and that's it! Cheers for the offer. edit: Didn't realise you used rsr's on the car, that must cost an absolute fortune with drift!
  3. bargain, I'm picking a neo up for 1900 this weekend, bare motor as well. Still it is the only one I've found for under $2k and in Adelaide in the last 2 months. Where do you get the nuts from? I need to get some new ones so if they are easier to put on I'll grab them instead.
  4. Ah ok, do you find they are better or worse than the ones I'm talking about? Also what did your neo set you back when you bought it?
  5. the nuts are slightly off center so they are a complete bitch to get on and off, I thought everyone used them on turbos though?
  6. How did you break an oil pump?
  7. Sweet, thanks for that.
  8. I'm going to be wiring up my NEO this weekend which is replacing the R33 RB25 I had, now apparently two pins are switched on the NEO CAS, does anyone know which two pins they are?
  9. bahahaha my mate has blown 2 up this year already, crap motor.
  10. What country are you in? Some countries don't measure RON the same way we do so their 95 is actually similar RON to our 98
  11. cool thanks for that
  12. Being as they are both top feed does that mean they interchangeable, eg can I use GTR injectors in a RB25DET NEO fuel rail? Obviously I would need the resistor pack to suit.
  13. A good quality 10w-40 would be perfect
  14. Ah yep, can't go wrong just port matching. How did you do it just overlay the gasket and draw on it?
  15. Did you read up on porting? Apparently there is an art to doing it properly. I'd be too scared to do it wrong and have worse results.
  16. Whoever bought this if you are parting it out and selling the motor please let me know as I am interested.
  17. All good points, personally what I would do is if you don't have a huge amount of important data to back up is do this. Stripe 2 or 3 High performance disks together, and then have another 2Tb backup drive. Now you could mirror to the 2TB, but most the time half your data you don't care about, so do what I do and every night backup all your documents and settings folder, desktop, my docs and any other important data etc. That way if you lose a disk you just format and copy your data back. If you can afford it do a mirror as well but often it is unnecessary. I don't run a stripe, but I do the same thing in principle with my drives. I have about 5 disks, I backup everything important from one disk to another disk each night, assuming I only get one disk failing at any time, I don't lose any data. I also backup to dropbox, and then via dropbox to my work PC.
  18. yeah but they are slow, a stock falcon is quicker
  19. Or just tune it with a coolant temp trim table, even a plain old nistune lets you do that. If it is going to ping on hot days then something is wrong. Obviously within limits eg a 40c day, but you shouldn't be revving it out more than once in that weather no matter what the boost settings is imo.
  20. high and low is just a gimmick, after a week you'll never run it on low trust me hehe
  21. If tuned poorly you could very easily destroy it on just 15, might as well spend the extra getting it tuned properly and run 18+ and reap the rewards.
  22. Hold on so you still have the cylinders filling up with fuel? Isn't it obvious that that is the reason it wont start?
  23. I don't get why you took the head off either, it was clearly a fuel issue with the fuel reg leaking or a vac hose letting fuel into the motor some how.
