i had the full version of datascan, i dont think it was anything special.. the other 3 programs available for free were just as good.
That 300zx program i cant remember what its called, but it was HEEAAAPPS expensive, that looked realy cool though
I've found the 'telesis' usb-serial adaptor ($45 at Harris technology)
worked perfectly with NewKleers consult unit.. Had no issues using it to interface with either of my 2 laptops (old and a new one) if that helps anyone
The usb-serial adaptor worked perfectly with the 3-4 main software programs..
Also a little tip to getting the usb adaptor in the right direction is to make sure you change the com port of the usb-adaptor to one of the com ports not in use between 1-4, as thats what most of the software applications can only use/detect.
guys, DONT buy from kamakazee in nunawading
kamakazee -
pro's -
- alot of nice cars
cons -
- there dodgy
- cars are wound back.
- they steal from your car.
- dont honour the expensive extra warranty.
- cars are extremly over priced.
- incompetant people at there workshop
if anyone wants more detailed info of any the above please feel free to PM me
also the advantage with using the stock piping is the intercooler output pipe is HEEEAPPS closer to the TB than if you use the traditional intercooler where the output pipe goes around the radiator etc..
I Believe apexi, hks and blitz all make a kit that uses the stock piping..
I think the apexi one was slightly more expensive by like $200, and the cooler itsself looked smaller than the blitz one.. so i got the blitz one
on your safc do you have any adjustments made in the 'lo-throttle' section ?
i remember when i used to have my safc2, a couple of people had your issue, and they seemed to have adjustments in the lo-throttle section..
hey with the datalogit, what differant factors does it let you change the timing on ?
I think paul said earlier u can change it based on the water temp, but are there any others ??
Autobarn in doncaster in Victoria has them in stock.. ( i was there on saturday.. i remember seeing how incredibly over priced they where )
im sure if u got it tommorow morning asap and had it courierd it would make it by wednesday afternoon.

problem was the.. ummm..errr... driver
*cough cough* me *cough couch*
thanks for ya help Emre and Siks
ok i went for another drive...
i guess its in my head, my testing methodology isnt very accurate
on a diff issue, if one of the plugs were screwed it would only be running on 5 cylinders ya ? and it would be idling a bit rough etc etc ?
its not doing the above... just curious as to what would happen though
basically.. allthough i did ask people what plugs to get and 0.8 was recommended..
The new / old spark plugs seem to be failry similiar... they both said NGK R on them.. and the model number on them was pretty close as well..
They hadnt been changed since i got my car about 11 months ago though, so i thought would be nice if i change them When i pulled out the old ones they were all browny/black and looked kinda used...
Im gonna go for a test drive again now... like you guys are saying thought its probably in my head.
ok ive had another think about this
I have been using MOBIL petrol lately instead of the normal BP ultimate...
So basicaly my tests are useless / inconclusive till i get some BP to try her with
