  1. How much difference have people seen between something like this vs equal length runner?
  2. get a neo rb25 instead, better than half the thrashed rb26s out there ultimately just sell the car and buy one with everything already done to it
  3. Can you put a one way valve on there to avoid exhaust getting into the system?
  4. because of the headwork there is less restriction hence 17psi is probably comparable to a bit more on a motor with a stock head. kind of like how 5psi on a huge v8 is a big difference to a puny rb20
  5. rich = cooler so it wont burn valves
  6. for you to get that much fuel in the oil after a single crank sounds like the injectors are jammed open, I would say electrical fault, no idea where or what though.
  7. and this is why I trust second hand motors over rebuilt motors even from proper experienced builders. Even when people are spending upwards of $10k you see things like this happen
  8. looks like a really neat job, well done.
  9. Why didn't you have the VCT on? It is also ready a lovely graph but it would look even better again with it on!
  10. Pretty much depends how screwed your diff is, it'll basically either be almost completely locked or it'll skip around corners and open up under power (worst of both worlds), or it'll be the same. So just go the biggest you can get in there if you want to lock it, if you want it to be like an LSD just get an LSD.
  11. All the speedos I've looked at are out by up to 10% at those speeds, wouldn't be suprised if the tacho was also out, always over reading.
  12. Isn't this offset by you using 20% more fuel to reach the same total energy?
  13. once you fix it it is free to drive it and see if its f**ked, it isn't free to rebuild it so might as well see how you go
  14. It has nothing to do with the fact it is turbo or v8, the reason they have different speeds is turbo cars (skylines etc) have much better drag coefficients than V8s from the 70s, they are also usually quite a bit lighter. It has absolutely nothing to do with the engine, power is power, it won't go faster just because it is a turbo
  15. bargain, even if its a heap of shit buy this, it'll have all the gear you need proving its running properly
  16. why on earth would anyone go to the trouble of making a fake 1/4 slip
  17. what did you use to strap all the resistors together?
  18. It doesn't matter if you take 20 seconds to get off the line, your top end speed will be similar that doesn't make any sense.
  19. So sign up? It is a pretty neat forum with lots of cool cars.
  20. maybe he backed off early so he didn't get kicked out and asked to put a cage in
  21. what is a standard wheel combo?
  22. would a decomp plate still help you run more boost though? I know its f**ks with other things, but on the cheap could it work?
  23. Probably pretty low average power due to the huge turbo and lag, also those things weigh almost 2 tonnes
  24. almost certainly going into the low octane knock map, the ecu just saved you possible holes in your pistons! if you want to advance the timing get someone to tune it properly, it'll last forever and get better results.
