  1. Almost sounds like the clutch is not disengaging properly and this is why you are having trouble changing gears and why it rolled forward even though you had your foot on the clutch when you started it.. Doubt it's slipping, more likely not disengaging..
  2. R33's are a push type clutch I believe and the R34 is a pull.. either way, there DOES need to be some minor alteration to use a R34 gearbox in an R33... As for internals.. NFI what the difference is, however everyone wants to get their hands on an R33 one, but not the R34's.. wonder why?
  3. I'm back on Thurs, so should be all good.. looking forward to this.. was thinking of trying to fix my sunroof before it, but i'll wait till the monday when the G/F is back @ work..
  4. Shannons offer a track day insurance extension if you are already with them..
  5. There used to be a pizza cruise that everyone went on.. Chatswood Westfield Carpark to Palm Beach Pizza.. Could be good!!..
  6. Put me up as a maybe, i'm keen, but have to see how it is after I get back from the US..
  7. Nice shots Wil, First one came out really well, love the sky in the background..
  8. Thanks for all the comments guys, feel free to post up pics of the US.. I'm currently in San Diego, amazing city.. haven't had much time to take any more shots from there.. Today I went to the Aerospace Museum which has an SR-71 Blackbird mounted out the front.. Most amazing thing was the F-4 Phantom hanging up inside, I never realised they were soo huge, the photo won't do it justice.. Looking at heading to Mexico tomorrow if we have time.. back to Aus on the 23rd Jan.. Ok, here are my latest.. not as good as above, but still some are ok.. I went on the Maddison Square Garden "All Access Tour" this place is incredible, there is a stage underneath the main court area.. Underneath the basketball court is a Ice Hockey floor that the can remove all the wood from in about 2 hours.. We also got to go into the Rangers change room, was pretty messy as they had played the night before.. Metropolitan Museum of Art has an exhibit of Armour and Weapons, this is one of the knights suits of armour from probably early 1500's.. This was out of our hotel room in San Diego.. We saw the Panda's @ San Diego Zoo.. There are only a couple of Zoo's in the world that you can see Panda's.. Here is the F-4 Phantom @ the Aerospace Museum.. It was flown off the USS Constellation.. Cheers Links
  9. I think everyone seems to be on the right ball.. If your after "power".. than go Full Exhaust + maybe a hi-flow panel filter R34 SMIC seems to be the way to go for intercooler - from what everyone says they're safe up to 200rwkw Bleed valve off the forum for $30 - set boost at a constant 8psi to be safe.. Than i'd start looking at either SAFC/PFC and SydneyKid suspension setup.. ASSUMING you have good tyres, brakes are in good condition and the car is going fine.. Also assumes you have had the Engine and Gearbox Oil Changed and all fluids checked..
  10. Search search search search search.. This has been talked about HEAPS.. no offence, just spend a bit more time looking.. Make sure you pick today and older in the search so you get everything.. From what I know.. you can use it in an auto, however it doesn't have the shift-logic so it's not recommended as it can be quite harsh..
  11. Yeah, dezz we'd have the same gearbox.. i've still got my main bearing stuffed and it's whining.. probably look at getting it fixed sometime.. Late R33 gearboxes are probably worth fixing rather than replacing.. Woolls, you have much trouble getting it out and pulling it apart?? Got any photo's.. def interested..
  12. Installing 3.03 is easier than getting Devhook running.. If you want i'll strip it down and put up a file that contains only what you need (2 folders).. if your running 1.50 it's very easy to install.. Cheers Links
  13. Congrats to both of you..
  14. Great pics Fatz.. Hmm.. TAS seems to be the place to go for a holiday I think.. Now just to convince the G/F why we need to go to Japan.. Hope you've got some more pics..

    My Photo Diary.

I got the 17-85 because it's providing me with a bit more long distance ability.. I think a 17-40 won't give me enough zoom.. oh well.. each to their own.. i've been extremely happy so far with it..
  16. Is it when you first crank it over.. or is it when you turn the key to "on" or whatever it is.. e.g. 1 step before cranking..
  17. Probably the fuel pump priming..
  18. here is my entries http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=151535
  19. BTW you'll notice there are no car photos.. that's because all the cars i've seen have been CRAP.. not deserving of getting their photo's taken..

    My Photo Diary.

Nice shots Sam.. Amusing, I got a 400D 2 weeks before I headed away on my trip - xmas day.. I got a 17-85mm Image Stabilising lens with it becuase I probably couldn't hold it still I think lol.. Might get a longer lens next.. this one is excellant though and would def recommend it if you were looking for an upgrade..
  21. Hi all, I'm currently in the US on a 5 week holiday away from home and have decided that I might share some of the photo's i've taken with you.. All of them are unedited except for resizing and adding my copyright.. So here we are, i'll add some info for each one for you.. First one is a picture of an image I didn't take, but find it amazing.. This is the remaining 2 WTC buildings, there might be another one, however these were the 2 I could shoot.. View from the walkway onto the site where they are rebuilding.. Yosemite NP blew me away, so beautiful.. A seagull hanging around while @ statue of liberty, I have another one that looks better.. but thought i'd share this one with you.. Sunset of Statue of Liberty.. Central Park Sax player making a $$$... Max Brenner hugmug, this was a quick photo that came out well I've got some more, hope people like.. Depending on what people say i'll probably put some more up.. Cheers Links
  22. GT2 is currently being played on my PSP.. I don't think there is ANY other game out there for portable console that even comes CLOSE to how good that game is.. I would probably look at getting the custom 3.03 firmware.. i've got a zip of it somewhere if people need it, otherwise search for 3.03 OE-A upgrade..
  23. Or the oil sender is faulty... which is a common issue in the R33's.. But could also be the hot temperature with thin oil..
  24. As of this month the touge master is the RE Amiya RX-7 AND the Amuse S2300GT-1 - they drew in the latest Hot Version Vol. 82... MCR GT-R got beaten by the Amuse S2300GT-1
  25. Wow, that looks like it was a good day... Dino writes a fair bit for HPI, so i'm sure if he was there he'll do an article.. Looks good, can't wait for the next Best Motoring.. Just read this on dino's blog: ●Tsukuba Super Battle 2006 (Rev Speed Magazine) This is THE event of the year for me. This is what I enjoy the most, fast modified cars out on track proving what they can do. Fastest car this year was the M-Speed GTR which managed a 55.230 sec lap with Tanaka-san behind the wheel. Yamada-san drove the Cyber Evo (now built & looked after by Unlimited Works, not Garage HRS) and posted a 55.864 sec lap. Third place in the lap time rankings went to the R-Magic FD3S with a 55.947 sec lap. Two days prior to the TSB 2006 Taniguchi broke the track record for a modified car with the HKS CT230R posting a 53.999 sec lap. Modified cars are all getting extremely fast nowadays and its always so enjoyable to be there in person seeing tuners battle it out. I'm already looking forward to next year's event! Check out how low this GT-R is dipping..http://blog.gtroc.com/dino/TSB2006-323.php
