  1. its a good $$ making trick for tuners hehe get pfc tuned... $500 get exhaust.... get pfc retuned.. $500 or something
  2. im no car expert.. but it sounds like there might be one of ya problems.. If you got like a 3" turboback exhaust it could add about 20kw or so.. 153 + 20 = 173.. seems like a better result im also no dyno expert either but ya tuning people were probably just giving you some story to make ya happy with the result.... also when you do get the exhaust they will have to retune the PFC again.
  3. do you have a stock exhaust still ?
  4. lbfalcon did you notice a differance once you installed it... ?
  5. Led's are a great solution when replacing incandescent bulbs in many applications. One problem is that LED's don't like changes in voltage. For example, the voltage from a car battery can fluctuate quite a bit from 11 - 14 volts and this can be a big problem for an LED circuit. If you design the LED light for 11 volts then it will shortly become a DED (Dark Emitting Diode). If you design the light for 14 volts it will always be very dim when it is only gets 11 volts. took that from some website.. theres alot of info on it on google, i probs should of searched there b4 coming on sau
  6. nah im still looking for evidance there 100% maybe they are and there wont be any problems.. just odd the diff opinions i've heard about them..
  7. yeah but if it cant get enough voltage it will drop the line voltage.. least thats what an electrical engineer who design's LED's / those cool led signs you see told me today.. also the autobarn guy was telling me why people had returned them.. 2 seperate brands... the LED's were more expensive than the ones i got so i dont no why he'd be trying to con me into getting cheaper ones.. anyone done tests on the voltage on ya car while driving for a week or so just outa curiosity ??
  8. i had a 1.5 litre hyundai excel i drove to sydney in it... didnt have any issues If someone is overtaking in dangerous situations perhaps it may be due to lack of experience etc
  9. u can turn all the warnings on / off to narrow it down... but yeah like the mafia said the diff amounts of flashes are for the diff warnings...
  10. yeah but its like anything.. you learn the basics first... allthough i think my issue when i think about is you shouldnt get a skyline as ya first car on your p's..
  11. education and training in a slower car is the key
  12. 22 dorra bleed valve is where its at then u got another $978 left over to spend on more exciting stuff...
  13. hey peoples i was gonna get some colored LED parker lights to slap in my cluster today, the guy at autobarn said he recommened not to use LED's because it can interfere with the cars voltage... he said it can make it jump/decrease at random times.. I know theres heaps of people using LED's but does anyone know if what he was saying is true ? and if it is, how much would it make the voltage vary ??? thanks
  14. if the reinforcement bar is the bar that the front bumper hangs onto ? u can borrow mine for a few days this week if you like. Im in armadale..
  15. family friend of ours has something like that in all his fleet cars, works great and is a good party trick to show ppl They basicaly just wired it into the alarm output.. like the wires that makes the lights flash / siren go off.. I was looking at getting a gps tracking device but Just Cars said it wouldnt reduce my premium at all
  16. dezz as soon as u hit 21 and get off ya p's it doesnt make ur an expert driver like you said, HOWEVER it does mean you've had 3 years driving experience... and everyone does more crazy stuff on there p's so atleast it would make ppl get most of the crazy stuff out of the way in a slower car
  17. its generaly just the people that havnt actualy tried it that tend to argue.... seems to be the case with most things on the forums on the internet
  18. its about time the government did something smart like this
  19. no offence to you p platers out there, but i hope that is true and they bring it into action... doubt its true though
  20. ya but which wire on the ecu did u hook it upto ???
  21. did u end up hooking it up to a wire on the ecu ?? not trying to be a smart ass im just curious as to which wire it goes to on the ecu ??
  22. which wire in the ecu do u planning on hooking it up ? i made a little switch for someone ages ago.. it had a led on it that used to flash when it was on etc.... there was 3 pins.. 1 went to the power source, 1 to the ground and other one to the power source (white wire i believe) on the solenoid (not the ground wire like normal.. but we did permanantly ground the ground wire..) if that helps at all
  23. oh woops i thought this was a thread on which u prefer more... like others have said.. yeah its 2 differant games but downball was way cooler
