  1. Use the RB20DET turbo wastegate actuator (10psi) rather than the RB25DET Neo wastegate actuator (6psi). cheers
  2. Rims sold? If not, got any details? Is the diamter 17"? Width? Offset? Where abouts are you located? cheers
  3. Shoot, I hate not having the gallery to post this stuff up on. There is only a slight difference in the shock prices, R32 shocks are around $20 more. I will fix it when I get back to the office.\ Sorry
  4. There is a Group Buy for R33GTST Series 1 and Series 2. cheers
  5. Yep, next time I am going to specify purple bushes instead of yellow. Then the "pineapples" name will be even more redundant. cheers
  6. What? I bought a pair of C Spanners last week from my local CBC Bearing store, they didn't have the right size in stock, they ordered then in. Took 3 days. This is one on their cattledogs http://conbear.com/WA%20CBC%20company%20profile.pdf Page 27 "Sykes Pickavant C-Spanners" cheers
  7. Are we talking front or rear stabiliser bar? There are usually 2 holes on each arm of the stabiliser bar, that gives 3 stiffness settings (1 and 1, 1 and 2, 2 and 2). cheers
  8. Caster is basically the camber that happens when you turn the steering wheel (usually measured at 20 degrees). So you don't have rear caster. You only need one set of caster bushes for the front. Skylines have front and rear toe adjusters standard, so you don't need any components to adjust the toe. It is inlcuded on the list so that you know what toe settings are best (recommended by me) for use with the kit. Subframe alignment, Stagea just like R32/33/34 Skylines have big rubber bushes the mount the rear subframe to the chassis. There is a lot of flex in there which upsets the balance. Whiteline have a sub frame alignment kit (sometimes called "pineapples") which removes most of that flexing around. The kit also includes a set of bushes that enable you to adjust the angle of the subframe to change the rear anti squat (how much the rear squats under acceleration). The instructions that come with the kit shows you how to fit the bushes. Hope that answered your questions cheers
  9. That's the Group Buy deal, no freight and an extra 5% off for orders over $1,000. Confirm the price via PM and transfer the money, it's that simple. Unlike some other Group Buys you won't have to wait for all of the other people's orders to come in. I have arranged that each order is processed straight away. cheers
  10. As Roy posted, the feel is irrelevant, it's how much grip it has that determines how fast it is. Generally speaking a softer spring rate gives more grip. That said, we don't use progressive rate springs in the race cars. We do use tender/helper springs to keep the main coils trapped. I have never seen progressive front springs in a Skyline, it is quite common in the rear though. But mostly to soak up the travel in the shock. The progression is there to keep the coil trapped, not to have an initial softer spring rate. You should check this before you jump to the conclusion that it is the progressive rate that is causing the initial vagueness. Firstly check that you actually have progressive springs in the front (unlikely). Then have a look under the car (on ramps with the weight on the wheels) and see if there are any of the progressive coils not sitting on top of one another. That will tell you if there is in fact any progression at all in the dynamic spring rate. cheers
  11. I bought mine through Prestige, great service and their car review was spot on. http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/ They also have stock listings and will buy a car to your specifications if you want. cheers PS; I was faced with the same delimma as you, needed to replace the old Foulcan waggon that was mostly used to tow the race around. The Stagea ended up the best choice.
  12. Hi Burns, this Group Buy isn't though Whiteline directly, it use some Whiteline components, but the Bilsteins come direct from Bilstein. Can I make a suggestion, cancel the order with Whiteline and I will put it through the Group Buy. That way you will get all of my designed tricks included and a better price. PM me to confirm. Cheers
  13. Hi Gif, I am working on R32GTR and R33GTR, should be ready in about a week. The shock valving is quite tricky, all of the 6 valves will need changing in each shock. So maybe ~$25 per shock more than R33GTST. The springs, bars and bushes will be the same price. cheers
  14. Each of the items will "work" on its own, but on a Stagea the stabiliser bars make a huge difference, because of their higher centre of gravity, particularly the rear for obvious reasons. The extra caster also make a big difference, they simply don't have enough caster standard (same as GTR's). Whether you need the camber kit or not depends on how low you want it to be. The lowest setting on the front means you need the front camber kit. The 2nd lowest setting on the rear means you need one camber kit there as well. The lowest setting on the rear usually means 2 rear camber kits. If you need some more details have a look in the Stagea Suspension thread as it is pretty well all covered there. cheers PS; I have designed these kits because so many guys buy a set of Jap coil overs, lower it to ground and think they have the best handling Skyline ever. Then some of them are lucky enough to follow a properly set up car and they realise what they have is not only poor handling but much rougher riding than necessary.
  15. He's on fire, in race 2 Duncan finished 2nd again. GTR's 1st and 2nd again. One race to go. cheers
  16. I don't know exactly how long the Group Buy is going to last, judging by the early interest maybe a month. I have also completed the engineering on R32GTST and Stagea, and Group Buys are available on them right now as well. I will be doing R32GTR next, followed by R33GTR. There will be a circuit emphasis set out in about a month, followed by a drag emphasis set. These will be a bit more specifically tailored but still very useable on the street. For this set I have chosen off the shelf Whiteline springs and then matched the shock valving to them and the stabiliser bar rates, plus I have added extra adjustment to the stabiliser bars. I have also road and track tested this set up and matched the alignment products and settings to the spring shock and bar rates. The idea is the supplier (Jamex Australia) will then be able to sell a set of road, circuit, drift and drag suspension for every model of Skyline. I just wanted to help out the guys on SAU, some of whom have let me use their cars and parts for testing over the past 2 years. That's why I insisted on starting off with a Group Buy. cheers
  17. Hi Brad, no problems getting the rear Bilsteins with forks (instead of bushes), the price is pretty much the same. I don't know how long I can keep up the Group Buy, it depends on how many people take it up. At least a month I would say judging by the early interest. Cheers
  18. Try sticking it in 4wd and see if that fixes it. If it does, then it's an ATTESSA problem, been playing around with the wiring lately? BTW, Have you checked the ATTESSA fluid level? cheers
  19. I have organised a SAU Group Buy for Whiteline suspension components and Bilstein shock absorbers for Stagea Series 1 and Series 2. We get 15% discount off recommended retail and free freight if the individual order is over $500. Plus anyone who spends $1,000 or more gets an additional 5% discount. I have chosen the springs rates and the stabiliser bar rates based on my experience with this model. Plus the shocks come with matching valving for those spring rates and 5 circlip grooves for setting the height up just how you want it. In addition the adjustable stabiliser bars come with 2 extra holes for even more adjustment. The recommended settings for road use are also included. The savings on a full kit is around $600, so it is not only technically a great set up it is also good value for money. Delivery is via Toll Priority and I have organised an Australia wide price, so it doesn't matter where you live, you will get the parts at the same price as everyone else. Please post up your order here and any questions you may have. cheers PS; Several sets of shocks and springs are currently in stock, bushes and stabiliser bars are made to order. So delivery is 10 days from time of order, all items are shipped via Toll Priority using their Off Peak service. Consignment note numbers will be provided at the time of shipping, so your order can be tracked via Toll. Payment should be made in full to the bank account details in the initial post, the receipt number for internet banking is acceptable or a copy of the deposit slip for over the counter banking. Send them to me via PM.

  22. Only if your current O rings are damaged, or too hard from age and heat to seal properly. In which case they should be replaced anyway. cheers
  23. Any R33GTST dump pipe will fit. You can buy replacement wastegate actuators from any turbo shop (GCG have them). An R32GTST standard wastegate actuator (10 psi) is a good upgrade, if you can find one. I hope you are not going to run the standard Stagea turbo at more than 12 psi all the time. It is not a good idea, the usual ceramic turbine rules apply. cheers
  24. Let's start off with an EManage is not an ECU, it is a simple piggy back. The standard ECU still runs everything, the EManage smply bends a few signals (AFM voltage mostly) to trick the ECU into leaning off the A/F ratios. If you unplug the EManage the standard ECU will run the engine as per standard. Japanese "Premium Unleaded" is 100 ron. It used to be a problem when we only had 95 ron (pre Optimax and Ultimate), we had to retune Jap (aftermarket tuned) cars all the time. But since we now have 98 ron it hasn't been anywhere near as much of a problem. I doubt that your car with an EManage, piggy back, will have been tuned so tight that the difference between 98 ron and 100 ron is going to be an issue. I strongly suggest you have it checked on the dyno, the 20 minutes and $100 (tops) would be well worth it. Hope that helps cheers
